No but considering how you rarely get to choose the gender of your pets and considering how breeding has to be male + female = kid, I have a feeling some people will use it. ;P

Wow! This is totally gross!
Can I change a pet to female just to breed it, then change it back to male? Is that totally unethical or what?! How would the male pet that just bred feel when its partner turns out to be a DUDE?!

Speaking of being a mod who can do anything, can I change a pet to female just to breed it, then change it back to male?

No, no you can't. A pet can only be bred once, therefore there's no point in changing the gender back.
