Ah, dawn. Kahawia loved this time of day. It was so beautiful and serene. Too bad she was deep asleep and missing all of it.
Perched in a tree on one of the lower branches, she slept on a large branch, tail swinging, and a happy smirk plastered to her face. She dreamed of the days way back when she was small with her family, playing with her brother while her mother watched on happily. Suddenly, the sky turned dark and her mother and brother disappeared. She was alone in the dark. She tried to cry out, but no sound emerged from her tiny lips. She tried to tear herself from the dream but with no avail. Her smirk was gone and her tail stopped and curled under.

The seafoam green and black canine had recently left her mother to live on her own. It had only been a short time that they had split yet Lejali felt hollow with out the green and black maned wolf by her side. Shaking her head she tried to focus on what was before her.
A vast land of excitment and adventure just waiting for her to jump in and experience it all. The maned wolf's frown had changed into a happy smile until she noticed that there was rustling going on before her.
Glancing up she spotted the dark colored cheetah and presumed her to be sleeping restlessly. "Hello?" She called.

Hawi yelped and jumped in reply. Her back paws slid off the tree branch and she woke in time to thrust her front claws into the branch.
She clung there and blinked a couple times. Then, remebering the call from below, she glanced down and replied nicely, "Oh! Hello there!" She thought about the easiest way to get down while waiting for the canine to respond.
