Hey everyone! Summertime is almost officially here in the northern hemisphere... I don't know what to say for you south of the equator. Do you all have any big ideas like vacation plans? I, myself, am pretty much working and volunteering on days off. I am taking a few vacations in August but before that I have a day cruise on the Lady Washington- AKA the "HMS Interceptor" in Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl pirate .
So feel free to post about your summer here- plans, stories, or whatever you'd like! biggrin

I don't have much of a plan. We probably will hit the beach as often as possible so I can scare people in my swimsuit razz

So yeah... I am an events person for where I live and I am second in command for half of the largest free festival in the state and had 3 people arrested. The first was an a** who had a fiddle and played like s**t. He was also asking people for money while in front of vendors who payed $250 for booth space and were not making a whole lot while morons were giving this guy money o.0. I came and asked for him to leave and he told me to get down to his level and I'm like "uh no, you come up to mine" and we argued and he kept trying to intimidate me so I gave him my option of either leaving or I get my "supervisor who happens to be a cop." He told me to go right on ahead so I found the Chief of Police for my city and he told me that what the guy is doing is illegal since he has no permit so he sent 3 cops after this guy... it was so funny watching him try to defend himself saying its a "public park" and cussing these 3 cops out and trying to put up a fight. They had enough of him and pushed him to the ground and cuffed him.
Later that day I saw a family with a little girl walking cautiously and keeping an eye behind them. I kept watching them closely and saw them go into a booth and ask the vendor if they can stay there for a while. I came up to them and brought them to a staff only area and they told me that this guy has been stalking them for the past hour and pointed him out to me. I called my supervisor who sent an officer over and cuffed the guy. I later found the guy was a level 3 sex offender... joyous stressed
The next day a drunk guy went and used the staff-only bathrooms and didn't bother locking the door and was cussing like mad. I had an officer come and he was arrested as well... God I love this event, though I think it'll be my 4th and last year doing it sad

Wow Icarus good for you! I'm sorry to hear it's your last year doing it though.

@Que...yup I body surf but I'm not that good at it but it's really fun. I had to learn the hard way how to not get pummeled by the waves

We have some lagoons here that are really nice they only get about 4 feet deep and since they were man made they have rocks towards the mouth of the lagoon keeping all the big fishes out. Although we do get an occasional sea turtle

Very nice! I grew up on a lake and we would occasionally go water skiing. We always had a blast, but I always ended up getting sun burnt.
