SPLENDID idea! I hope it all works out! Definitely post it if it comes out well!
Speaking of... I'm a bit bummed about the cast of the Tim Burton movie coming out next year. Normally, I respect Depp as a brilliant actor, but I just don't think he can do justice to Todd. Thoughts?

I'm a bit worried as well. Sweeney is a very vocally demanding role, if done correctly, and I'm sure that everyone is worried about whether or not Depp has the chops for it. I just hope that if he can't really sing the part, he does a sort of Rex Harrison talk singing for some of it, because that would actually work if acted right, and it wouldn't make my ears bleed.

I'm having a little dilemna with costumes and actors...
-I can't find anything in my house for my Beadle to wear!
-I don't know where to find sailor clothes for my Anthony
-My Johanna is trying to take over the production! Should I give her the boot or b***h slap her back into her place?

For the sailor outfit you could try Goodwill, or the Salvation Army, or any Military Surplus Store...as for what the Judge could wear...you could stick him in a dusty old suit or something...as for Johanna, calmly tell her that this isn't her production...if that doesn't work, sic the actor playing the Judge on her...that should frighten her into submission.

I actually found the perfect striped shirt for Anthony (I'll just omit the fact that it's a girl's shirt, I'm sure he won't notice...)
And me and Johanna are friends again. We settled our conflicts and differences for the good of the production. YaY compromises!

I have another dilemna...I need razors (or something as close to razors as humanly possible.)
I constructed two out of butter knives (because I'd rather not actually hurt people when I have to slit their throats on camera, you know, in case I need to reshoot something...) The only problem is that they're straight and I'd like them a little bent. My friend suggested heating up the handle so it's more maleable but I dunno. These are tough little butter knives and I'd moreso like to find something better.
Damn the world for not selling straight razors anymore! >.<

7/5/07 [Day 1]: Today was our first day of filming. I only had over my Mrs. Lovett so me and her could see how long it took to do our makeup and hair, it was about an hour. But other than that, we got two scenes filmed. The first was a little shakey but the second was good. I think we're going to refilm the first one next time but I'm glad that we've got it going. My dad suggested that I shorten the script because he said it'll get boring (*NOTE: He didn't even read the script he just assumes that it's stupid and long. ><;; )
I'll think about cutting out a few unnecessary lines here and there but I definately like what I have and you know what? This movie is for me and my bestest buddy/wifey, not for him. Ha!

Okay, it's filmed, it's edited, it's amazing! But I can't find anywhere to upload it to! I tried YouTube but it's 18 minutes long and apparently won't work. Google Video doesn't work either, it says I've lost the connection or something. I wish I could just directly upload it here, I think you guys would really enjoy it! It's Sweeney Todd like you've never seen before...it's got everything from ninjas to transvestites!
