So, I've finished Haruhi before, and recently bought the special edition from Anime North. Been watching the DVD over and over again. XDD Soanyways, I was watching the first Mikuru Beam scene, and noticed something for the first real time. (I'm slow at noticing stuff. T^T)
Was that an actual laser beam? Because the special effects in the rest of the 'movie' are crappy. (No offense Haruhi.) Because Haruhi gets whatever she desires, in a sense, correct? Does Mikuru really have a Mikuru Beam because Haruhi wanted her to? Or was that fake?
And why was Mikuru's left eye blue? >.>; Blue contact lenses?
AND WHY DID YUKI SUDDENLY START BEATING HER UP?! I mean... what?! Because Haruhi started screaming CUT!! and walked into the shot... I tried to hear if Mikuru was speaking, but my DVD's subs didn't say anything for her. So I checked the English and it sounded like 'YUKI! AHHH! GET OFF OF MEEE! YOU'RE HURTING MEEEE!'
Maybe I'm analyzing it too much? XDD

Yuki prevents it from hitting Kyon by catching it, then proceeds to knock Mikuru down and take the lens. This scene is shown in the first episode in the anime from Kyon's point of view, however it is never explained.

^ That and Yuki proceeds to injecting nano machines into her via biting.....Mikuru has several occasions where she does some more powers with different color lenses because of Haruhi like when she made that miniature black hole, however, they seem to have not put those in the final edition of the movie. The second volume of the novel is all about them making the movie if you wanna go check that out.

I never thought about that [with the reasoning for yuki getting on mikuru during the film]
And how about the scene near the end when Yuki & Mikuru are battling it out & Itsuki shows up & starts glowing & stuff???
Is that special effects or for real?

Is that special effects or for real? I'm pretty sure that it's special effects...Haven't gotten that far into the novel yet.
