The Example
Okay, well I'll be setting up an example race here. Please don't post. <3
Your horse has stats. A maximum of 10 points for each stat. However many squares you have for each stat determines the number to get to roll.
We'll be using dear old Nick as an example.
You can see his stats. Well here's how it works. If I were to race Nick, I would get to roll the following for each stat:
Speed: 1-4 Strength: 1-8 Agility: 1-5 Defense: 1-7 Stamina: 1-5 Intelligence: 1-6
Each race must have at least 3 contestants. Each racer will roll once for their stats. An RP post must accompany this roll. At the end of all the rolling, each racer will tally up their own points and the one with the most points wins.
In each post, you must have the stat you are rolling for bolded. Once you have rolled you will edit your number into your post. The RPing will go in turns to make things simpler. You may not delete your posts if you get a bad roll.
Although this will be rare, in some races, for the sake of lengthier RP, each racer will get to roll twice for each stat. However, you must have an RP post accompanying each roll. Now, how it works. You will roll once for each stat, then double back. So it goes Speed - Strength - Agility - Defense - Stamina - Intelligence - Speed - Strength - Agility - Defense - Stamina - Intelligence. So in total you get 12 rolls, meaning 12 RP posts per person throughout.
There will be ways, eventually, to help your horse along if he/she has poor stats. There will not be a way to increase your stats other than winning races (unless we receive a big fat bribe xD), but there will be items to add +1 to the number you are allowed to roll.
The winners will receive 1-2 points for stat increase that they may add to their winner. The number for points received depends on how much competition there is in the race.
Gods and Goddesses cannot race at this point. Nor can wilds. Mustangs may race against Arabians.
Does it seem confusing? Well it shouldn't.
Watch!

Speed. 4
Shrill calls, children crying and the shrill ring of horses' cries. None of it bothered Nick. He stood at the starting line, quiet as anything, his ears only flickering toward each new sound briefly, as if to acknowledge them.((And blah-de-blah-blah and so on. The point here is not for me to demonstrate my RPing skills.))

In the interest of time and my sanity (and Nick's pride) I'm just going to cut down to Nick. The earlier posts were to give you all an idea of how things start. 3nodding
And if I make a mistake... Oh well. You get the idea. NO MISTAKE MAKING FOR YOU PEOPLE, THOUGH!

Nick:
Speed- 4 Strength- 4 Agility- 5 Defense- 6 Stamina- 5 Intelligence- 2 -------------------------- 26 points total.
And thus is the end of the race. Points will be compared and the winner announced, along with the number of stat points they will receive. The winner can place these stats anywhere, but they are not exchangeable, meaning they may only go to the winner.
