So, I was reading an article on Jim Hill Media about how Disney didn't really care about missing out on the rights to the Harry Potter theme park, /and/ it talked about how they might compete with it. One of the ideas on the table is a possible revamp of Adventureland, making it completely POTC themed.
I was in shock when I read that. Adventureland? Walt's Adventureland in WDW? They couldn't! They wouldn't! But they could. mad I think it'd be a total slap in the face to Walt and his original dream for WDW. While they could blow the Magic Carpets of Aladdin up and I happy dance around it's grave, I'd be extremely upset if they got rid of the Swiss Robinson Treehouse, the Tiki Room (even though I don't even go in it anymore, I like just passing the nice sign. XD), and more. I know you can't stop change, but still, it's sad.
Tomorrowland is already straying from Walt's plan. It's not really looking to the future anymore. It's looking to Pixar.

i am not to happy with what Iger is doing with the parks right now... If they carry out with that i will not be too happy with Iger... Alright Eisner wasnt that good but he still kept all the classic attractions and didnt try to screw with anything he shouldnt... he realized what walts dream was... i dont care for Iger too much evil

Adventureland is too small for them to do anything with it. They have just revamped Tom Sawyer's island to be more Pirate themed. I think they are more focused on expanding Pirates through New Orleans Square. Adventureland is in no danger.
They were going to completely change Tom Sawyer's Island to Pirate's theme at first, but the seem to have realized we weren't going to stand for that.
