Drum equipment: $1500
Band Chairs: $900
Seeing all the boys in band do the Can-Can:
Priceless.
The orchestra is playing the Can-Can song at our concert next Wednesday, and only boys in the band volunteered. Also, one of the trumpet players is "playing" the typewriter during The Typewriter piece. Have any of you had to do skits at concerts?
....or is that just us?

We've never had a skit done at one of our concerts. htough one time, we had this kid who was a really funky dancer...

Nah, the flutes and clarinets always do the can-can during one of the drum line's "performances" in the stands. Try doing that dance on a set of bleachers! It's even more entertaining when we fall! blaugh
And there was a sort of skit during one song. I can't remember the name of it, but I will eventually. It was really cool! It was a Halloween based theme and people dressed like demons and scared the croud witless.

It's loads of fun! Especially when you take into account the fact that we're allowed to wear "wacky" hats in the stands...people tend to take that a little too literally... sweatdrop

At out last Christmas concert we were playing You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch. And we had one of our trumpet players dress up as him (green face paint and all) then go around in the audience stealing "planted" toys from under the chairs and such. It was great. People laughed so much.
