i dont have a job. i dont get an allowance. my birthday and christmas are apaced 6 months apart. so what does this all mean for a 15-year old anime fan? it means i never get to buy anything.... ever. however, this year for my birthday, a few friends gave me money (which is unusual) and my relatives havent yet because theyll give it to me (so says my mom) when they come over to celebrate my dad's birthday too (because his and mine are a week apart)... oh yeah, and for some reason my brother's girlfriend gave me some too.
so what does THIS all mean?
it means for the first time since christmas, i can actually BUY things! and i know i intended to buy the last 3 volumes of Hands Off! and as much Dragon Knights as i could afford, but.... ok here's the story.
i was talking to my mom and we got on the subject of backpacks. she said i shouldnt get a shoulder strap one next year and get a normal one. i told her no, because i wanted to buy myself a backpack from Right Stuf and their better ones were shoulder straps.... so she said "how much does it cost? if it isnt too much i'll buy it." so i showed it to her and she thought about it and said "ok fine... i'll pay for it." -- A TSUBASA BACKPACK(b***h, I PWN J00)! so we went onto the Right Stuf website and she said "let's click on the weekly special section, see what's there" and we found the backpack i wanted-- 15 dollars cheaper. so she ordered it already. then she said "sit around and look through the site, check the sales" and so i did.
and i was amazed by some of the stuff there that i WILL be buying, because i have enough money even though 3 or 4 relatives are supposedly giving me some still (in which case i would have more o___O im not used to that)... bargain bin had some dvds that were $10.... some dvds i would love to own! so i'm definitely buying them ^_^ i'm really happy now and will probably finish looking through the website after posting this.
why is this not in my journal? because today's journal rant will be posted after i get back from my french final 3nodding
