hi everyone, I thought it would be fun if we shared some stories about our kids. From Comical to Serious... Believe me I have so many... i was 22 when I had my son Thomas aka Snow-shadow. Let me tell you after having him I really didn't want anymore kids, cause I had morning sickness all through my pregnancy, He was due April 15 and I woke up in extreme pain at 4 in the morning cause if felt like someone was driviing a nail in my ear... I called my dad and stepmom and I was in tears, my stepmom asked if it was time and i said my ear hurts bad... So they came and picked me up and took me to the ER and was told that I had a really bad ear infection... So no contractions in site... Then on the 27th went to the Dr for a checkup and I am almost 2 weeks late, the Nurse practioner starts to measure and feel the baby and she says I feel an awful lot of baby in there, I think we need to do a sonogram to see if you have twins.. Well it turns out it was just one big baby.. So on the29th I was admitted to the maternity ward and they proceeded to induce labor, finally at 8:32am Thursday morning on April 30 I finally gave birth with the help of forceps and 2 nurses pushing down on the top of the fundus... He weighed in at 10lbs 7 1/2oz and was 23in long.My OB called him a sack of potatoes. casue that is how much he weighed.. LOL I ended up with 3rd degree tears to my rectal muscles... he is now 6'1" and 175lbs.

Wow, that was a BIGG baby!! And now the story of a teeny baby! My nephew, Ryan, who I call my baby, was 7 weeks premature. I don't really want to get into my stepsister right now, but the boyo was born into a toilet. He was only 3 lbs 5 oz. I remember going to the hospital 2 weeks later. He was so tiny!! My parents got custody right away, and so I got to take care of and help raise him! It was so funny changing te tiny diapers, because the last diapers I changed were my siser's, who was 4 at the time and potty trained for 3 years! lol. And the poor thing HATED the cold. Ryan screamed everytime I went to change his diaper. Luckily, his p***s was so tiny, he didn't really stream. hahaha!!
But now he's a big pain in the butt!! He's almost 3, and cute as a button and fresh as the day is long! When I go to change his diaper now, he'll try to poke his part and he goes "My p***s!" And I'm like, "Yes, it's your p***s. No playing with it for the next 12 years!!" hahaha!! ^_^ He loves his "Nanie Nana" and I love him, the little squishy! heart

Gah! Over 10 lbs. That's big. I give you kudos for giving birth vaginally! I mean, I did with my son but he was a scrawny thing. A little over 7 lbs. Now he's a chunk and people are always shocked that he's so big. My husband and I are both super skinny. He's about 145 lbs. and 5'10" and I'm maaaaybe 110 or 115 and 5'7". So, we are tall and skinny... and then there's Fox who looks like he might be a football player when he grows up!!!!

over 10 1/2lbs! x_X;; oh my... 6lbs 12oz felt huge to me, I can't imagine! I had a rough time in the delivery room, too... not that labor was that terrible, but my nurse refused to believe me when I said that I rated my pain at a 9. She thought that because I was't screaming/crying/trying to kill someone that it wasn't all that bad. She did, however, believe Anja's grandma when she told the nurse that I was actually in pain with the contractions. lol. Must mean more if somone who's not feeling it says something...
Athena, tell me you had an epidural or some kind of crazy drug to numb you up! wow eek

Kudos to Azriel!!! I don't know what I would of done if my kids were that premature.... OMG!! Job well done in helping to bring up your nephew!! My other 2 kids were daughter Katelynn 8lbx 14 oz she had to be a c-section cause she didn't want to come out... What was funny when I was in the hospital with her was I was in the hospital trying to have my baby and one of my best friends was down the hall from he having her labor stopped... and our other friend who stayed with me the whole time was running back and forth between both of us... Yes she was 8.14 and 19' and they managed to stop my other friends labor and she had a boy 2 months later. then my youngest was a v-back which is a vaginal after c-section, I remeember falling asleep between contractions cause I was so tired.... At one point I asked the Nurse Midwife to use the salad spoons (forceps) to get him out... She looked at me and said no you are going to push him out or have a c-section... I know I didn't want another one of those so I really started pushing... then out came Stephen 9lbs 4oz and 21in long!!!

wow, you make 'em big! lol.. I loved my epidural. I'd been passing out between contractions by the time they gave it to me. I perked right up and told them just how starved I was (I hadn't eaten since maybe 1 pm, and it was about 10pm that night... and I'd puked at appx 8:30), and they gave me a popsicle blaugh heart I sat there for the longest just poking my legs, saying, "this is so cool" lol. I do think that it made my labor longer, though. I think since it was harder to feel them, I couldn't actually work with the contractions. As much as I loved it, I think if I have another, I'll go au natural.. xd I know I could have handled it. But man... that epidural was nice. very sad when it wore off, though...

Hahaha! I hate needles too. Honestly, if there was another way for them to give me those drugs then I might have considered it. But I was not about to let them stick that ginormous needle in my back!!!! Fox's delivery really wasn't that bad though. Before labor, people kept telling me that it would be the worst pain I'll ever feel. I really didn't have that kind of experience. It didn't hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would! I was super tired and wanted to go to sleep though. I even asked the doctor if I could take a nap. "I mean, the baby isn't going anywhere!" I told her. She didn't let me go to sleep... xd To tell the truth, the most painful part for me was afterwards when they had to stitch me up down there. I didn't tear badly, so it was supposed to be a quick thing. One or two stitches. But when I finally got to go to the bathroom, the nurse noticed that I was bleeding from a spot where I shouldn't have been. The doctor made everyone leave because it was pretty bad. I didn't realize how bad it was until my mom told me the next day. Apparently one of my blood vessels had been damaged and was steadily leaking. The skin was so thin that the doctor had a tough time getting the stitches to stay... they kept slipping out! It hurt soooo bad!!! The needle was small, but goodness, it felt like someone was stabbing me with a butcher knife!!!!! They had to give me some sort of drug to relax me so I wouldn't feel as much pain. I still felt it, but not as badly.

I was so afraid to have my epidoral, but I had a cesarean, so there was no way I was letting them take two babies out of my little body without mega pain killers!! If I get pregnant again, I hope this time I can have a vaginal delivery... I know for some of you that probably sounds crazy, but I wanted to with my twins... and I would have if the Doc would have let me. Lilly was breech though.

When I had the Katelynn who was already late I had to have an emergency c-section the dr asked me if I wanted to be awake and said knock me out, I was sooooo tired, what was wierd was at the same time I was in the hospital having my daughter my dad was in the same hospital having triple bypass surgery cause he had a major heart attack at his dr's appt. it took them 3 hrs to stabilize him to transport him some 5 blocks from the dr's office to the hospital.
