Hmm well this might be a bit off the point but I think BlastBeats is a really good thing for Irish bands ^^ Eek who is that band that sings Dearg Doom or is that the name of the band? I cant think of it. They are old enough but they play celtic trad stuff with electric guitars. Folk metal from Scandinavia is very similar sounding i feel to the more trad irish stuff

I have a Saw Doctor's CD. Mostly cause of one song though. Eileen Ivers is amazing, she does traditional and contemporary stuff with all kinds of ethnic rhythms.
Flogging Molly and the Dropkick Murphys are two that I listen to constantly just because.
I have a CD called Tuatha de Dannan (pretty sure I misspelled that) that I think might be more traditional.

ENTER THE HAGGIS.
The are mostly Scottish but are known to do some traditional Irish songs and fiddle tunes.
Also, lately I've really been getting into "The Celtic Tribute to Led Zeppelin".
