Hmm... This is thought that's been silently gnawing away in my head ever since it became plain that I was losing in a battle where my wind monster was fighting against an electrical monster:
Do you have any formular as to how elemental weakness/strength effects the fight(?), or is it simply up to the Refs to remember the differences and place judgement as to how much extra damage is dealt?
(I'm just a bit miffed that my wind monster manages to lose against a monster with an elemental disadvantage towards wind. Yes, I'm a sore loser. Hear me whine. rolleyes )
(I probably should have attacked more than I did, considering that the rolls were never in my favour.)
(*Is still miffed. Needs chocolate. Will go buy some.*)

You're being off-topic here, Abby. And I'm not in the mood to fight. *Sulks*

Yay, thanks! biggrin
You wouldn't have to start creating large, complicated formulars, just saying "if the pet has an elemental disadvantage: add 5 - 10 % damage" or something like that is enough. (There's no need to confuse the refs, after all.)

Elemental advantages/disadvantages really depend on the ref and how it all goes down. For me, weather and the master's strategies are key when I'm reffing. Advantages/disadvantages are smaller and they cannot become the key to winning or losing, but they can help.

But if the elemental part of it isn't "the key to winning or losing", why is there a chart that shows which element is weak/strong towards which?
- And you're probably going to disagree again, so I hope that you won't get offended if I find myself another ref in the future. >_>

I have an idea!!
In your Campground, you should have a place that is literally storage.
Like, I want to get into breeding, but only so I can sell the pets. I don't plan on using the offsprings in my troupe. I also want to participate in the monster-giving contests and donations, but I don't want to get rid of one of the monsters in my troupe right now. Maybe, just maybe, there should be a crazy professor with hazy intentions for the extras. smile

Haha well I WAS planning on putting in a storage later when we figure out how to include and keep track of items. But the campground is for all of your pets whether they're in your troupe or not. biggrin Once they're in your campground they're yours to do with unless you put em up for adoption.
Originally, when two pets bred, we were going to have those two pets disappear in replacement for the babies they left behind, but then we decided we didn't really care how many pets a person has at a time so we got rid of that. Basically, a person could have 50 pets, all kept in their campground, but they can only have 4 in their troupe. Gah I'm rambling, sorry biggrin

Ahh, that makes sense. Now I can win pets in the dice games to sell them. >_> Guahaha.
