Story/Plot
Back when Dark and Krad were real men, not mere shadows, they lived in feudal Japan and were brothers. Their parents, soon after their births, were taken by the war. A raid on their town brought swords, death and loss and all that was left were a the few survivors who had managed to hide in their hidden cellars. Homes were gone, lives were destroyed. Nothing they had known was left in their lives. They had no one to turn to but to their Grandfather. He was a samurai teacher but also a thief. It was here where the brothers learned their skills and were taught in the ways of stealth and thievery.
During this time of peace and serenity, the Emperor was killed with but one heir to take the throne. His strong willed daughter to whom he left everything. The land, the people and the responsibility of it all. People began to revolt, questioning the capabilities of a woman and soon a war had begun. The new ruler’s fist and strength would be tested immediately. She had to win over her attackers for the fate of her country or else it would fall.
With the murder of the Emperor and the war spreading like wildfire, the pleasant life of being taught and tested by their grandfather soon came to an end. When the boys were forced into the army where they would soon find themselves to be worlds apart. The once great friends grew apart and into those different worlds. Dark as a beloved field general, his true age never revealed to the higher up’s, kind yet untouchable in the sense that no one was close to him. Krad took a position as a shifty advisor to his highness, the Empress, and became corrupt by the enemy.
_____________________________________________________________
It has now been two years since the war began and neither side seems to be any closer than they had been at the commencement of it all. Except for the small fact that the rebels have taken the palace and forced the Empress into hiding. Krad still remains the shifty advisor to the her and he and Dark have yet to speak for the firs time in two years. They don't know each other anymore, at best they’re strangers.
Currently:
Dark is headed back to the kingdom with a small battalion of his men to report to the Empress on their small victory. He has yet to find out that her palace has been taken and that she is no where to be found.

Setting
The story takes place in feudal Japan.
Currently Dark is headed towards a village, on his way to the palace, where he must stop so his men who've been walking for days on end may rest. There is but one place where he can do this and it's a converted schoolhouse. It's large, roomy, and now under new management.

Premades and Basic Characters I am currently playing three of these characters but the only permanent one is Earaine. If you wish to play Dark or Krad, pm me.Username: ~B~Discrete~ Name: Dark Mousey Age: 18 Gender: Male. Position: General. Personality: He’s cocky, sarcastic, flirtatious, kind, cold when need be, and difficult to get close to under normal circumstances. He’s very proper, in the sense that when he’s around his men he’s commanding and expects respect. Bio: He was born into a normal family in a small village along with his brother Krad. They lived there for many years until the war, that was supposedly far off and under control, was brought to their small and secluded village. It was burned to the ground and his family was killed. All that was left was him and his brother and the small hope that their grandfather would take them in. Appearance:

Other:He’s a master thief despite his honorable employment.
Username: {Temporarily...} ~B~Discrete~ Name: Krad Mousey Age: 18 Gender: Male. Position: Advisor to the Empress. Personality: He’s cunning, devious, and arrogant. He’s cold, and not just to those who offend him. He’s sadistic and easily bought. His services aren’t that hard to acquire with the right amount as an offer. Bio:He was born into a normal family in a small village along with his brother Dark. They lived there for many years until the war, that was supposedly far off and under control, was brought to their small and secluded village. It was burned to the ground and his family was killed. All that was left was him and his brother and the small hope that their grandfather would take them in. Appearance:

Other:He’s currently feeding information to the rebels. His other plan, now destroyed unless he finds the Empress, was to marry her and therefore become Emperor.
Username: ~B~Discrete~ Name: Earaine (Aine) Niwa Age: 17 Gender: Female. Position: Empress. Personality: She’s a sweet Empress with a strong resolve. She believes in reason rather than war and prefers not to resort to fighting. She puts her people before herself and is therefore very driven to acquire what they wish and what is best for them. She’s polite and respectful of everyone, even those who find it hard to even give her an ounce of the proper treatement she deserves. Bio: She was the rincess but never the intended heir. Her younger brother, who had also been murdered was intended to take the throne. So you can imagine her surprise when she became Empress, over night. She was unsteady in the beginning and her being a woman upset more than a few people and before she knew it, the times of peace that her father had brought to their land were destroyed, she had a full out war on her hands. At first it seemed to be a small rebellion but their numbers grew and she eventually had to flee as their forces over ran her palace.
She now resides in a small town where but one knows her true identity. It’s killing her that she can’t serve her people but nothing at this point can be done. Her generals have taken over, in her place, for the time being. Appearance:

Other:As the Empress, she has to hide her true hair color so as to prevent any unnecessary discomfort. Her true hair color is blonde, uncommon for their people.
Username: The heart of reality Name: Satoshi Hikari Age: 18 Gender: Male. Position: A fellow General, not as loved as the great Dark. Personality: He’s a proper upstanding, guy who rather respects his Empress. It upsets him that people don’t respect her as they ought to and finds this aggravating. He likes the Empress more than he should and yet finds it in himself to try and keep these feelings at bay. He’s kind and polite but can be a little…short with those who disrespect his Empress. Bio: His family has always been into creating pieces of art and he did as well. Up until the day when they went to far and started giving them life. HE didn’t see it fit to seal a life into a piece of art so set off in search of a job that could help him ease the guilt of having made so many suffer. He became a general to help his people and to serve the Emporer's family as loyally as possible. Appearance:

Other:He is the only person who knows where the Empress is but has sworn to secrecy and only checks up on her but once a month.

