Ever wonder wtf is going on? Where am I? What is this place? Wonder no more, read up and learn here! Pay attention, cause this is about to get really complicated. Focus, grasshopper.
The Universe, and it's meaning:
There are two governing bodies that reign control over the universe, those that walk in shadow and those that move in light. They are EVERYWHERE. In the universe, the huge expanse of 'space' there is both infiniate darkness and infinate sources of light... these two powers are always present and always at war.
For some unknown reason, these two powers came together and agreed to a neutrality contract. Within this contract, a sort of game / on going contest was started. Each power, that of light and that of darkness, was alloted the same number of planets within the universe. Each power would send one minion to each of thier planets as a Keeper. The Keepers were then imprisoned on the planet as thier guardians and would wait until a fighter of an opposite power appeared to fight them for the control of the planet.. and in a sense, the piece in the game.
Think of it this way:
God and the Devil are both sitting in a park somewhere, a couple of well dressed men, one dressed in a lovely black suit, maroon tie, black hair slicked back and smoking a cigar.. his companion- a man dressed in all white, hair rather messy and carefree and sipping on a glass of water. They're sitting at a stone bench with a chess board infront of them.. each man doesn't speak while they make moves.. but inbetween there are brief exchanges of words. Now, the chess board is unlike any other- the pieces are tiny floating globes.. like multicolored planets.
Today, The Devil makes his move. He pushes a planet across the board and into one of the Lords planet places.
What just happened? Well, the person from the Devil's controlled planet will now LEAVE his planet and go to the Lords planet to fight the guardian there for control of that planet.
This war has gone on for EVER. Whoever wins, controls the universe.
The Planet, Sigil:
You are here. This entire story takes place on Sigil. The Keeper of Sigil is the Demon Kurono Meeki, from the Dark Side. [catchy, that.] Sigil is composed of a few scattered continents, the main ones being Imperial and Elysium. Sigil is built a lot like earth. It's seasonal and has lots of water. Only differences are: it has floating islands, magic, and lots of weird magical s**t.
Imperial
The first continent. The story started here. Forget what you knew. As of now, history says the continent of Imperial was overrun by mist and Mistborn [WEIRD mutantzombiedemons] and everyone was either killed or sent across the ocean to Elysium.
Imperial sat dormant, and the mist faded. Eventually all the Infernis [mistborn demons] went into the south and underground. No one lives in the south because of the Infernis.
The north was rebuilt, and is now run by a group called the Fleet. The Fleet are searching for thier king, one of Drakes bloodline. [Drake being the first king of the North, way back before the mist attacks]
The West is still run military style, and they'be begun rebuilding. The easterners have all dissapeared.
Free trade with Imperial has begun to grow since the Infernis have moved underground in the south and the appearance of Infernis hunters.
Elysium
One big huge a** city. The entire continent is a city, all urbanized. Elysium is home of Oracle, Kurono Meeki's enterprise. Oracle was the first to start and research the Doushikai project.

Fall of Imperial In the first 'season' of the Doushikai, all RP took place on Imperial. Imperial was a continent seperated into 4 sections: North [the magic users], South [The city], East [The desert], and West [The snowlands]. North and South were seperated by a huge wall of demon-spawning mist.
Time went on, the Doushikai's numbers increased into the hundreds. The mist slowly began to generate more and more demons, and slowly the mist began to spread outwards into the Southern city. With the spread of the mist and demons, war broke out among the humans and Doushikai.
This war lasted almost to the end of Imperial.
Humans blamed and feared the Dou. They believed it was the Doushikai's fault for the demons and mists appearance, and that the fall of thier cities and deaths of their loved ones were all because of the Doushikai. At the end of the war, the Doushikai were trying to protect the dwindling number of humans- but failed.
One of the Northern mages, a Doushikai, had over time gone crazy.. and blew up the Southern city.. and all who lived there. The rest of the continent was overrun by demons- and all were thought to be dead. Imperial became a ghost continent.
Time passed, people went underground into safe havens from the demons. The humans became mythical creatures of stories. The Dou survivors ratio of human to dou was 1 to 5.
Magic on Imperial totally dissapeared. The mist faded, and eventually the demons retreated back into the shadows until thier killings were something that happened once in a long time.
The survivors of Imperial all fled to the shores, and began leaving on boats to cross the sea to the new continent of Elysium. Welcome to Elysium The 'Twin' continent to Imperial, is the continent of Elysium. This continent is far larger than Imperial was, by at least three times. Elysium is primarily a large city around the coast. The coast consists of a series of elaborate harbors and ports that bleed into the city. The city of Elysium covers about half of the continent completely in industrial-urbanization. WAY past the city is a bit of country consisting of everything from plains, fields of endless trees, jungles, and swamps.
Oracle Corp. Oracle is the leading and main manufacturer of Bio-chemical and Bio-engineering. They have thier hands in everything around the city from food production to medicine. They control the city, practically. Oracle has a main base in the city of Elysium, but they have mini research facilities all over the continent. Oracle had no facilities on Imperial.
