okay... can someone help me understand something?
i am a huge vampire fan...
i think they are awesome and hot and i would totally be one if i could.
but are they just a smarter, more advanced level of zombie?
think about it...
vampires are reanimated corpses feeding on the blood of the living...
zombies are reanimated corpses feeding on the flesh of the living.
vampires have super strength and sharp teeth to pucture their victims necks and they can speak in a polite and sophisticatedmanner...
zombies just wander around and chew on anything with a pulse.
although, zoombies die ONLY when either completely destroyed or shot in the head...
vampires on the other hand die in sunlight, with a stake through the heart, or if they come in contact with a crucifix.
so are vampires just an evolved form of zombies???
let meh know...

Well vampires are usually said to be some sort of hell spawn no? Zombies on the other hand are ,as stated, re-animated corpses. Also, vampires are not really reanimated corpses because they are usually caused by a vampire drinking the blood of another, turning them into a vampire. On the other hand, you must remember, many people have different ways of explaining things dealing with vampires. for example, read about 3 books about vampires they are each state a different condition for the turning of a vampire. like might say must be a virgin while the other says of opposite sex. Zombies on the other hand just kinda eat flesh and their victims become zombies if their is sufficient flesh left. I don't know, I'm not sure my point here but putting it anyway.

while normal zombies tend to be less mentaly advanced then vampires
it is not always the case zombies though for the most part are in the lesser undead class
all depends on the story not all vampires retain mental abilitys instead becoming mindless beasts controlled by thier thirst

once bitten by a vampire you die, and turn into a vampire. yes but the vampires victim does indeed die before turning into a vampire. uh, i dont think the victim is always somewhat willing, but i do know that once you invite a vampire into your home, they can come and go as they please.

If you ever read the Hellsing the manga, you have to a virgin in order to be a vampire, and willing.. I think.. anywho, it was something like that.
Zombies are mind less and don't care who they munch on, Vampires have.. Feelings... I prefer zombies. and zombies don't have to hide uhh... well I think they know if their hiding.. but they do.. ya know? Like in games.. or movies.. sorry, I got side tracked...
But really, you have to be a virgin to be a vampire... I say good luck with that.

if you take a little bit from every legend, then vampires are immune to crosses, sun only gives them a headache and holy water makes them sick, the are allergic to silver they die when their heart gets pwned with a wooden steak, though good luck with that, garlic annoys them, and they can live on blood other than that of humans, though its less appetizing, some have the will while others like to feed on humans, you don't have to be willing or a virgin to become one... sry i'm sort of a vampirologist...

as for a SHTF kinda thing I would much rather be against Zombies.-
Vampires have the advantage of flying, and night-time sight, as well as a conscience.
Zombies however, are just like a proximity mine, get however close and BAMM! they attack.
