that is such a beauuuutiful sweet little movie, I always cry at the part Widow Tweed has to put Todd into the forest and this little poem is being recited, it's so sad! crying crying I love that movie heart heart

I loved that movie so much when I was little. I watched it a million times! I wish I still had it. Its such a good movie.. 3nodding

I'm not a big fan of it, it's just too sad. The concept and stuff is nice, but it's just so heartbreaking when they can't be friends anymore.

I used to like it up until the point when they grow up....then I would get bored. I think I would enjoy the end more now.

I'm fond of it, though I haven't seen it in years. My mom-in-law used to play it in her daycare. I'm not sure the kids really watched it; I think they just liked the "doggies". smile
It had a bittersweet ending and that was the best solution, unlike some other examples where the entire plot is rewritten to avoid uncomfortable issues (Pocahontas, Hunchback, etc.)

They shouldn't have to change an entire story to make it happy and cheerful, and it's okay if sometimes the ending isn't perfectly happy. Still, I always found this movie kind of tough to watch because of it.
