ATTENTION!!! Make sure you WON'T DIE from eating it first! Most rotten fruits can be turned into compost and good mulches for your garden!

What to do with... SOUR/BITTER FRUIT
So that crate of grapefruits from Cosco turned out to be... Well, sour grapes. They're perfectly edible aside from the fact they make your face look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
So what to do?
Turn it into soda. Fruit soda (I mean, the natural kind this shows you how to make) is a very refreshing drink with VITAMINS! ...And sugar, but that depends on you.
It's real simple. Do you have a fruit-appropriate juicer? Then use that. Note: Orange squeezers can be used for CITRUS fruits. DO NOT put pineapples etc. into it. TRUST ME.
Then pour it into a big pitcher. Pour club soda in. Proportions vary; I tend mine towards 2/3 club soda to 1/3 fruit juice. Then add sugar- now not TOO much. As a rule of thumb, add less than what you would think and stir before tasting.
There are lots of things you can put in for a more party-like air. Mint leaves for one thing. And those cute little paper umbrellas if you're hosting guests.
Use it in your cooking.
Please note that unless you're that creative, there are certain fruits that should never touch the oven with certain foods. I mean, yeah! Let's put blueberries in with the soy chicken! No, let's not, unless if you really want to.
Well, this doesn't use up that much fruit really. But occasionally, just to slice up that stray sour orange, you can use it in cooking. Make a glaze and put thing orange/lemon/etc. slices on top. Add a splash of whatever to the marinate. Be creative and don't poison anyone.

Frozen Fruit
Yes, frozen fruit's great stuff. It's economic and found all year long. But there are times when you just have too much of it, so much that it freezes into those big icy blocks.
Getting it out of the ice If you find it's been frozen into huge blocks of whatnot... -If you want to use the ENTIRE thing, just leave it in a bowl to defrost. Preferably cut it out of the bag first. -If you only want to use a LITTLE bit, then break it off in any way you can. Or leave it to defrost in the REGULAR fridge a bit and wiggle as much as you need off.
Make Sherbet. Basically, just put everything in the blender, add a TINY bit of soy milk or whatever, and a bit more of sugar. Then put it in containers and freeze. Don't count on scooping it out to serve- it's recommended to chill in individual cups. Please, taste it before freezing! You can garnish it in the end or whatever.
Making sauce When you're making sauce, syrup, or jam out of frozen fruit, keep in mind that there's ice frozen on it. And adjust your liquid ingredients accordingly. Another thing nice to do is microwave the fruit before adding it to the pan.
