What is everyone's favorite type of RP? (ie. fantasy, sci-fi, vampires, demons, etc)
Personally, my favorite is still probably some good old-fashioned fantasy. I'm a pretty old-school RPer, though. I've been RPing since the hey-day of D&D and from there it was MUDs. That's pretty much where I gained the largest part my RPing experience, especially in the written aspect. I guess I've always had a pretty good imagination, so I've always loved RPing. Fantasy is my all-time favorite simply because it's so classic. Dwarves and Orcs and such. Though I mainly stick to the D&D style of fantasy, not so much the Tolkien variety. I'm starting to ramble xd
So, what about the rest of you?

Definitely fantasy or anime, though it's impossible to find literate versions of the latter. I really want to RP dark fantasy, but whenever I make a thread, I don't even get any WTF's. Of course, by dark fantasy, I'm not talking about the usual demon crap that's out there now; think Michael Moorcock. Despite that, I actually started out with vampire and elemental RPs.

Michael Moorcock's best known series is about Elric of Melniboné. Elric is the Emperor of the island of Melniboné, whose citizens (which are drey) are the most decadent people in the world. Unlike the others, however, Elric has a conscience, which slowly drives him insane. To make a long story short, he serves the Duke of Hell, Arioch, despite being the hero. His sword, Stormbringer, is the Black Blade, which devours the soul of whatever it cuts, particualrly Elric's family and friends. Elric also burns Melniboné to the ground. Wikipedia has a lot more information, but I didn't want to give away anything. I have a slideshow of Elric on my profile.

I like Fantasy and Adventure roleplays best. smile And for Fantasy I like Medieval and Magic.
Also, I like roleplays based on my favorite books or shows or mangas. Anyhow, I also like RPing sci fi, too. But it's not my favorite.
I am okay with RPing basically anything, in fact. smile I am adaptable.

I like D&D and also Sci-Fi RPing with magic, but I prefer call & response stat based gameplay than paragraph RPing.

Favorite, oh thats a hard one. I like the fantasy plot-twist ones. (You know the one's that have become near non-existant on gaia.) I like some of the old fashion midevil ones, although it hard to find one with a good plot. Futuristic labatory/genetics roleplays. (If you've never rped one think Bioshock style government ruled by scientists that want to play with human genetics. Minus most the zombie stuff.)
I'm one of those people that got in a last 'popular literate' rp before gaia went.... all screwy with newbs. I also have rped a few dark fantasy, and good vampire ones. I'll also do those highschool one's if I feel like it, but not nearly as often. The very last thing I would do is do a fandom rp. xp I've only seen one literate fandom rp, and that was a Kingdom Hearts one way back in the day when the first game was new.

My favorite is fantasy and sci-fi. I have a world of my own and a crazy imagination so I can come up with some heavy heavy stuff. Most stuff original, some things though have some aspects from certain things. But mostly original stuff. I like originality, it tells that a person is very creative.
