Personality: Ren is a very laid back person, even bordering lazy. He doesn't like to do jobs that require brut strength--he isn't weak, however. In fact, Ren is quite strong and has acquired muscles from doing normal every-day activities. He's very stubborn and even more so when it comes to his friends. Though, upon meeting Alric again, he slowly starts to come out of the shell he built around himself.
History: When Ren was younger he was stuck to his mother like glue. Constantly following her around and never leaving her for a moment. He was the definition of a "Momma's boy". Though, one day his mother went over to her friends house, and took Ren with her. His mother's friend also happened to have a little boy who was his age. When Ren first met Alric he was a bit mean to him and teased him every time he would go over to Alric's house with his mother. Though, soon their hate-hate relationship grew into a tight relationship. They became best friends. They remained this way, attached at the hip. However, Ren turned sixteen something horrible happened. Ren Alric were involved in a horrible car accident that sadly took Alric's life. It left Ren absolutely devastated to the point that he didn't talk for nearly a year. He felt it was his fault that Alric died, because he had erged his best friend to come with him when he was going out drinking. After the accident Ren's personality took a turn for the worse; he was very cold, and stubborn--only talking to tell people to get out of his way. So, when Ren met Alric once again--he was in utter shock.

Personality: Alric is a normal gentle boy who doesn't play sports unless he has to and/or it is absolutely necessary. He's a pretty mellow teen who sticks with his best friend, Ren, like glue. Unlike other male teens whose hobbies are athletics, Alric’s hobbies are reading and playing a little basketball with Ren, so long as Ren doesn't go too hard on him. He's kind to others and gives everyone countless chances to redeem themselves if they do something wrong, even if they hurt him. At the age of fifteen Alric gets in a car accident and wakes up, realizing it is a year later and comes to find that a business man had saved his life due to Japan's latest technology, turning him into almost 85% android. Not wanting to let anyone know he is no longer practically human, he shuns himself away from others to prevent anyone discovering his identity. When Alric bumps into someone who claims to be his best friend and knows him, he is left confused, like their something important he’s forgetting but can't quite grasp what it is.
History: When Alric was younger, his mother would always invite her best friend, who also had a boy around his same age named Ren, to come over and have some tea. While the two women talked, the two boys were shunned to the room to play. Although Alric didn’t consider being bullied and teased on 'playing,' the two had finally come to an understanding somehow and grew to be best friends, despite their differences in personalities and common likes. After some time passes, Ren urges him to come and celebrate his 17th birthday. Uneasy about the decision he agrees to celebrate Ren's 17th birthday but tragically on the way back is hit hard by a drunk driver while on the highway. With the car swirling upside down and sliding, he is severely injured in the accident and is confirmed dead due to the airbag failing. Six months later he awakes, noticing he is fully alive thanks to a rich businessman who used the latest technology in Japan, transforming Alric about 85% android. Devastated he is no longer practically human; he quickly shuns himself away from others, not wanting the risk of other discovering he is inhuman. In exchange for his life being saved, he must stay with the businessman, playing extravagant musical pieces from a violin along with other exchanges that closes himself from the world. Six months later, a year since the incident, Alric intertwines with a former teen who claims he knows him. Alric ignores the teen, considering him senile but feels as if the stranger that claims to know him, whose name is Ren, has something to do with the unremembered memories he can't recall from the past year. Despite ignoring the stranger, Alric shuns everyone away in fear of someone discovering him being an android and the 'slave fate' he has with a former businessman that saved his life.
Other: Alric likes taking strolls through parks and sometimes playing basketball with his best friend Ren.

Alric lied upon the silk green grass that glistened with the oblique current as he gazed at the shades of orange and yellow from the sun that peered through his eyelids. Not a sound from adults talking, teenagers’ gossiping about their and other people’s problems or kids laughing while playing tag could be heard. No insects screeched in agony of the sun’s calm radiant beams and no bird cried out for hunger and warmth from their mothers. It felt as he were in a world of peace with no worries, no danger. Alric silently inhaled the fresh air through his nostrils letting it consume his lungs before exhaling. Nothing was better than lying upon soft grass on a beautiful day.

