Because the movie people don't always go by the books, so that they seem original and different.

Because WB is no good at adapting books into movies?
There are a few things like that in the films - lines given to the wrong characters, subplots completely ignored, subtext created where there was none before...I can keep going if you want.

I have admit, though, there are a few added lines and things that were very nicely done in the movies. Like, in the third movie, where Sirius is speaking to Remus when Remus is transforming into the werewolf. Sirius says something along the lines of:
"You know the man you truly are, Remus. This flesh is only flesh. This heart is where you truly live. This heart! Here!"
... Or something like that. But, I really liked it. ^^

Yeah, I know what you're talking about, and I did quite like that. But that's one good thing against a whole list of bad ones...

I didn't say that that one line made the rest of their mistakes overlookable. But, it's like the directors stumble around for a while, wanking off or something and once every blue moon they come up with this amazing line to add in the script. They just want us to like them, even if it's just a little bit. Manipulative bastards...

Because the people who make the movie are morons and can die.
But I'd like to point out that even if Harry couldn't do Levicorpus till HBP, James did it in OOTP... Oh god... Snape's Worst Memory is going to be in this movie. I am going to cry. Or get really angry. Or both. Probably both. It's will be like the Draco-ferret thing, but worse, and more heartbreaking.

I thought the Draco-ferret thing was brilliant. ^^ And, I'm not looking forward to Snape's Worst Memory either. ><

I thought it was disgusting, the way they handle it. They make what is essentially child abuse into a laughing matter. They won't handle "I will not tell lies" the same way, you can bet.
A young boy is transformed against his will into an animal and slammed off of stone walls at a high speed. I'm sorry, I don't see the humour.

Look, as much as I love Draco - and I do - I find the ferret thing funny. Because you took a person and turned them into an animal and sent them bouncing around the room. It's like pushing - I mean, watching someone fall down the stairs. It's just funny.
I will not tell lies, was sadly less funny... but only slightly.
Yeah, and I'll probably laugh - while horrified though, to be sure - at Snape's worst memory. I dunno... I just find it funny when people get hurt or whatever.
Hmmm... I am not a very good person am I? This entire post I was chuckling to myself.

It's ok Diana. I chuckled, too. We both find this slapstick humour overly enjoyable.

Because it makes them sound old and ancient. Anything said in Latin sounds old and ancient because latin is a very old language.
