Okay! I'll ref your battle and even though I am not yet listed in the Tower, my application was accepted, so I can ref you guys.
Punch me if I'm wrong, Starlurk.
This battle is between Auren and Ryo, 1 on 1.
Rookie vs Rookie being reffed by a Trainee ref. This is will be interesting.
The near-noon sun rises above the Arena at this 67 degree Sunday, it's rays softened by the heavy clouds that fill the sky. Looks like we'll need umbrellas later.
Auren has chosen to use his Earth type monster, Balar.
His level is 1 and his attacks are Swarm and Poison Ivy.
Ryo has chosen to use Ryojoku, the Electric type monster.
Her level is 1 and her attacks are Voltage and Shock Chamber.
Payment has been discussed and accepted.
Auren, since you posed the challenge, you go first.
Afterwards, it's Ryo's turn to show us what he's got.

Flapping his ears, Balar grins as a thick swarm of insects flies in from behind him, towards Ryojoku.
Her lightning antenna and tail twitching, Ryojoku jumps forward and sends a crackling bolt of electricity right at the buzzing cloud of stinging creatures.
A smell of burnt exoskeleton fills the air as insects get fried, but alas, it only takes down part of the angry swarm and the rest succeed in stinging Ryojoku.
Balar: 100%. (As he wasn't hit at all.)
Ryojoku: 82 %. (She has some itchy bumps, but is otherwise okay.)
Ryo, you go first this time.

Ryojoku frowns in concentration as her antenna spark. A small ball of lightning, quickly gaining in size and strength, is formed between the glowing appendages.
Meanwhile, Balar scrapes at the ground with his trunk. Small, green sprouts start to appear beneath the dust cloud, growing and lengthening in an unnatural way.
The sprouts turned vine creeps along the ground, forming trifoliate leaves on the go, and as it approaches Ryojoku, it coils itself around her legs, leaving irritated rashes where the leaves touch.
Wincing at the poisonous effect, Ryojoku throws her head back, antenna tensing as the lightning ball reaches it peak.
Glaring at Balar from beneath the sparking sphere, she throws her upper body foreward, releasing the crackling ball at just the right time.
In a second, the ball connects with Balar, quickly reshaping around him into an electrical force that seems to flow around his shape, sparking whenever he moves.
Balar stares wide-eyed at the effect as painful sparks course through his system.
Balar: 94 %. (Slightly paralyzed as his muscles cramp up from the constant pain-inducement. Moral and speed decreased.)
Ryojoku: 75 %. (Slightly poisoned, mobility decreased due to leg injuries. Angry at Balar .)
Auren, your turn now.