"s**t!" Ren cursed, throwing his covers off of him as he leapt out of his bed. He ran to his mirror peering in it to make sure his hair wasn't a total disaster. Hastily, Ren dashed to his closet and snatched his school uniform from its hanger and quickly attempted to put it on as he hopped down the hallway that led to his living room, "Dammit! I'm going to be late, again!" Ren cried, frustrated as he pulled his last sock on and slipped his foot effortlessly into his shoes. Not wasting another moment, Ren exited his house and darted for the road. As he ran, his thoughts raced. I'll never make it in time if I take the normal route ... though, I could take a shortcut through the park. Ren smirked slightly and veered to his left and entered the park. Not watching where he was going because he was in a rush, Ren accidentally tripped over something and landed face first on the ground ... only it was very soft, and slightly warm, yet cold at the same time, "What the-" Ren half-growled.

Alric cringed in pain as he felt a heavy weight slam against his rib cage and then over-looming him into a seconds’ darkness. Pain inflicted across his right side as irritation grew but suppressed it down as the dead weight never lifted. Alric noticed it was someone who had been running, not looking where he was going and had accidentally tripped over him. Why was this dude sprinting through the grass instead of the sidewalk though? He squirmed a little to relieve the weight but gave up, noticing the teen that had been running was a familiar face he knew anywhere. Alric frowned, “What are you doing running around like an idiot Ren…” His voice droned into a yawn and then a sigh. Alric once again tempted to wriggle his way out from under the heavy weight but gave up once more. There was no way he was going to be able to squeeze out from under someone who worked out everyday and had muscles that brought down mass.
'Maybe I should start working out…but I hate working out…' Alric frowned at the self-suggestion before throwing the idea from his thoughts. There was no way he would be able to survive it if he decided to work out. After a moment had passed, frustration grew even more. “Ren…I know I’m obviously attractive and just so damn good looking but could you please restrain yourself and get off of me?” A smirk spread across his thin lips, amused at his own sarcasm.

Ren grunted as he quickly, yet gently, rolled off of the person who he had tripped over. As he sat up he rubbed the back of his neck and looked to the person on the ground with slanted eyes. Though, when he saw who it was his eyes widened a fraction and a slight blush spread across his cheeks. There, lying on the soft grass lay an auburn haired boy with amber eyes and a very thin frame. Ren blinked, "Alric?" He questioned aloud to the boy on the ground. He frowned in distaste when Alric called him an idiot, "I wasn't running like an idiot...." his frown deepened as he leaned his head back and ruffled his maroon hair slightly. He grinned wolfishly at Alric's comment, "Ha, fat chance buddy. You know I'm sexier than you. Chicks always dig my six pack." Ren laughed and stood up, stretching his back muscles and flexing his arm muscles slightly at the same time as he did so. Ren glanced back down at Alric and crouched down, "Need some help up Alric?" He asked, extending his hand for Alric to grab. Dude, he really should start working out more ... he's a muscle-less stick. Ren chuckled aloud, "You look so frail, Alric." He grinned slyly, "Like a girl." Ren straightened up his back, his hand still extended for Alric to grab, "Come on man, we'll be late for school if you don't get your lazy a** up off the ground." Ren added, reminding him that they did in fact have school in a matter of mere minutes.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 12, 2007 4:32 pm

Alric scowled at Ren’s remark as he surreptitiously glanced down at his abdomen, hoping Ren wouldn't catch him checking himself out to see if he had even a fraction of muscles of his own. “Well, it’s not like I can not agree with you. The only things women go after in a man are the muscles.” Unlike Ren’s built body that called out ‘sexy man who works out and is strong,’ his was thin, flat and pale; it didn’t help with the rimmed glasses either. In everyone’s eyes Ren looked like a smart jock who loved sports and was a women’s man; which he was. Alric was the type to sit in the very front of the class to be certain to get the lessons from the teachers and kept to himself due to other dense jerks teasing him. It didn’t help that he had no color in his skin except for a hint of peach and the rimmed glasses added on to the teasing. Thinking that he would never feel the emotion ‘love’ slightly depressed him but ignored it. Exercising wasn’t really a big deal, he could do it. It didn’t seem too hard but Alric didn’t understand why all the girls went for the muscles instead of the heart. Silently sighing, Alric accepted Ren’s offering of hand as he heaved himself up.
“My first period is English. You could say I’m on pretty good terms with her so she won’t mind if I am a little late,” There was another reason to add on to the teasing; a teacher’s pet, “I suppose we could walk together though.” Without another word Alric bent down to pick up his messenger bag and began walking in the direction Ren had previously been running in. The school actually wasn’t that far, only about two blocks away.

