Velg'larn stood under a large tree in D'ob and grazed, the sun was rather blinding this afternoon. He ignored it staring blankly forward. He began to eat once more. He flicked his ears, he had been in Casa Tiner a few hours before and was still partially mentally drained, he had come to D'ob to relax and regain himself. Content and full once again he turned from the valley and began to walk to the heart of the Nequus world uncaring as to why. One foot in front of the other as he walked slowly uncaring as to were he would go. He just walked. For some unknown reason he was headed toward the Fruitland’s, perhaps to see his four children's tree of he and his hated brothers?
His long blood tipped mane flew behind him as though it was a bloody banner with the bloody ribbons of his tail. His butterfly wings were at his side lazily.
He passed the trees with their golden leaves upon the trees, two trees intertwined to create one parent tree. He had gone through that, had to become a female's slave while all her energy was drained nearly entirely as she looked horrible. And then the fruits would appear in the high branches of the adult tree. Velg'larn didn't want to go through that again, it was far too much of a pain and he was unable to venture into Casa Tiner.
Velg’larn passed his four children’s tree, joined his soul and the wild golden Storm’s. A slight smile played upon his face although it was short-lived as he passed it and continued past it after his pause for only a moment. All of them had left this place long ago to venture out some where into the world, the only children he did see on occasion was Lilith and Kali.
That would change quite soon… Velg'larn stopped suddenly still staring blankly. He didn't see anything overly interesting in front of him then looked down and saw two small patches of dirt something trying to breach the sky. Was it what he thought it was? It would explain why he was suddenly drawn this way. Who was the mother? he wondered. Velg’larn figured she would be here sometime soon within the next few days.

And arrive she did.
Red-tipped white hairs caught in the dense undergrowth and on tree bark as the pale Ichsa passed through the fruitlands. Something had drawn her here, like a hand tugging at her heartstrings, and obediently she had followed it. She had no idea where it was leading her or why - but wasn't that par for the course? Life was full of these uncertainties, and in Colleen's book the best thing you could do was to have a little faith in your instincts. After all, when you're the one keeping the world the right way up you can't spend every other moment being weighed down by anxieties.
She hadn't had that bite to eat. It showed. Oh, she'd eaten eventually, once the world had begun to blur and swim before her eyes. Funny how it did that when she didn't eat enough. She pitied the rest of the world, having to put up with the lapses in clarity.
...Someone else was here. She could smell him on the air, wet leaves and wet stallion. It was an oddly familiar scent, masked though it was by the leafmould. Had she met him before?
Yes, she decided, stepping into the clearing and taking in the sight of him, she probably had. She wouldn't know his eyes if she hadn't.
"...Hello," she ventured softly. "Sorry I took so long - and I'm afraid I've forgotten your name, if you ever gave it. Am I where the world wants me to be?"
Hopefully he would understand.

Waiting Velg'larn looked over his shoulder to see a rather thin ischa finally approach, it must be her. He recalled meeting her once a long time ago. How strange things were. Velg'larn had only just met her once and now this female was the mother to more of his daughters. He sighed how many children were on their way now?
Judging by her appearance it seemed as though she had not eaten for the longest time. Thin and her ribs were showing. Velg'larn figured she wouldn't survive the drain he had seen Storm go through. Velg'larn had seen her at her worst and it had nearly killed her. This one wouldn't survive unless she ate something and the fruits would die. Oddly he couldn't care enough for any other soul but he actrually had feeling somewhat for his kin his children. His four grown daughters. Lilith was the one who stayed with him the most. It was strange having her around. Being alone always then suddenly... he wasn't.
"You should eat something," he said plainly when she was in hearing range if she starved herself. Well that wouldn't e pleasant to the young fruits that were to come.
Velg'larn nodded she was the same. But he too had forgotten her; He hadn't cared enough to remember her name. He flicked his long crimson tipped tail. He shrugged "I don't remember your name either." he said truthfully.
"I'm Velg'larn,” he told her his name for the second time. But it didn't matter. He didn't care. Just as long as they got this over with he would be fine. It took months but he wanted it finished. "You see that?" he motioned to the two tree's growing from the ground. Velg'larn wasn't sure if she knew what that was or not. If she didn't he would have to explain.

Velg'larn. She knew the name. She also knew his voice - deep, soothing, emotionless and yet strangely hypnotic. Fragmented memories of him flashed through her mind. Perhaps she would remember more while she was with him, and come to recall where she had lost Katie. This would be a difficult adventure indeed without the Rit's guidance: to own the truth, she wasn't even sure why she was here.
"Colleen," she offered belatedly, examining the twin saplings he indicated with a critical eye. "And I shall eat something, I promise. I've just been in such a rush to get here, you know, not knowing what this is all about - I had no idea how vital my haste might be. ...The trees are important, aren't they?" It was a stab in the dark, but since he'd mentioned them it at least made some degree of sense. "I'm sorry, I haven't the faintest clue what's happening."
Of all the stallions who might have been chosen to guide her through this, she decided, she could have done a lot worse than Velg'larn. He was handsome, in a dark, exotic manner, and at least he didn't seem violent or condescending. Perhaps she could persuade him to react to her a little more, be more...how was it Katie had put it? Open? It had always sounded painful to her, being open to the world, but nonetheless she would feel more comfortable around a stallion whose eyes were not so blank, so unreadable. Behind the veil, he could be anyone.

Colleen, that name sounded through his memory. Distantly he recalled meeting her. He couldn't remember where but he remembered meeting her. She was looking for something... Something? Which he didn't care for Velg'larn, had forgotten it. He could hardly be bothered to remember anything he cared so little about. She herself seemed not to understand why she was here. And now it was up to Velg'larn to educate her and free the Ischa from her ignorance.
"Do you at least know where you are?" He asked of here, knowing that it would help her understand a slightly more. Velg'larn noted her examination of the saplings. Perhaps he should thank her for hurrying. "I thank you for your haste" he said flatly looking back at the saplings.
Velg'larn nodded understanding her haste, but it was still no excuse to malnourish yourself. "Those two trees will soon begin to intertwine and grow large. Spreading their branches out and growing golden leaves." He paused to allow her to catch up "Among the leaves will be fruits, I know not how many but they will be there." Velg'larn's voice was rather monotonic as usual. "You will be drained of strength exponentially," He looked at her "Depending on how many fruits will grow depends on the significance of that drain." He paused again for her to catch up. Colleen could be bright... if she tried.
"Do you understand?" Velg’larn asked "I will stay and provide for you when you are in that weak state." That was his role in this, to protect her, the tree and prevent her from dying. He truly disliked being the servant of a mare. No doubt as all he meant she would want him to be more... filled with emotion or at least show more. They were all the same. Whether or not he complied he would decide that latter.
Colleen wasn't the worst mare to get stuck with, there were always others. She was at least a good-looking Ischa mare. Not the brightest either. Velg'larn had met some far worse than she for intelligence as well. Velg'larn flicked his long crimson tipped silver tail. This was going to be troublesome. Would it be worth it?
************
The tree begins to intertwine in about a few days time and from that time begins to grow together and tall. Many months pass and the tree grows from a sapling into a tall and strong fruit tree. Golden leaves fan out as it continues to become taller. Two fruits are now seen beginning to grow among the protecting branches. As more days pass and those days turn into weeks the two fruits begin to ripen and their colors become apparent. Just before the fruits ripen completely and fall from the tree and open will be the most critical time for the mare. Looking the worst she will ever look during this period.
