Crop Circles.

This phenomena has been puzzling mankind for much longer than most realize. The earliest recorded imaget is this woodcut from 1678

Many strange incidents have been recorded regarding these formations ranging from "strange feelings" to full blown human disappearances. However, this long standing mystery was completely dismissed in 1991, "two men named Doug Bower and Dave Chorley revealed that they had been making crop circles in England since 1978 using planks, rope, hats, and wire as their only tools." (1) Many other admitted hoaxers have come to light including circlemakers.org . A UK based group which makes many of the elaborate beautiful circles we see:

These circles are compelling in and of themselves for their sheer beauty, and for readily each can be identified as the work of hoaxers. 90% of circles can automatically be explained away as manmade. Now what of the other 10%, what makes them different?

The fact is that even the casual observer can identify a hoax with only a cursory examination. When humans go out trampling stalks with boards on their feet, the stalks obviously break. Not so with true circle stalks, "The stalks of the crops are not broken, they are bent. Bent so severely, under microscopic analyzation, the grain has actually been bent and intertwined at a molecular level. Not only have they been bent, but also there have been trace amounts of radiation found in the plants themselves along with the surrounding soil. Had this been from hoaxers, I see no way possible to intertwine them so perfectly and radiate them." (2)

Basically it seems that these circles have been heated. They have been heated up, pressed down, and allowed to cool. What this reveals to us is that these circles may be formed in less than a minute, " Numerous experiments have shown that if a plant is heated for longer than 40 seconds with microwave energy, dehydration takes place and the plant will burn. Since the plants in a crop circle are not burned in any way but show the enlarged cell pits, then we have to assume that the forming of these crop circles takes place in about 30-40 seconds. If the time were longer than that, the plant would literally be cooked, but instead crop circle plants continue to grow." (3) This quick expansion and regression of the water within the crops has created drastic change in their cell structure. Take a look at these comparisons:

One of your I mean our fellow earthlings holds some more clues to the circle formations. The porcupine.

There have been several cases in Canada and England that are quite unusual -- the circles contain compressed porcupines. Most animals, given the slightest warning of impending danger, will fly or run away. The porcupine, however, stays put, relying on its sharp quills for defense. A mature porcupine weighs about 25 pounds and stands at least 12 inches tall. The ones that have been found in the crop circles have been compressed down to 2-3 inches by some tremendous force. Also, there have been at least two cases where a skid mark in the soil, embedded with broken quills, showed the unfortunate porcupine had been dragged by force from the edge of the formation into the center. Its quills were oriented in the same direction as the swirled wheat. (3)

What I have observed is that the circles which display these strange phenomena are not the intricate works of art seen above. Usually they are simply a plain, though perfect circle, sometimes accompanied by a few others. Therefore, it doesn't seem as likely that these are communications from the stars, as so many believe. However, It is documented UFO sightings always preceed or follow the formation of crop circles. They could be the landing areas of visiting saucers. These leaves us with the question as towards why they would choose an area that left such an obvious mark.

Some believe that UFOs come not from another planet, but from another dimension. Could these be the remnants of dimensional portals? This could explain the stange energies, and disappearances that accompany their formation.

In truth, I have no idea. My point is that once again the skeptics have accepted an easily believable answer, and ignored the facts in the process. I implore people to not take the easy answer, and continue the scientific search for truth.

Yeah, all except for Both Dakotas Dave. He's always good for a song, a jig, and maybe even a couple words of wisdom

I don't believe in aliens. The crop thing is just a very clever farmer society. I know, I have been there.

Well, that is interesting in light of the tens of thousands of dollars in damages they claim from insurance after each incident.
