ok..i know this is quite a depressing topic, but I'm not ok...

On may 17 a friend of mine gave a little bunny for b-day present. Her name was tamara, or tamy as i called her, since the first day i saw she had some mucus and i told my parents that we should take her ot he vet, but they dindt listened to me.

Yesterday she was really bad, she had problems breathing and didnt ate or drank at all ... i was really worried, and by the time we noticed this it was to late. I stood away all the night trying to make her drink something and cleaning her nose so she could breath. This morning we took her to the vet, and she dais sh had some Infection.
we leaved her there so they could treat her.
half an hour ago the vet called me to tell me that my little tamy had died. As soon as they tried to rehydrate her there was a flow of mucus and she stopped breathin.

i'm crying like a baby here, because i know that if we had took her earlier she would still be alive, she was only a baby!! she was no older than 3 months old and i fell really guitly.

any way...sorry for tellign you guys somethign so depressing, or sorry if you dont care ut i really needed to say this to somebody...

anyway...if you decide to keep this thread you can use it to paste you stories.

*sends hugs* you loved her, and you tried 3nodding If you'd have taken her earlier there might have been complications in treating the illness then and you may have lost her sooner. It can be really difficult to treat rabbits, their health is often temperamental once they've caught an infection (I used to keep bunnies when I was young, and we lost a few of them before their time), so you needn't blame yourself

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I don't mean to make you feel worse but taking her earlier may not have changed the outcome, she may have been born with it or it could have already been really bad when you got her. Animals like rabbits and other rodents don't really show they are sick until it's too late to be of much good. Taking her earlier may have prolonged her life a little but you may have had to continue to struggle with reoccurances of the infection and it would have been very stressful for you, her, and your parents.