Accepted Profiles. Username: Name: Age: Gender: Position: (Eg: Officer, towns person, ...) Personality: Bio: Appearance: Other: Username: ~B~Discrete~ Name: Momo (Last name unknown.) Age: 7. Gender: Female. Position: Towns person. Personality: She’s happy, eager, easily excited, devilishly curious, hilariously blunt{That’s trying to be taken care of.), and sweet. Bio: When she was but three years old, Momo’s parents were taken by the rebellion. It was just a normal day for her small family of traveling merchants, up until the point where rebel ‘soldiers’ surrounded them as they neared their camp. The ‘soldiers’ had mistaken the couple for spies, so killed them on the spot. Unfortunately, after riffling through the families things, they discovered their folly then soon after the severity of the situation. They were rebels who were (Supposedly) fighting for the people, for their fellow people, had just killed their people. After this realization struck them, they covered up the entire thing. It would have destroyed most men’s resolve to fight so in thinking that it would be best for the kingdom, the ‘soldiers’ drenched the merchants’ caravan in a flammable substance and set it aflame. Momo, who had been hiding at her parents’ last command, was still inside said cart and was, by complete chance, that the land lady from the village happened by and saved her.
A few years went by and Momo came to regard the land lady as a teacher-like figure, always following her around in hopes of learning new things. This went on for a while, up until the Empress came and stationed herself at the hotel/inn. Momo had been so curious about the origins of the lady for two main reasons; one, because she had blonde hair and no one had blonde hair, and two, because she never spoke about herself at all. She was too mysterious for Momo’s taste, so one day she decided to follow her. On thislittle outing, Aine had snuck away to the springs in the forest and Momo had been so captured by its breath taking beauty that she had forgotten to stay hidden. Appearance:
Other:Ever sine Momo had met the Empress in the springs, she’s refused to leave her alone and follows Aine around like a little chick. One might almost think like a mother’s child.
Username: `~Neko-Yasha~` Name: Ame, Ankoku (translates into "Rain, Darkness") Age: 17 Gender: Female Position: Street performer by day, common thief by night. Personality: Hyper and fun-loving. Bio: Ankoku is a street performer in the village Earane resides. She will marvel at the beautiful palace almost dayly. Ankoku is facinated by art. Since she never has enough money to buy the art she likes (she doesn't have a place she would put it anyway) she stares at it through windows and doorways, generally angering the store-owners. Ankoku is skilled in martial arts, which has come in handy, during the dangerous nights. You see, Ankoku is known to be truely beautiful, almost as much as the empress, so some men who were out drinking sometimes try to take her off the streets. But no matter how beautiful or delicate people say she is, Ankoku is dangerous beyond all reason, and known to be the deadliest character in the village. Of course, Ankoku has a soft side. She enjoys picking wildflowers and saving them in a book. Ankoku also loves to just sit back and stare at the palace Earane lives in, wishing that she could live there too. The last thing she enjoys, is stalking people. Ankoku has a strange habit of following people around, when she isn't performing, and she ends up REALLY ticking off Dark at night, after she performs one of her store robberies and takes half the money. Appearance:
Other: Ankoku is generally a nice person, except for when someone tries to steal her money, that's when she breaks out the martial arts and tries to either scare the crap out of whoever, or kill them... it depends on how old they are, and how much they're trying to steal.
Username: Kenaserenity Name: Kiya Harakushima Age: 7 (Appears 16) Gender: Female Position: Art Masterpeice (Symphony of Baast) Personality: Kiya has a very shy nature, and trouble talking with people. But if she can work up the courage, Kiya can have a very intelligent conversation- but only if she gets the nerve to speak. Has a bad habit of beating up men. Her personality flips, like the two sides of a coin. Bio: Painted by an artist of the Hikari clan, Kiya was given life by her creator. While Kiya was with him, she learned at an advanced rate, attaining knowledge of high standards, even though she is only seven by human years. But, being a bookworm and living alone with her master, she never fully developed her social skills. But her artist had another passion than art- fighting. Bonding together, they became close as he trained Kiya in the way of martial arts. But one day, the village where they lived was attacked by invading rebels. Released from her canvas, her master instructed her to run away and find other works, or other Hikari's. It has been one year since they were separated, and Kiya has managed to get by. Every day, she looks for her master, but she fears that the raid was the death of him. Appearance:
Other: Kiya has not conquered her fear of speaking to people by much, but she has built up an intolerance for men who think that women can't do anything for themselves or think that they're weak. (Even if Kiya isn't really human at all.) Also, she loves to sing. In the past, she would cheer her master up by doing this. (Invision her singing Utada Hikaru's song "Beautiful World")

