So.

I want to get Jag rubber shoes.
1. So I can put them on all four hooves and still keep him out in pasture w/ other horses w/o the worry of him kicking one and slicing them up.
2. Better on his joints (absorbs shock from riding on roads)
3. So I can ride on roads w/o hurting his lil' feetsies.

But - They're expensive (of course).
$20 a pair, so $40 for all four hooves.
Plus the ferrier bill.

So now, I'm having this inner battle on whether I should buy them or not. I would have bought them back before my riding buddy fell off her mare and broke her wrist, and we would have started going out on the roads again. But, now that she's out of commission, I don't know if I'll ride on the roads that much (I don't like riding alone if I don't have too).

I'm getting metal shoes on the front hooves if I don't get these rubber ones, but I really would like him have them.