Ren smirked slightly as he saw Alric check his abdomen and frown in disappointment. He laughed heartily, "I'm just playing with you, Alric." Ren said, "You should know that by now." He chuckled softly looking down at his very small-framed friend. Truth be told, a lot more girls like Alric than me. Ren thought, examining Alric's crestfallen face. They say he's the 'cute' type of boy and that he's sweet and funny. I'm sure if given a choice any girl would choose Alric. Ren slanted his eyes. I mean, hell, even I think he's cute and I'm a guy. Blinking, Ren frowned. What the hell am I thinking? He rubbed the back of his head with his free hand as Alric had grabbed his other hand and hoisted himself up off the ground. "Man, it's no fair that your on such good terms with your teachers, Mr. Higgin's is going to have my neck for being late, he'll probably make me stand in the hallway again..." Ren grumbled thinking of the events that would soon follow in the future, "Well then, we better go then, huh?" Without saying another word, Ren hastily grabbed Alric's hand and took off in the direction that their school was in, "Come on Alric! Today's not the time to slack! I don't want to be punished -- again!"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 12, 2007 5:09 pm

Slightly startled by the sudden change, Alric quickly adapted and ran alongside Ren. He frowned at the sudden fast-paced movement they were running in and glanced at his friend. “Maybe I can talk to him after school and tell him that you were helping me with something. Although I don’t have the same teachers you have, Mrs. Hayatsuni told me that a lot of teachers knew about me.” Alric frowned once again at the sudden memory. Alric’s mother was proud to have a smart child and all the teachers in school knew and applauded him. To be honest, Alric simply sighed about it. Teachers were supposed to care about everyone, not just the nerds and smart people that did their work. All the troublemakers needed were a little more attention and discipline than the others and they would turn out fine. Except for him, Jack. Alric quickly erased the thought of his former classmate. Ren was good at reading his expression so if he put on a worried expression due to the thought of a troubling teen in his same class, Ren would notice it. Alric didn’t consider it a big deal about Jack’s teasing and bullying, but no matter how bad it got he didn’t plan on telling Ren about him. It wasn’t his business and certainly not his job to take care of him all the time, no matter how pathetic and weak he was. He suddenly remembered the sudden response Ren had given him as he secreted a smile. Playing with him about girls huh? More like the word teasing seemed to be the right choice of word but he ignored it.

Once they had reached the school a bell rung within the school walls and lingered. It was the bell for first period to start. Scratching the nape of his hair, Alric turned to Ren with a weak smile. “I guess you’ll be standing outside today for punishment huh? I’ll try talking to him after school and see if I can get him to ease up on you. Wait for me at your class okay, I’ll meet you there.” Alric gave him a light pat on the shoulder before making his way up the stairs and out of sight. He inhaled deeply before opening the classroom door. He felt all twenty four pairs of gazes turn from the chalkboard, which Mrs. Hayatsuni was currently writing on, to the sliding opening door he walked in through. Alric averted his eyes to the floor and gave a weak smile to the teacher. “Sorry I’m late. I got caught up on something.”

Mrs. Hayatsuni gave him a warm smile as she shook her head. “Don’t worry about it. I’m sure whatever you were doing was important enough for you to be a minute late. You’re excused.” She went back on writing on the chalkboard Chapter 36 Questions 1-30…DUE TODAY! Alric suppressed a smile as he wondered if it would go this smoothly in Ren’s class; probably not. He frowned at the familiar odious voice from behind the class.

