"Standing in the gap" is a fairly common phrase among Christians for intercessory prayer. It is based on 2 scriptures from the book of Ezekiel (13:5 & 22:30). The idea is that prayer bridges the gap between God and man and brings us into communion with Him (the gap is truly bridged only by the sacrifice that Christ made on our behalf; it is because of this sacrifice that we are able to commune with the Father at all). Standing in the Gap refers to praying for another, as opposed to praying for ourselves.

Therefore, this forum, is a place for you to post your prayer requests, in the hopes that those Christians who read them will pray on your behalf. It is also intended to be a place where we can offer encouragement to those who are in need of prayer.