Updates/Black and White List.
1.)We're Open! 2.)Dark and Krad will also be playd by me until further notice. Should the rp get so far along, then I will play them indefinitely. 3.)More guys would be better than more girls but I shall not refuse a profile simply because of this. I ask that you consider playing a male character when applying though.

Aine stood from the garden, completely covered in mud but satisfied with her work. She had never been permitted such freedoms in the castle and she was enjoying her new freedoms. This happiness quickly turned into anger, at herself. How could she feel so at peace, so happy when her country was at war with itself. She sighed, and ran her fingers through her long golden hair, wondering when she could return. “This isn’t right.” She muttered to herself, her face half covered by shadows.
“What’s not right Ms. Aine?” Came a little voice belonging to one of the village orphans. She was the sweetest little thing and always carried around a little stuffed geisha doll named Tumtum.
Aine looked down at he girl with a smile and knelt down so that they could speak eye to eye. “Well Momo, it’s unfair that I started planting my flowers without you.” She said looking a little upset with herself.
“That’s okay.” Said Momo, smiling as always. Her arms were outstretched and she gave Aine a big hug. “Can we do it later though Ms. Aine, I’m hungry.” Her face was so cute when she asked for things. She would bite her lip and her eyes would grow to an unbelievable size. One couldn’t help but scoop her up into your arms.
“Sure Momo. What would you like?”Aine said, scooping her up and resting her in her hip as they walked towards their home. Aine had taken in all the children who’s parents were lost to the war. There were about four or five left now’ one as old as she, one older, two a bot four years younger and Momo, the youngest at seven. It was never a problem having this many children, the house was enormous.
“Can we have soup again?” Momo asked, that cute look again finding it’s way onto her features.
Aine pursed her lips I thought and considered this before answering. “Go and see if that what everyone else would like then come and tell me okay?” She proposed and set Momo down who immediately agreed. Aine stood back up and look out over the edges of the small forest village. " It isn’t right at all.”

Dark after the long walk, looked back upon his men, tired from the four days walk...he let out a sigh, and walked into the school house, and talked to the management for a while.
Dark" Hello Beautiful*This startled the women, who was turned away eating a small bowl of rice*
Women" Yes s-sir? *she had a grain of rice siting on the corner of her mouth*
Dark" I need housing for me and my men, and was wondering how much the cost would be *at this he looked into her eyes* you got a little something there..let me help *and he kissed her*
Women" *slap!* Don't ever do that!...and it is 100Yen a night((being feudal prices aren't that high))
Dark" *pulls out a large bag of coins, and sets it on the counter while holding his cheek* oww...k..ill go get the rest.*walks out door* Tonight, Men we rest but tomorrow it's on to the palace!

Aine walked into the old schoolhouse qwhen Momo took off running in front of her. She hadn’t expected Momo to run but she should have known better than to not. “Momo.” She cried after her, running up the steps. It didn’t take much to catch up to a seven year old; it only took energy, energy which she was currently lacking. Momo spun up and down through halls, to evasive for Aine to ever hope to follow.
Aine stopped for a moment then smiled as she came up to a few new tenants. She took in their appearance quickly, concluding the only possible answer to be...My soldiers, here? “Good evening. Ms.” She said nodding to the soldiers then to the lady at the desk , who oddly looked a tad disheveled. “Ms. Aine.” Came Momo’s voice from down below. She was tugging at Aine’s kimono and trying to get her to come, apparently having noticed that she wasn’t following anymore. “Excuse me, Momo’s manners seem to have left her.” Momo blushed and looked down fidgetting with Tum tum and still holding onto Aine's kimono. “Enjoy your stay.” Aine said with a quick little grin. “Alright, I'm coming.” She said to Momo and they started down the hall again, slower this time.

Ankoku sat on a corner, after performing for an hour straight. She was completely worn out and wanted to sleep. Unfortunately, it was getting dark, and a girl like her can't sleep at night. There are still stores to rob and people to watch. Ankoku dozed off on the street corner until night fell, then she raided her favorite department store, and stole 30¥ from a wooden drawr behind the counter, in the front. She hid behind the counter for until some people passed by, then exited through the back door and sat atop the roof. Ankoku sighed as she held the money in her hand. "It's enough for now..." She told herself, and stared at the bright moon in the sky.

