This is my friend and fellow-adventurer Roly-Poly Rabbit. We had our portrait taken so that visitors to the stables and the pastures wouldn't be startled by Roly-Poly's size. He is sitting in a person-size chair. He often lets me ride on his back on our travels. Once he gets moving, it is definitely a roly-poly ride. If you can imagine riding an elephant with long floppy ears who moves by hopping, you will get the idea!
Roly-Poly loves his stall with the fresh, sweet-smelling hay; and he is looking forward to meeting his neighbor in stall #1. Perhaps they can meet in the pasture for a companionable session of grass nibbling!

We do move very quickly, but I hold on to the ribbon around his neck and feel very safe.
Roly Poly loves children, and children love him. He's about the size of a small beanbag chair, and his small person-friends love snuggling with him. He has a special song that Miradora sang with her kindergarten students when he would come to visit. It helped the children with vocabulary and analogies, but they just loved it because it was fun to sing to Roly Poly. Any visitors to Roly Poly's stall are welcome to add verses to his song.
Roly Poly Rabbit, You've got a mighty habit Of jumping in my _______ And eating all my ________!
Here's how a couple of verses might look...
Roly Poly Rabbit, You've got a mighty habit Of jumping in my garden And eating all my carrots!
Roly Poly Rabbit, You've got a mighty habit Of jumping on my table And eating all my muffins!

*Pats Roly-Poly's huge, soft head*
He is a fine steed, Lady Gladys! I will make certain there is a store of carrots and cabbages for him to enjoy with his hay.

*scratches his ear and sits down on Roly Poly's knee with a basket of carrots.* Good news, Roly Poly! Adam has applied to join the League. That means there will be someone else your size around here! I noticed some fresh dandelions in the pasture. Would you like to go out? You can nibble, and I can pick some for the kitchen to use for tea.*climbs on Roly Poly's shoulder for a ride around the pasture looking for the best dandelion patch.*

My what a marvelous rabbit! And such an impressive size.*pats pockets for a treat to give Roly Poly* You know I've only ever seen one bigger than you in all my travels but he was a bear who had a terrible spell cast on him... *finds a bag full of carrot sticks and passes a handful across* ...he was gigantic and caused a lot of trouble before we found him a nice cave in the mountains and some friends to share it with. Now he can crash about to his hearts content. You don't look like a trouble maker, such a soft thing as you.*tickles Roly Poly behind the ear*

Hi, Roly-Poly! Look what they saved for you in the kitchen! *lifts up a huge basket of carrot tops, spinach stems and pea pods*
Aren't you glad we made it back to the League after our adventures? It is so peaceful here. Did you thank Roobarb for visiting you and bringing you treats while I was helping Miradora pack for the move? Good! I'll see if I can get some snowshoes then we can explore the grounds as a snowshoe hare and a snowshoe bear! *rubs noses with Roly-Poly and heads off to the dining hall to return the now-empty basket*

Hi Roly-Poly! How do you like having kittens in the stables? *Roly-Poly rolls over to reveal several sleeping kittens curled up in the straw* I'm glad they found your stall. Poor Bigmouth was worried he would step on them if they stayed in his. I'll head over to the kitchen and see if they can spare some greens for you and milk for your friends. See you later.