“That’s not fair miss. He was a minute late and you say he’s excused? Why don’t you excuse me for once whenever I’m a minute late?” It was Jack’s voice. Alric turned to gaze at Jack's direction as a cold chill ran down his spine when noticing he was frowning at him. Not good. Smiling usually meant he was going to tease him anyway, but frowning meant Jack was a little pissed off. 'I wonder if Ren has someone that’s always on his case and hurts him.' Alric almost laughed at the thought. If Ren did have enemies, they were the geeks that envied his popularity but were too chicken s**t to do anything about it. Alric gave Jack a weak smile as he quickly turned to the teacher waiting for her response. It was apparent she disliked him due to her huffed face. It usually meant she was mad whenever she built up the courage to respond back to an audacious student.

“Even if this young man is twenty minutes late, I wouldn’t count him absent! You on the other hand, I will continue to count every tardy you make even if you are second late until you raise your scores. Why should I give you a treat in ignoring your tardiness if you’re practically failing and have the lowest score than all of my classes? I don’t think so. Start bringing your grades up to Alric’s level and I’ll probably consider it.” Mrs. Hayatsuni sighed loudly before turning to her desk. “Do the assignment on the board. It’s due today.”

Without another word spoken Alric silently took his seat in the front, averting his eyes from the now pissed off Jack. This afternoon wasn’t going to be pleasant for him. 'Sorry Ren, I might be a little late in going to your class and…may be the day you discover my personal tyrant.' He silently swallowed the knot that stuck to his throat as he could feel Jack’s stare pierce through him like a blade.

~

As Alric finished the last problem of the day’s assignment, he smiled in satisfaction of his answers but gazed at the ceiling when hearing the slow bell ring, signaling the end of the day. Unlike other schools around different countries, Japan was different. Instead of walking to your next period classes at the sound of a bell, the teachers would be dismissed and the next teacher would come in, teaching a completely different subject; the students would sit throughout the day without moving an inch unless having to go to the restroom. Alric stood up from his seat and handed in his finished assignment as he glanced around the class, noticing most of them were trying to copy off of one student for the rest of the answers. He quickly picked his bag up to take his leave but froze at the sudden shadow over-looming him. It was Jack. The tall boy bent low to his ear and whispered.

“Wait for me pale-boy if you know what’s best for you.” Jack nonchalantly walked to the teacher, handing in his work. Alric could have taken this chance to dart out the room, down the hall, down the stairs, down the lower hall all the way to Ren’s class but by the time he was halfway, he would be breathless and tired from a simple sprint. Running wasn’t one of his favorite hobbies. So, he stood there, as if dumfounded. He silently grunted when he felt himself being roughly shoved out the door. Other friends of his gathered behind him to prevent Mrs. Hayatsuni noticing the sudden rough play. Alric caught himself from falling when Jack shoved him again out the door. It was amazing every teen raced out the building, as if there was a plague within the school hallways for there weren’t many students lingering the hallways…except for the burnouts. Worry pumped through Alric’s veins as he was slammed into a locker in a dark corner. The entrance door to Mrs. Hayatsuni’s classroom was shut. She wouldn’t see him get beaten and prevent the fight that was about to begin.

“You think you can mock us by walking in late to prove how much of a teacher’s pet you are?” Jack sneered.

Alric frowned as he tried his best to stand his ground but knew it would fail miserably. “It’s not like I intended to become a teacher’s pet. It just sort of happens when you do what you’re supposed to do. I think you should try it some--”

Alric was cut short by a fist slamming into his jaw and clenched it tightly. He cringed in pain as he felt a lock of his hair being pulled to lift his face and flinched when feeling Jack’s breath upon his face.

“Shut the ******** up you ******** nerd. Nerds don’t have the right to talk back to us.”

'I’m going to get even more hurt after this…' Alric turned to them with a smirk as pride could be seen within his eyes. “And just who are you for me not to talk back to?”