Aine had purposefully woken up early in hopes of hearing where her general was heading. The most probably course, considering how remote his troops had been stationed, would be her palace. In which case she couldn’t inform them due to the fact that it wasn’t common knowledge and therefore for a girl such as herself, it would be highly suspicious that she know this.
“Mmm.” Momo sighed as she sat up, rubbing her eyes of sleep and the sand mans crystals. “Ms. Aine?” She asked curiously as Aine’s form passed the open door of Momo’s room. The girl looked tired as she stood up, wavering, and headed towards her door. She looked up at Aine curiously with tired eyes and cocked her head. “What are you doing up so early?”
Aine looked down at the girl she could never seem to escape and smiled. “I was going to see the roses sparkle in the moonlight with their dew ridden petals.” Their nightly escapades had begun a week after she had first arrived. Aine was intending to see Satoshi for yet another of their weekly status reports during the night when Momo awoke and demanded ot know where she was going. The little orphan was impossible to refuse and Ane couldn’t help but take her with her, to a different destination of course. They visited the gardens and watched the sun push through clouds and open up the day’s sky. They do it again every so often so why Aine hadn’t assumed that Momo wouldn’t wake up was beyond her. “Would you like to come?”
Momo’s eyes flickered open. She was fully awake now and ready for a nightly walk. “Oh yes please!" She answered giddily as she tugged at her kimono. “I’ll get my clothes!” She said then disappeared into the darkness of her room.
After the girl had changed, the two snuck out of doors and began towards the forest a little ways behind their home and the city, heading for their lovely garden oasis. Honestly though, it was an oasis. It came complete with it’s own natural spring. One of nature’s Devine beauty’s.

Ankoku watched the sun poke through the night clouds and yawned widely. She rested atop a building and quickly fell asleep. Clutching the 30¥ in her hands, she curled into a ball to keep herself warm, for until the sun came out. Then, when evening were to come, Ankoku would awaken and perform, then go out and steal the money she needed for food and shelter. She cried in her sleep as she dreamt of a night in the palace.
Slowly, Ankoku opened her eyes at around noon. She had awoken from her dream and wiped her cold, wet eyes. That day was rather cloudy, and chilly, and Ankoku didn't have much to keep herself protected. She had bought a new set of clothes with the 60¥ she had stolen the day before, but had forgotten to buy a jacket, or a blanket for that matter. So, she stood up and sat on the corner of the two busiest streets in the village, holding a small tin cup in her hand, and hoping that someone would drop a coin or two in it.

Aine and Momo had spent a few hours in their hideout before deciding to leave. “Alright, time to go. It’ll be here tomorrow.” Aine promised as she held out a hand for Momo to accept. They had to leave anyways for as the sun neared the early hours of the afternoon, their little place would bfore a nest for creatures of all kinds. Some weren’t as nice as others and she really didn’t want to wait and see what would happen upon this place today. “Come now.” She said one more time to a pouty Momo.
“Okay.” The girl answered and clasped Aine’s hand as the ascended the slight hill. Momo looked down at the ground, a little upset that they had to leave although she knew exactly why. Once they had stayed until about 2:30 and a bear had come. Momo could never remember a time when she had held her breathe longer. “Hmmm?” She said as she looked up at Aine who had said something during her reminiscing
“I need to go to the market to pick up lunch, and if you come you can choose what we’ll have for supper.” Aine said, smiling down at the girl. Her smile and words always had a way of bringing smiles to others.
“Okay.” Momo said, her smile growing in size as they neared the edge of the forest again. “TO town we go!” She announced to the heaven’s.
Aine stopped off at the building to pick up some money and a basket before they left for town.
In town:
There were shops open at the side of the roads, blocking out every open space they could. Canvases were being hung from every highpoint in hopes of protecting their products from the somewhat threateneing sky. Aine approached a elderly looking woman and paid her for some produce, the smile ever apparent as she and Momo waved adieu. “Thank you very much.” “My pleasure.”
“Now Momo, what else would you like?” Aine asked, looking down at Momo.
“I would like some leeks.” Momo said, knowing full well that they weren’t the most liked thing amongst her family. “And....” Momo was about to finish but couldn’t as she came face to face with a beggarwoman. Pity consumed her and she immediately stepped up to the woman with a sweet grin. “I would like to give her something.” Mom said, looking pleadingly up at Aine now.
Aine had to admit that she was slightly surprised but didn’t miss a beat. “Of course.” She said, smiling down to the young looking lady. “Here you are.” She said and dropped more coins in the tin cup than she probably should have. “I hope it’s enough.” She said, also feeling sorry of the girl. She had never known what it was like to be poor, even now when she was trying to impersonate a less fortunate being. Money was still no object. "Good day."
“You should try the dessert table back there. They’ve got lots and lots of yummy treats today.” Momo suggested in a light whisper then waved good bye. “Bye-bye, Ms.”
