Stuffs I wrote, on certain females in my life. Note: I am rarely this sentimental.
"The Raspberry Poem" All the good compliments are taken So don't look at me like that When I say you call to mind raspberries Soft and red and sunny And just a little tart I like raspberries, dammit!
"These Things Take Time" Hold still, please While I spend the rest of the day making snowflakes And all of tomorrow giving them to you.
"Your Perfect Helples Little Thing" I hadn't realized That by saying, "Of course!" I'd accepted a tiara A Handle WITH CARE FRAGILE Sticker, all my own Don't you know that Spoiled meat turns green and Sprouts diseases and Gets thrown away (all very carefully) I'm going to mail myself to Someone who will pop with me All this bubble wrap That you put here.
"Just Walk Through the Damn Thing" I don't think I'm going to Walk with you in spring anymore. Every time, you stand At the edge of the puddle Looking forlorn and a little lost. I'm sick of sinking in the Middle of the puddle With rusting loneliness Gathering in patches Just behind my knees.

I like the rasperry poem... it's cute and amusing and vaugly frustrated, and I think it holds a lot of emotion for such a short bit of writing.

The Raspberry Poem and Just Walk Through the Damn Thing are my favorites. The first because it's adorable and deep and silly all in one package. The second because not only do I agree with the title, but there's a lot that's unsaid in it but that is still picked up on, if that makes any sense. I particularly like the last three lines.
These Things Take Time is very sweet and holds as much in it as a poem that's two pages. ^_^
You Perfect Helpless Little Thing is the only one I don't really get. I do like the imagery though, so it's all okay.