Jack’s smirk fell as he gritting his teeth. “You b***h!” Without any more to say Alric yelped in pain as he felt Jack’s foot slam into the side of his ribs. Alric tried to scramble to his feet, intending to leave his bag behind but was no use as the others that surrounded him held his arms behind him as Jack did the honors in slamming his foot against Alric’s chest, intending to break a bone. After a few kicks Alric let out a scream but was covered by a hand. His rimmed glasses fell to the floor and Alric forcefully bent low and slide them into a corner to prevent it from breaking. If they broke, Ren would know an incident happened. He quickly bit the man’s hand that covered his mouth as he slammed his foot between Jack’s legs. It was a pathetic and a cheating way to escape a fight, but Alric figured there was no such thing as cheating in a fight when there were four against one; it was just an irrelevant fact. He quickly grabbed his messenger bag and glasses from the corner and took off down the hallway. A lot of people admired Ren so if he could just make it to his friend, everything would probably turn out fine. Not to mention he was pretty positive Ren would be able to take them out with his brute strength. Alric frowned at the thought of depending on his friend for support. It made him feel weaker than he already was. Not bothering to go down step-by step on the stairs, he quickly jumped over them and down the hallway. Before turning the corner to the hallway of Ren’s class he quickly stopped by the near restroom and locked it. He never understood why the doors had locks that could be locked from the inside but was thankful at the moment.

Sighing, Alric turned to the mirror and cringed at how roughed up he was. A smear of crimson could be seem from his lower right lip, his glasses were crooked upon his face and his uniform seemed as if he had been rolling upon the floor for quite some time. Alric rinsed the semi-wet crimson from his thin lips, fixed his tangled hair and fixed his uniform to the proper standard. It couldn’t be helped that his cheeks seemed a little scarlet from the sprint he had done but he would probably think of an excuse by the time he made it to Ren’s classroom. Satisfied in how he looked he turned his gaze away, missing the painted crimson upon his right shoulder sleeve. He pressed his ear against the door and assumed it was safe by hearing nothing but the ringing silence. Alric slowly unlocked it, afraid they were near the door and would hear the door unlock if he did it quickly. Knowing they were no where near the door or down the hallway, Alric hastily walked out the door and when turned the corner, quickly ran to Ren’s classroom, noticing the door was opened and Ren was waiting by the side of the door; probably waiting for him.

“Sorry I was late. I got caught up in something.” Alric huffed breathlessly as he glanced in the classroom. His forced smile fell as he noticed the teacher’s desk was empty. He averted his eyes to the ground, unable to stare at Ren. “Sorry…I’m assuming he already left huh?” Guilt began to fill his chest

As Ren ran, he looked over to Alric in question when he mentioned talking to Mr. Higgin's after school and telling him that the reason he was late was due to the fact that he was helping Alric with something. Ren frowned in distaste as he spoke up, "Nah, that's okay." Ren said, looking a bit troubled, "Mr. Higgin's will most likely just accuse me of bullying you into saying something in defense for me." He frowned, in obvious dislike for his teacher, "The old fart is out to get me, I'm telling you. He thinks that I forced you to be my friend, and that I'm only being friends with you to cheat on homework." Ren gritted his teeth at the mere thought of using Alric for his own personal gain. While he didn't admit it out loud very often, Ren deeply cared for his friend. Actually ... Ren thought. Alric is the only friend I have that I can trust fully... Ren smiled half-heartily. At the sudden sound of the bell, Ren cursed loudly, "Damn it! I'm late!" Ren nodded as Alric told him to wait outside his classroom for him after class.

Ren sighed in absolute dread as he parted from Alric and headed towards his class. Sometimes, he wished he had fist period with Alric, so that he wouldn't have to put up with Mr. Higgin's s**t every morning. It was like he meant to be late, but Ren was essentially a lazy person and rarely ever woke up to his alarm clock. In actuality, Alric almost always came to his house early in the morning and forced him to get his lazy a** out of bed. It was only recently that Alric had told him he needed to start depending on himself. Ren, of course, had reluctantly agreed to this. Ren halted suddenly and stared at the door before him in dismay. He did not want to have to attend this class, but if he skipped Mr. Higgins would mostly likely ask for him to be suspended. I really have no idea why the b*****d hates me; I have one of the highest grades in the ******** class ... he just thinks I'm some washed up punk a** for no reason. Ren sighed and reluctantly turned the knob, entering the classroom.

"Hiyoto!"
an outraged masculine voice shouted, causing Ren to simply lift his index finger to his ear and shove it in, drowning out the old man's voice as he lectured him.

"Shut it, old man." Ren growled, annoyed, "I get damn good grades in this class, who cares if I'm late?"

