"My father, Tiamat, she who bore us, detests us. She has set up the Assembly and is furious with rage. All the gods have rallied to her; Even those whom you brought forth march at her side. They throng and march at the side of Tiamat, Enraged, they plot without cease night and day. They are set for combat, growling, raging, They have formed a council to prepare for the fight. Mother Hubur, she who fashions all things, Has added matchless weapons, has born monster-serpents, (20)
Sharp of tooth, unsparing of fang. With venom for blood she has filled their bodies. Roaring dragons she has clothed with terror, Has crowned them with haloes, making them like gods, So that he who beholds them is overcome by terror, Their bodies rear up and none can withstand their attack. She has set up the Viper, the Dragon, and the Sphinx, The Great-Lion, the Mad-Dog, and the Scorpion-Man, Mighty lion-demons, the Dragon-Fly, the Centaur-- Bearing weapons that spare not, fearless in battle. (30)
~ Tablet II of the Enuma Elish
The year, though it is not yet recorded, is 3053 B.C., and Mesopotamia is being plagued by all manners of demons and undesireable creatures, which signal the prophescized reawakening of Tiamat on earth. A prophet has discerned that only a band of half-gods can slay the mother of chaos in the underworld itself, before she enters this world and floods it, destroying all that has been created. Emissaries have been dispatched at once throughout the city to locate them.

PROFILESUsername: Teague the Druid Name: Sareek Descent: Son of Enki Age: 19 Weapon/s: Bronze Sickle-SwordGifts: Intuition, drowsiness spell Personality: Calm, analytical, decisive, reflective Bio:Sareek is known to have predicted the arrival of a lion or a wolf seconds before it reveals itself, and is often given the task of shepherding, which he does well due to his ability to keep the sedate, even sleepy if he desires, and because he's very good at setting traps for lions. He is known to be fair, if somewhat secretive. He spends more of his freetime with tablets and chessboards than in the "Houses of Inanna", or in hunting. Appearance:

Sareek adjusted his leather pack, making sure that he had all manners of necessities with him for the trip. Supposedly others would be meeting him at this temple soon, which could be as much as fifteen minutes, since he'd arrived rather punctuallly on the specified time. The priests charged with astrology had attested to his divinity- something that had frustrated him somewhat. He knew it was fortunate to be as he was... yet he felt so alienated by it as well- seperated from any who he might otherwise be able to get close to on even terms.
He wasn't a sad person, or even one to think his luck was bad... Rather, he was somewhat excited by the journey, despite it's portent... But there was something unnerving about being laureled for something only the clergy and his family had known. Perhaps he'd become accustomed to greatness, but it would be quite a shift for the resourceful shepherd. He removed the fine bronze blade from the leather sheath, examining it for nicks or chips, and finding none. He hadn't expected to find any, of course; It had no tin defficiency, as did most bronze.
