It's hard for me to pick... >>; For solo piano, I'd pick Chopin, but I prefer Rachmaninov's piano concertos more. Not sure if I prefer Brahms or Prokofiev more when it comes to orchestral music... XD Definitely Brahms for chamber music though.

most certainly. i agree with all of your opinions.
chopin's probably the best at piano solos and least experienced of orchestral music
brahms is somewhat all-around
rachmaninov is as well but has a huge advantage since he has a huge hand
prokofiev is magnificent at orchestral music (to me)
and Brahm's piano trios are awesome!!

Chopin for solo Piano works.
Rachmaninoff for Piano Concerti.
Prokofiev for Orchestral Music.
Brahms for some of his Piano music, Hungarian Dances and Symphonies.
Saint-Saens for Cello Concerti.

That's the order of how much I like them, as well. Chopin goes on top! Yay.

I would put Saint-Saens for Violin music (Intro et Rondo Capriccioso)??

Brahms' Symphony No. 2 had me in awe last time I heard it live. It's so beautiful! But Prokofiev is magnificent too...I guess I'll concede to your opinion. XD

I adore the piano trios! And have you heard Brahms' violin sonatas? Absolutely amazing. <3

Rachmaninov because his music is so complex and difficult to play, but once you have it, it's amazing. I love to hear my brother play Rachmaninov, he's a lot better than I am at it. I have tiny hands. sweatdrop

Brahms is my favorite piano composer (Chopin's a bit overdone!)

I'm a bassoon player, so I pay attention to the bass lines - and his are the best!

I'd suggest the waltzes and intermezzos to anyone who wants to try some of his music.