Mr. Higgin's sucked in a large amount of air and glared heatedly at Ren, "Who do you think you are that you can come in here and speak to me in such a manner, Hiyoto?" Mr. Higgins growled at Ren's defiance, "Get out of my classroom this instant!" his teacher yelled in absolute rage, "I don't care what you do, just get out of my classroom!"
Ren sighed, rolling his eyes and turned by his heal, exiting the classroom. Stupid b*****d. He thought, furrowing his brows in displeasure. Sighing in discontent, Ren leaned against the wall and waited eagerly for class to end. Honestly though, Ren thought. How the hell do I get myself into these situations? Ren frowned. Ah, well, I guess I'll just stick around here and wait for Alric. He smiled at the thought of his best friend. That guy is so likeable ... I just don't get it. Shrugging it off, Ren continued to wait for class to end. Before he even realized it, the bell sounded and all of the kids herded out of Mr. Higgins classroom. Some students gave him looks that ranged from disappointment to admiration. Ren just frowned. Though, he didn't miss the glare Mr. Higgins sent him as he exited and started walking down the hall to the teacher's lounge for his conference period.

Ren rested his head against the hallway wall and waited for Alric to arrive. After what seemed to be an eternity, Ren heard Alric's tired voice and snapped his soft ash-colored eyes onto the smaller boy. Ren immediately noticed that Alric seemed a bit disheveled as he rambled on, and narrowed his eyes. He scrutinized his best friend, and his eyes fell on Alric's right shoulder and widened in shock at the crimson smear, "What the?!" Ren exclaimed in shock as he grabbed Alric's arm roughly and jerked the small-framed boy closer to him so that he could better examine the crimson smudge. Ren narrowed his eyes and asked darkly, "Who did this to you, Alric?" If there was one thing Ren could absolutely not tolerate, was when people picked on Alric. He sparked something in him, and he had the urge to kill the person that would dare lay a finger on his best friend.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 12, 2007 5:20 pm

Alric gasped at Ren’s suddenly aggressiveness as he held in a yelp. His jaw tightened as he felt himself being pulled closer; Alric silently cursed himself for missing a spot when cleaning himself up as he averted his gaze away. Leave it up to Ren to sniff out something that was supposed to be a secret. It wasn’t like he could lie to his friend either. Lying would just result into trouble, and Ren always knew when he was and wasn’t lying; there was no point in trying to pass a lie now. Furthermore, Alric didn’t think it was even in him to even lie to begin with. He didn’t think he would be able to lie even if he wanted. Alric’s heart began to race as anger could be seen consuming his friend’s senses.
“I-It’s not wh-what y-you…” Alric clamped his jaw shut as he continued to keep his eyes averted from meeting his friends gaze. His terrified stuttering probably just fired Ren's emotions even more. Not good. Hot tears threatened to spill but Alric held them back. ’Idiot, this is no time let your hurt feelings of Jack bullying get to you. It’s only going to make the situation worse…don’t you dare allow a single shed of tear escape.’
Swallowing the tight knot that formed within his throat, he forcefully pulled away; guilt filled his chest, hoping Ren wouldn’t get hurt by that sudden movement. His head was low as he dared himself not to meet with Ren’s gaze. If he did, it would be all over and he would break down. It was almost the end of the year. It would be an entire year of Ren not knowing his personal interrogator and Alric planned on keeping it that way. If Ren did find out, the only thing that would probably come next for him would be a suspension slip. Ren already walked on very thin ice. Beating someone nearly half to death wouldn’t help that thin ice become thicker.
“No one did it to me!” Alric tried with all his might to be convincing and firm but knew Ren would be able to break through it. “I tripped by my own clumsiness. Besides…who cares if I have a personal interrogator? It’s not your problem. It’s not like I have one anyway….” Alric continue to stare down at the floor. Ren was probably thinking why he was staring at the floor so much but he wouldn’t be able to handle the guilt that would fill his heavy chest if he were to look through Ren’s determined glare. His jaw tightened as he could feel his elbow within his friend’s grasp somewhat tighten.

Ren instantly regretted his earlier actions of pulling Alric so roughly against him. But, just the thought of his friend being put in any type of danger made his blood boil. Ren wasn't the type of person that gave out his affection openly, however there were those few people, like Alric, that he cared for deeply. In a strictly platonic way, mind you. Ren gritted his teeth as he looked down at Alric, who seemed to be in an inner debate with himself. Unconsciously, Ren sought out Alric's eyes, he knew if he could just catch his gaze he'd be able to tell if he was lying for sure.

