Poor thing... She had a low-grade fever yesterday at school, and then after dinner last night, it spiked to 103°F. She got some tylenol, and went to bed. She was a little fussy waking up this morning, and was at just under 102°F. She pretty much fell asleep while eating, and thus went right back to bed. She woke for lunch, and was at appx 102.3°F, and she stayed up for about 45 min before she needed to sleep again. Basically, she's only been awake to eat, like a newborn... I wouldn't call her lethargic, but she's awake for no more than a 45min stretch...
So I called the Dr.'s and left a message for the advice nurse, and she'll be calling me back soon to let me know if I should bring her in, or just not worry. I dunno, though.. my kid doesn't sleep like this... she hasn't slept like this since she was 2 mo.... actually, I think at 2 mo she was up more than she has been today... cry

I think I would take her in.... Just because of the fever. That means there is an infection somewhere and she needs to be on antibiotics.. I feel for them when they are sick... I used to joke around that it was the only time they were good... But I still wished they would get better..

Luck, nekyo!!
I remember when my nephew got strep throat... he was only 1, poor baby. He was miserable beyond all reason. All he wanted was cuddles, and I gladly gave them to him! I lucked out and didn't catch it from him!! lol

She was at 102.8°F at the Dr's sad They think it's roseola or some other viral infection. no meds to treat, other than tylenol/motrin for the fever... if it goes more than 2 more days, she's gotta go back and they're gonna do a CBC and various other tests... crying so not cool.... I hope the fever subsides.... (oh yeah, she had a flat rash develop while we were on the way over to the Dr's, hence the diagnosis..)

TinkerToes is right. You definitely did the right thing. Just a question, has she been throwing up and has she had runny poop? I just remember a few months ago Fox got sick. He had a fever, so that same evening we took him to the emergency room. He had a fever and he had diarreah. (spelling?!) Then the nurse asked if he'd thrown up at all. I was about to say no, he hadn't yet when all of a sudden he let out a waterfall of puke. I kid you not. All over Matthew. It was so sad and I wanted to cry for the poor baby! He was miserable. And when the doctor told me that all I could do was make sure he drank pedialyte or white grape juice and give him tylenol or motrin I felt helpless.
I hope Anja gets well soon! Give her our love.♥

no vomit, but her diapers have been moderately loose... but I think that has more to do with h er not wanting much of anything other than milk over the past day or two. Granted, she's eating a little bit here and there, but mostly fruits and just her favorite veggies. Maybe a bite or two of the actual dinner dish...
She's been roasty-toasty today, even on tylenol... I just gave her some motrin and laid her down. Didn't take the temp, though, but based on what it's been and how hot she felt, I would say right at 103°... Something tells me that on Mon, we're going to be going back to the Dr's for a CBC and some other tests... that's not going to be fun at all.... poor baby crying

Poor little Anja..... I will say a prayer for her.... Have you tried to give her a cool bath... that will help with the fever too.. Makes me want to cry crying when the little ones are sick cause there isn't much that you can do and you want to make them better... But all you can do is let time do it's work...

Grandma's got her for the night/most of tomorrow.
Poor little monster got a full dose of motrin at like 4, and she woke up at about 5:30-5:45ish, and still had a 102.5°F fever... something tells me we'll be seeing a Dr come Monday... sad
Thanks for all your well-wishes and prayers, guys heart

How is your little darling doing today??? I hope that she is better... Cause I know that it is no fun when you have a sick baby... With my first he would get a new ear infectiion every 3 weeks... One time I took him in for a check up and he was fine, Doctor said he was healthy and doing great!! That night he woke up at 3 am screaming like someone was killing him I went into see what was wrong and he was burning up off to the ER we went and sure enough he had an ear infection and let me tell you it was no fun!! I asked the dr how cause he had just been to the dr for check up, and they said that ear infections can sneak up on you just like that.... I was so tired that next day....

Well, She was doing really good for about a day, then she started getting fussy again... I think tonight's issues are from her two bottom premolars that are only days away from errupting. That, and she's having tummy-issues... The other night she had a teeny tiny little poop ball ( sweatdrop lol), after having been almost 48hrs with no decent poops to speak of.. Then the next day, she had two large, HARD ones... and I think she may have gained a fissure. She drank prune juice with dinner last night, no full diapers today... had prunes with dinner tonight. If there's nothing tomorrow, then she's gonna see the Dr... *sigh* well, she'll be 100% on the mend soon.
