I'm on the hunt for lucky egg, an item held by wild Chanseys! ...But if it's gunna take too long I'm just gunna bug my friend for his...
What I'm asking is, how rare is the egg? Will it take me less than 10 Chanseys? More than 10? 20?

I know sometimes it hold oval stone, which can evolve it's baby form in to Chansey. Whoever holds the egg gains double the experience in battle.

I know sometimes it hold oval stone, which can evolve it's baby form in to Chansey. Whoever holds the egg gains double the experience in battle. WOW sudden urge to get one!!!

Just like a minute ago i saw a shiney palkia holding one on gts. The pokemon the person wanted was bulbasaur lv 80.

I have like 5 chanseys all caught from the Trophy Garden, all of them had Oval Stone... crying

According to a guide on gamefaqs, it is double exp in diamond and pearl, but is still 1.5 in Emerald as you said. EDIT: NVM, they lie! It's 1.5 xD

Got one! I got a butterfree with the ability compound eyes (Raises chance of wild pokemon holding an item), let it hold smoke ball cuz it was level 13... got a gengar, taught it thief, ran around in the really tall grass with butterfree as first pokemon. Whenever I saw a chansey I sent out gengar, killed it with theif, and continued. After starting the hunt it took me about an hour until I found the egg, so I don't see it taking longer than 2 if you really want to get one.

Compound Eyes raises the Accuracy of moves by 30%, it doesn't mention anything about increasing the chance of a wild pokemon holding something.
