Eden is a planet entirely covered by snow. The surface near the geographical poles is extremely hostile, and is not to be traversed without proper equipment, as the cold will kill an unprotected person in minutes. The surface towards the middle of the planet, however, is more hospitable, only becoming extremely cold at night. There are several medium sized settlements scattered across the planet's surface, offering all the ammenities of regular cities. Many of these settlments are run by mining corporations, extracting frozen minerals and ores from underneath the layers of ice.
