I am placing my money, on him being with Sakura (that or Hinata, but thats for another argument). I say this because I believe after some huge event she will give on sasuke, cause not any medical jutsu she knows can bring him back from the road hes on. After that she is going to realize how important Naruto has been to her: she evens says he has always understood her, and I think it will take her awjile to realize how important she is to him aswell, as Naruto would be... well the Kyuubi without her (He wouldnt be able hold himself if he lost two close friends, their would be nothing him holding back). You know I am not a huge fan of this couple I actually think Lee+Sakura is better, but the way the show and such is heading I think This is more cannon. I would use better examples but they contain major spoilers so I don't know if they are acceptable to use... I am going to do them in white (so you all have been warned): In the part were Sakura tries to hunt down sasuke the first time (were she meets Orochimaru the second time), Naruto gets hurt and nearly dies, she screams "Naruto" and states that she can't lose him too, so she kind of sets her self to become stronger so she can Help Naruto Next time, which kind of makes me wonder.


I will have many great examples later I love talking about Cannon I dont like. Well its awesome and I think they are the most likely the best possible, but I still like others much more.

Yup, I also agree with him and Sakura. Of all the other female characters, he's interacted with Sakura the most, being her teammate and close friend. In the timeskip, Naruto's feelings have matured for her, but it doesn't mean that he gave up on his love for her. It could be stating that he doesn't have a child-like crush, but true devotion and love. Also, it even looks like Sakura's love for Sasuke has died down. Now she sees him as an important friend and comrade that is lost.

Nah, just kidding. I know that pairing will never be Canon.

In all seriouness, I must agree with Belladonna. I've noticed that Naruto has been slowly accepting Hinata. At first, he barely knew she was there...then the fight with Neji happened and obviously she was his friend. I haven't been keeping up to date with the new Naruto chapters much, but I know enough to know that Naruto and Sakura's relationship seems to be dimming down to just friends and Naruto seems all right with that. Besides, in the first place he never really loved her, he was just obsessed with her, sort of like how fangirls are obsessed with Sasuke or Itachi or somethin'.

She's only been his friend when he was twelve. He barely noticed her before that, and she's his friend, but so are all these people. So for only Hinata to stand out of all of them is pretty unfair. Besides, he's not a CLOSE, BEST friend. That would be his team 7, and Gaara. Hinata's just one of the sea of peoples. Sasuke and Sakura are more important to him, since they are his teammates, who have been there for him when he was happy, sad, anything.

Besides, they've interacted for about two hours. Yes, I'm sure of it.

And I'm just curious, but how far have you read the manga? ^.^

Well, technically, isn't Hinata 'obsessed' with Naruto as well?

Naruto should, and most likely will, end up with Sakura.

Look at logic, look at the manga.

First of all, Naruto has shown that he cares and understands for Sakura much more than any other female in Konoha. Episode 3/Chapter 3:

"I finally understand what I love about Sakura!" he thinks to himself, in Sasuke form, after Sakura complains about Naruto getting in the way of her love life, and how she just wants to be acklowledged.

That says a lot

And he never gives up on her. No matter how far she strays from him, no matter how much she cares about Sasuke, he doesn't just think: Ah well, Sakura's not gonna be with me, I'll leave her on her own.

No, he protects her. When you have someone truly precious to you, you will do anything to protect them. Haku said so himself, and that became a big part of the series.

"I will protect Sakura-chan with my life!" Quote Naruto Uzumaki, from the fight with Gaara after the second stage of the chuunin exams.

Throughout the entire fight, Naruto is thinking about Sakura's safety and well-being. This shows how much he cares and loves her.

In the timeskip, his care for her is even more obvious.

The two learn to work as a team, together, even without Sasuke. They know each other like the back of their own hands, and have learned to trust the other with their lives.

"N-Naruto! Stop! I'll be the one to bring Sasuke-kun back!" When Naruto goes kyuubi, Sakura yells this at him, running into the path of fire and then getting wounded by the menacing monster. She later lies, saying it was Orochimaru, because she does not want to hurt the one person who cares about her the most.

Is this pairing canon?

No. It's merely more canon than NaruHina.

Hinata admired Naruto from afar. She did not do it because she was thinking of his needs - it was a selfish desire to relate with him due to the underdog aspect. She watched him. She did not help him.

Until the chuunin exams, he didn't even barely know her name. All he knew about her was that she was some strange shy girl, and he thought she was weird. He ended up noticing her, and wanting to see her succeed, because he understood, and was a failure as well.

It would seem strange, and highly unlikely, to see complete opposites, Hinata and Naruto, end up together when it seems that Naruto holds much stronger feelings for Sakura, and Hinata has had hardly any impact on Naruto's life.

Even if Hinata DOES love Naruto, he's not just going to give up on Sakura.