"I-It’s not wh-what y-you…" Alric stuttered out, his tone absolutely terrified. At this, Ren's heart wrenched, he could already see that tears were starting to form in his friends eyes, and that the atmosphere surrounding them had already started to grow more and more intense. Ren bit into his lip in frustration, causing it to bleed, his mouth filling with the metallic taste of blood. He ignored it, "Don't lie to me." Ren said in a soft tone, however his voice was still very dark. Something with in his chest constricted when Alric pulled forcefully away from him. and backed up slightly, his gaze still averted to the floor. Alric seemed very confused and indecisive as he told Ren that he should care if he had a person interrogator, even though he didn't.

Ren glowered darkly as he bit out, "I'd care if you had a personal interrogator, dammit!" He almost shouted, his voice full of anger towards the person that dare hurt his Alric. He'd make the pay dearly. Unconsciously, a cynical grin crept up onto Ren's face. Oh, how he'd enjoy the look of terror on their face as he smashed the b*****d's face to pieces. In one fluid motion Ren bent forward and cupped Alric's chin gently in his hand, tipping it upwards so that he was looking directly into Alric's eyes, "Tell me who did this to you, Alric." He said softly, "I'll get them back for you, I don't care what the ******** happens, I will make the bastards pay." He paused, to keep his voice from shaking, "How long?"
Suddenly, Ren was brought of his thoughts by the sound of loud laughter behind him and her turned to see who it was, his eyes still cold.

A wave of guilt engulfed Alric as his knees began to shake, about to fail below him at any given second. No matter how much he wanted anger and frustration to penetrate his heart, he couldn’t find himself to do so towards his friend for knowing his weakness. Ren knew how to get to him and what exactly would break his barrier of defense. Alric could feel himself hold his breath as he felt Ren’s delicate fingers cup his chin and gently hoist it up; instinctively Alric closed his eyes. He didn’t want become a mess in front of his best friend. He refused to look through his friend’s eyes and allow his defenses to be shattered into fractions. It’d been over ten years since Alric had first met Ren and here he was now on the verge of crying in his best friend’s arms. Alric swallowed hard, more than positive Ren’s hands upon him could feel his trembling body quiver in fear; unstable and vulnerable. Unable to hold his own weight up, Alric fell to his knees as he fell to Ren’s embrace for support. He clenched a bundle of Ren’s shirt within his palm as he choked on his words. He couldn’t hold it in any longer. There was no way he’d be able to hide anything from Ren. Who was he to hide something from the only friend who’d been by his side through everything?
“I-I’m sorry….It’s not your fault…please don’t do anything…you can get suspended...it’s almost the end of the school year…I don't want you to get suspended...I don't want you to get in trouble….please don’t do anything to them…I can handle them….it’s no big deal…they didn’t really do anything….it was only for a year…it’s not my fault I’m weak…it’s….I…” Hot tears dwindled through Ren’s uniform as Alric spoke whatever came to his mind. He knew what he had just said didn’t really make any sense but with Ren’s way of thinking, and probably angered Ren more now that he finally confessed it had been a whole year without him knowing something like this was going on. The only thing that would probably register in his thick skull would be ‘Someone has been beating me up during the whole school year badly to where they make me bleed = a.k.a kill the ******** b*****d and help Alric!!! Emergency!!! Emergancy!!! It's killing time!!!’ Regardless in knowing what his friend was thinking of, he realized he had been tightly embracing his friend, refusing to loosen his grip. No matter how much he wanted to let go, he couldn’t find himself to separate his knotted fist that locked Ren in between.
Hearing the loud and familiar laughs, fear and anxiety filled his chest and ran through his veins, turning his wide-eyed gaze at the familiar owner of the laughter. It was no one other than Jack's voice. Who else would still be in the building? He swiftly turned his fearing gaze to Ren as it suddenly turned into a pleading expression. “R-Ren p-please don’t!!! Y-You may not care what happens but I do! Please Ren! Please don’t do this, you need to finish this year! Please!” Alric cursed himself as he felt as if he was begging.
“Goddamn he was a ******** loser. That little ******** wimpy a** nerd took off like a bullet just when he got the chance to get away.” Jack laughed with his group of friends.
“I bet later on he’s going to become a transvestite. We better warn some people at clubs a transvestite is soon going to be comin’ in a couple years and to watch out for a queer-a** named Alric.” The group of boys laughed hard as the continued their way down the hall.
"Ahahahahaha, yea. i'll be sure to let them know. Can you believe that little pal-a** actually kicked me in the ******** balls. Who does he think he is? A girl? What kind of attack is that?" Jack's laugh grew more louder.
"Hey, next time lets treat him like a girl being harassed. I bet he'll get a freakin hard-on."
"Let's do it after school! i'll bring a camera! He'll definately be a queer then." The group continued to laugh.
Panic surged through Alric's veins. Ren had heard what they said. Not good. Alric tightened his grip upon his friend as hot tears silently flowed down his flushed cheeks. Alric tried to surreptitiously hide his cheeks. Knowing how pale he was, being hot in the cheeks probably looked awful on him, no matter how many girls thought it was absolutely cute or adorable he looked after he had worked out during Gym class with his flushed cheeks. “R-Ren…please…don't...” There was no point. Alric knew what was coming next but regardless he felt he had to try to help. There had to be a way to convince Ren to not get back at his bullies, even though Alric knew he would not regret seeing Jack's face covered in his own blood.

