Well, the RP subforum is for rping, so I figured some of you might want to start one, otherwise this forum could be used for something else. Uhhhh.. Well, if any of you have any ideas, just reply or something.
I was thinking something along the lines of people having their own characters, and then another person controling zombies and the environment and such.. I dunno though.

I was thinking different zombie scenerios. Like one biological in the vein of Resident Evil. One where the dead spring to life like the Romero series, and maybe one where the zombies crave brains and talk/run like the Return of the Living Dead series.

Well, which one would you want to do? Would we be military or civilians?

I like the Romero style the best, and I want to be myself, so a civilian. I suppose each player makes their own character, and they control the zombies. If an RP is made, they should make two levels. One for people who want a serious RP, semi-lit to literate, and one for less advanced RPers.

Romero's style is cool, but he never really explained why they just rise from the dead, or why you start dying once one of them bites you. I usually like to have a virus style zombie thing, so there can be some sort of way to save yourself from the infection. You could even go like 28 Days Later, where the zombies aren't even really zombies. They're just people infected with a virus that cause uncontrollable anger. That would be fun!

That would be fun! That's what I liked about the Romero movies. It makes it harder for people to have a cure, which just pisses me off. And in the movies, any death that doesn't destroy the brain leads to becoming a zombie. Day was planned to be the end of that, giving survivors hope, but Land of the Dead brought it back in a deleted scene.

i dont realy like movies with little in the way of explanations, reason i didnt like the dawn of the dead remake fast zombies that were still rotting didnt make sence to me , and any unexplaned zombies lasting for too long a time wondering around rotting makes me want to know a reason for their movement as the rot would render the muscles in the body usless after a bit of time not to mention maggots eating the corpse and other bugs that like rotting flesh lol i think to much about zombies razz

I can't make out too much of the rest of your post. well its a bit of basic nature for a human to move the muscles in the body do the work lot of more info i could talk about here but most school health classes taught more then then enough about them then i care to type out , if you need that info you realy could look it up razz apon death decomposition starts bacteria starts to break down the body and insects also start working to remove the body my point with this is that insects and rot would leave a zombie unable to move after a period of time by destroying the muscle tissues , lol maybe i should stop there or other people will find them selves thinking too much about how zombies would work, and thinking of differances between true zombies and not so true zombies razz like i said i put a bit too much thought into how zombies could work

But, if the zombies are created Zombie Survival Guide style, the virus makes them function also wards off bacteria and animals, which is why animals know to stay away.
Note, I am not saying this is true for all zombies, just Brooks' zombies.

Rot is not the only thing that wears down the zombies movment. Every time a human moves, they cause miniscule tears in their muscle tissue, which we heal very quickly. Zombies, lacking the capacity to heal, do not regenerate torn muscle tissue and eventually would lose all motor function due to mass muscle damage!

Read the zombie survival guide, for the love of God.

thats the point the virus is bringing back a dead person and making that dead person move around and kill and bacteria are adaptable and already infesting the human body can you just picture exactly what it would take for a virus to make a dead body move? just because a virus kills humans and reanimates the dead body doesnt mean it can protect it from natures system for disposing of dead things your talking a highly specialized virus while i can give at best the virus could slow the rot i in no way beleave it would completly stop it the insects on the other hand wouldnt leave the corpse alone and your talking about a highly specialized virus to do what it is doing to humans and insects already carry viruses deadly to humans with out being effected by them so its its probly a safe bet the zombie virus would be too specialized to humans so that insects would be safe from it while i could agree that it could adapt to other critters with bodys what work in ways like ours other mammals and other critters more then likly the most that would happen is the death of the critter, but insects are not close to humans
so with rot , bugs and normal wear and tear on muscles true zombies would have a very limited amount of time they would be able to move about and be a danger
but this is all about a true zombie by that i am meaning a walking corpse 28 days later style nonzombie zombies wouldnt realy have these issues but they also are not true zombies
if there are typos in there miss spellings or just plan ramblings sorry its all most 2 am and i have been drinking
