O'Neil loves poetry but his composing always comes first. (I'm only a voucher for O'Neil like a messenger boy, a character of his. Don't ask.) Yeah he loves composing, anyone else?

Whatever I get an idea for first, sometimes it's lyrics other times it's music.

I just pick up my guitar and I'll come up with a strumming pattern and lyrics. Also, I write piano solos, but those take waaaaay more work. xD

I am actually composing a song for a brass choir on Finale right now...It's coming along pretty well...it is about 21 measures long, in the key of Eb and is mainly in 7/8 time.

I'm a composer. Most of my stuff is for voice and piano, but I've also got a lot of work for various ensembles, including: trios (like flute, clarinet, and cello, or trumpet, alto sax, and tuba), small section ensembles (8 wind instruments, or 7 brass instruments, or 5 part strings), large ensembles (classical era sized orchestra, romantic era sized orchestra aka typical size, contemporary ensemble aka instruments on hand which there were many, in a random combination). I also have an affinity with writing pieces for choir, and have done SATB, SSA, and SA. I've written music for several short excerpts of films and one short film. I like to write poetry for fun, and I've slowly been turning some of them into songs.
Current projects include:
-finishing up some compositions that I had started years ago but haven't worked on since
-writing a choral piece for a competition
-a couple of poetry to song projects (which include large instrumental ensembles along with the voice)
-an SSA choir with 5 part wind ensemble project
-recording my music
I have more, but they'll wait till later.
