it says in the king james in genesis 9:3-4 that "every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have i given you. but flesh with the life therof, which is the, blood therof, shall ye not eat"
that means that it's ok to eat the meat just not the blood of the animal...

You've probably were mistakened in reading. In most Catholic traditions, there is a time to fast and prevent from eating meat. Although I don't believe in that. Skipping a meal of meat certainly won't bring me closer to God.

Well if it's a sin to eat bloody meat i guess i'm going to have to stop ordering my steak blue rare. although it would flow logically anyway. undercooked meat can lead to serious health problems, ie: disease

i'm not catholic (i'm pentecostal) but i do believe in fasting...not just from meat but for an entire meal...fasting is when you skip a meal drinking only water and that time that you would normally spend eating is spent in prayer seeking God...Jesus fasted for 40 days in the wilderness...that's what he was doing spending time with God...

Well it depends on what kind of meat you are talking about. Like, in the bible, it says not to eat any kind of pork product. It also talks about not eating shrimp. But the bible says that we are to rule over all the animals on earth, so I guess not.

Colossians 2:13-17
13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature,[a] God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[c]
16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you b]eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

some denominations of christianity believe that it is not okay to eat certain meats. I think the jewish religion believes they may not eat pork in any way. Its a matter of interpretation really.

My bible say's: Genesis 9 v3-5 3 "Everything that moves, everything that is alive, is yours for food. Earlier I gave you the green plants, but now I give you everything for food.4 But you must not eat meat that still has blood in it, because blood gives life.5 I will demand blood for life. I will demand the life of any animal that kills a person, and I will demand the life of anyone who takes another person's life. Can anyone tell me why we can't drink blood? I know blood is life, but why? Oh wow! my bible speaks! whee (Oh and i cheated. I didn't type it up, i went on http://www.biblegateway.com/and looked up my bible - so much easier and quicker!)

First off, drinking blood would be disgusting. Secondly, God told us too.
