Hey guys, I still got exams going but hey, what's studying without a little procrastination? 8D

Do you ever find that you write differently depending on the time you choose to do your writing? Or the types of things you write during the night are different the things you write during the day?

For me, the way I write and the things I write about during the day vs during the night are like two sides of a coin. I have to write at different times of the day, or else my writing becomes really unbalanced and difficult to read. The differences (in list format for ease of reading!):

Day
Writing style (totally aware editing isn't a writing style 8D)
* Short-medium sized sentences
* Tends to focus on the logical aspect and rational thought
* Longer paragraphs
* Editing (I'm more awake and more aware of what I'm writing)

What gets written
* Technical parts of battles/fights
* Information gathering/intrigue/the 'boring' parts of the story
* Characters who are logical in disposition
* Characters who think a lot (not necessarily logically)
* Technical aspects of world building - Politics (for story)/History/How certain artefacts work/Planes of existence etc.

Night
Writing style
* Greater use of imagery
* Tends to focus on the emotional aspect
* Longer sentences (as ideas run on from each other)
* OVERUSE OF COMMAS because of the above point
* 1 sentence paragraphs

What gets written
* More than during the day xD
* Sweet moments, sappy moments, moments of loss/sorrow
* Characters who tend to act first, think later (or don't think at all xD)
* Ideas for other stories/world building
* Character essays (where I analyse a character's relationship and interactions with my other characters)

It's kind of weird, but all my best ideas and works happen when I'm just about asleep. XD

My eyelids will be half closed and I keep yawning but that's how I like to write. 3nodding
