ok, time to put this subforum to good use and vent about one of the things i hate most. MurSoka fans. though only the ones who actually think theyre in love, if they're sane enough to know that, y'know, they're NOT then i don't mind talking to them.
but seriously, where did these people get the idea that muraki and hisoka are in love? muraki raped, cursed, and ultimately murdered hisoka. sure, some people say "well hisoka loves him for killing him because his life was hell" but if he really hated it enough, he wouldve killed himself and even if he wanted someone else to kill him, this would NOT have been his choice of way to go.
hell, it wouldnt be ANYBODY's first choice way to go. muraki may have removed hisoka's memory of being raped (he returned it later, but that's irrelevant) but the curse was more than painful enough to make up for that and it actually made it worse for hisoka to not remember, because he was also confused as to why he was dying how he was.
also, hatred anyone? hisoka has said it before that he hates muraki, he wants to get revenge on muraki, he wants to find out the true reason WHY he had to die. so he isnt about to go all lovey-dovey with him.
that's the arguement from hisoka's side, now time to vent about it from muraki's. the man... is.... ENGAGED. sure, he acts like he's got a thing for oriya (probably does, but whatever) but the point is, he's committed himself to being in love with another and even if he doesnt love her, the first pairing choice would be oriya (oriya definitely loves muraki, even if muraki doesnt feel as strongly, so a little push could make the pairing work great). and though i loathe MurTsu as much as MurSoka, i admit there's .0000001% more logic, in the fact that muraki is deranged enough to be trying to acquire tsuzuki's body for scientific purposes (some freaks classify that as love, and i say theyre crazy and need to go get their head checked or die) and if that's how idiots classify love, then he doesnt love hisoka because he's too obsessed with tsuzuki.
actually, i think he's too obsessed with trying to revive saki to even feel love anymore. towards anyone. well, at least towards anyone new. if it were oriya or ukyou, people who knew him before saki's death (and therefore knew saki) then it would make more sense. but yeah, he's obsessed with tsuzki's body because he thinks it will help bring saki back and that obsession consumes him to the point where he really cant love, meaning, automatically, hisoka is out of the running to be his lover. oh darn. rolleyes
now that i've argued it from both sides, i just realized i didnt argue the same arguement from hisoka's. the love end of it (just covered the whole murder thing). i'm not saying this because TsuSoka is my OTP, but they're obviously in love (i actually hated the pairing when i first watched it, but even then i saw it. i was just against it for a little while). i mean hello, kyoto arc anyone? jumping into touda's flames? the closest thing to a declaration of love hisoka will ever be capable of giving thanks to the mental/emotional damage he's endured? even as far back as the king of swords arc. he let tsuzuki see him cry, and if that wasnt enough let him hold him while he cried. hisoka actually went to seek comfort from tsuzuki, something he would never do to muraki.
*sighs* this is why i hate MurSoka fans the most, sometimes other pairings that are still crack have more logic. (though... this one girl tried to tell me that TatSoka was practically canon because tatsumi "looks like tsuzuki but is less annoying, so hisoka must be in love with him" XDDD) so, all you MurSoka fans out there (and the people crazy enough to pair oriya with watari. i know youre out there, please notify your psychologist immediately!) please alert the nearest mental hospital or call the suicide hotline after overdosing on sleeping pills. thank you.