Ren kept the firm expression on his face as he looked at Alric's face, who had clenched his eyes close by this time. Now, however, Ren knew there was something wrong and that something had in fact happened to Alric. Suddenly, Alric's body started to tremble and he fell forward--Ren instinctively caught him, wrapping his arms around the small boy and hoisting him up so that he wouldn't fall onto the cold ground. Ren blinked and looked to his shirt in surprise as he felt Alric clench it and pull it towards him. Ren frowned, his heart wrenching at his best friends pain. I'll ******** kill who ever reduced him to this stage. He thought clenching his hand into a fist, his nails digging into his palms skin, causing him to bleed. His eyes widened a fraction when Alric began to speak, his voice very timid and soft. At first, Ren couldn't really make out what Alric was saying, but he did get the jest of it. Some b*****d had been bullying his friend without his knowledge for a whole ******** year! Ren growled angrily, "Why didn't you tell me?! Who cares if I get suspended?!" He demanded, absolute rage in his voice. He wouldn't forgive the bastards that did this. Hell, he wouldn't care if he had to send them to their grave. Ren gingerly lifted his hand and placed it on the back of Alric's head, running his fingers through the boys soft auburn hair as Alric cried, soaking Ren's shirt. Ren didn't mind, however.

From behind him, Ren suddenly heard a group of boys laughing and chattering loudly, he looked to see Alric's expression. His eyes were wide, and full of fear. Ren gritted his teeth and turned to glare wildly at the offending boys, "Keh." He growled as he saw Alric send him a pleading expression, but he ignored it--even at he begged him not to do anything. What kind of friend would he be if he just sat back and let the bastards walk by with out throwing a few deserved punches? As Ren listened to the boys talk his eyes widened in shock at what there were saying. He blood boiled even more so with hate for the boys that were fast approaching him. Ren clenched both of his fists and his eyes hardened. Those bastards! He thought, uncontainable rage flowing though him. Are they talking about ******** raping him and recording it?! That was it, he was going to make the sorry ******** pay dearly. He heard Alric begin to sob and it pulled at his heart-strings. Ren looked back at his friend as he said to him, "R-Ren…please…don't..." Alric pleaded with him.

Ren turned to look at Alric and smiled softly as he leaned forward and whispered lowly into Alric's ear, his hot breathe brushing against it, "Don't worry." He said, "I'll be fine." and with this said, Ren broke away from Alric, ignoring any attempt the boy made to stop him and headed straight for his friend's bullies. A smug grin spread across Ren's lips as he stopped in front of his friends tyrants--effectively stopping them in their tracks, "Hello there." He said darkly, "What do we have here? A couple of idiots?" He sneered, taking a step towards Jack and his friends, "Looks like you and you little cronies don't know whose friend you've messed with." Ren laughed bitterly, "Care to tell me who you were just talking about?"