Oracle Corp. is controlled by Kurono Meeki. Advent In the beginning, bio-engineering on a large scale was initiated by the Oracle corperation. They recruited top scientists and brought them into thier facilities to study and research the creation of creatures with human-like traits but superior strength and advantages like ... control over magic.
During this period of time, the Oracle corp. recruited Ogre and later Alberich. Ogre and Alberich were both assigned the same team to research Oracle's newest project, 'Doushikai'. Years past, headway was made.. and eventually Oracle got the very first 'Doushikai'. There were only four created [called the 'Magi'], and they were prototypes for the others developed by Oracle. After the creation of the 'Magi', the research on the project was kicked into full gear.
It was during this time that Ogre quit his work with Oracle, cut ties, and stole the project notes he'd developed. Ogre left Elysium and traveled across the sea to the continent of Imperial, taking with him all the notes he'd ever written concerning the Doushikai development. From his notes, he created his own strain of Doushikai- the first generation.
Meanwhile, back on Elysium, Oracle was already in developments of it's full set of Doushikai. They had no knowlage that Ogre had taken any of the notes or records with him upon his departure from the continent.
Terms Magi: The first, and origional Doushikai. Time [wind], Creation [earth], Chaos [fire], and Void [water]. Imp: Doushikai created on Imperial, with Ogre's blood. Sleepers: Doushikai created by Alberich. Hive: The registry information that houses all registered Doushikai. Any Dou created by Oracle are all coded and registered within the system. Coded: All Oracle-born Doushikai are marked with a special agent in thier blood that creates a signature barcode across thier right hands. It's not always present, but when touched with a reacting agent, the barcode appears.

Map Buildings Quote: o. Oracle HQ: Main building of Oracle. o. Mall o. ChinaTown o. Mah's Dojo o. Library o. Hallaverd Academy Icons/Relics NPC's Bishop "Welcome to my Item Shop!!"Sold out. Races Quote: Human : The original race of Sigil, much like you or I. Some humans have higher levels of magic than the common man, the only difference between them and us. On Sigil, humans are very close to extinction- the Doushikai, as the stronger race, have become dominant. Doushikai : Lab-created humanoids of superior strength, mental capacity, and magical ability. The Dou were created in a lab, originally by a scientist named Ogre. They have since gone from his pet project to an expanding race several thousand strong, evolving over time to become even stronger. The Dou lifespan can be that of a normal human, or incredibly long- it depends on the subject, what generation he is, and what that particular Dou has endured. Evolution of the individual is an excrutiatingly painful process, but can grant even higher physical capabilities, as well as the extended lifespan. Infernis : The 'true race' of Sigil. These Mist-born creatures are not Demons, though they appear to be so to the uneducated. Most often, they are the dead that the world has claimed as Her own and brought back to fight in Her stead. They are mindless, ugly, and zombie-like. The exception to this is the Infernis in the upper echelons of power; these are often Dou that have been tainted by the Mist, or particularly resourceful soldiers from the lower levels. They retain the beauty and attractiveness of their life, while gaining attributes of the Mist such as horns and darker coloring. They are an enemy to just about all living humans and Dou- the people who harm the planet. Children of the Guardians : The last race native to Sigil are the Guardians, and their children. The Guardians are the three protectors of the planet, born directly FROM the planet, who are very nearly gods in their own right. They are Lu Shen, the Dragon; Mah, the Tiger; and Sakka, the Phoenix. Each of these has children they have had interacting with the people on this planet. Many of the Dragons have been killed over time. There have never been more than two or three Tigers born into the world. The Phoenixes, the most prolific race (thanks to their loose-moralled sire) are still a strong, active race that reside mainly in the floating islands in the sky. Each race carries attributes of their sire- Dragon wings/horns/claws, Tiger ears/tail/fur, and Phoenix wings/feathers/tails, to name a few. Ayven : 'Angels' Lehl : 'Demons' Caspian : The Paired: : The secondary race of Pallida. They have remained on the brink of extinction for hundreds of years, content as a people to stay small and tribal. At the age of ten, every child is taken to an ancient ritual hosted by the Elders of the tribe; there, they are given a small totem in the shape of a cat-bear. Over the next several days of seclusion and fasting, they merge with this creature. It becomes a secondary personality to them, like a second control system in the brain- much of the personality and thought is the same, but with noticabnle differences. One side is ALWAYS aware when the other is not. This secondary personality controls the second form- a massive cross between a large feline and a bear, with four inch claws and thick, soft fur that protects it from most anything. This dual personality also makes them more emotionally stable, as a whole. Sometimes this secondary personality comes with little powers of it's own, such as LockLear's ability to phase through objects/people/space. These are common, but not particularly useful. Paired are able to fight in the Arena, but not all are trained- only a handful go to the Arena, and few come home once they become dedicated to that life. The Paired can be identified by their names, which always have two parts (LockLear, JezaHart- the Bearcat is named first) and their bi-color eyes, one for each personality. Gender does NOT matter- the Bearcat might be the opposite gender from the host. Burkies.
