Whats wrong with that... sometimes the position of power gets old and its nice to know someone can knock you down a peg...but thats just my thoughts.

Do I believe in bondage?
I believe it exists, definitely, and for some people, it is the way to go.
Just don't take it too fast and make sure you prepare properly.

Things I would suggest: doing a little knot research. Some get tighter the more you tug on them, which can be, well, bad. Thin ropes are also a bad Idea because they can cut into skin, cut off circulation, and can be difficult to un-do/tie. Certain materials are not good for bondage due to elasticity, texture, or ability to hold knots. Japanese rope bondage uses no knots, and has a long history in Japanese culture. Because it has been established longer, the procedures are more precise.
Make sure that you communicate well with whoever you decide to do it with.
If you want to roleplay, I would suggest a safeword or two(some for emergencies and one for simple timeouts). Make sure you have scissors handy.

As for whether or not it is good, I feel that as long as both(or all) participants are consenting adults and fully understand and accept the risks, then it is cool.

I personally don't feel comfortable giving up that much control. Handcuffs are fine, so would being pinned bodily to a surface, but I was tied up spread-eagled to a bed once, and that just wasn't my thing. I like to fight too much to allow my movement to be restricted so.

I think it's a great thing! Though I'm more on the dominant side of things >.> but that's just me.

I'd be careful with some ropes, they get un-twisted/braided or snap or something and can cut into your skin. Or if you get to thin of one they're difficult to untie.. Keep scissors handy, strong ones if you use thicker ropes. Also you need saftey words. 1 for time outs, and 1 for emergencies.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with bondage, in my opinion.

Well, so far we used a blind fold and that was okay. I hope maybe someday we will work our way up.

Hmm...never tried it. Though it does sound kinda hot XD; I hear silk scarves are best. =] You just have to trust your partner not to tie you up, get you turned on and walk away leaving you like that laughing.

You have to be extremely careful how you use metal, though.. since it is so heavy/dense compared to ropes, leathers, and other stuff.. you can break bones. O.o; So just be extra careful with metal, if you go that route.
