I have already started a string of posts in my journal that chronicles the events of 1045 as I know them. I think it would be a good idea to post them here as well since this is a guild for 1045ers. My first entry explains why I decided to write down the history of 1045, and I'll paste that entry right here:
"In Towns, at center square 001045, lives a community that I have been involved with for about a year now. I believe it is time to commit to paper (well, the Internet) the story of 1045 as told by me. However, before I write the chronicles, I will first tell you why I am compelled to write down the history of 1045 now.
Last year, I posted in my journal the story of why I originally joined Gaia, which was to create and interact in a guild that is currently running called Love Hina: Reflection of Harmony. While I am still involved in the guild, it has not really become what I was hoping it would become. This is not surprising; I knew there was a good chance that creating a guild here would not fulfill my purpose, which was to try and bring back the community and spirit of an Internet forum I call Hinalove.
Lucky for me, I found something else that has become my main reason for using Gaia: Towns. I love to meet new people on Towns. When I first started using Towns, I ventured to various zip codes, such as 001000, 001055, 001065, 001044, and, of course, 001045. It was not long before I established 1045 as my favorite place to go on Towns. This is probably mostly due to the fact that a girl named Zeal was almost always on there. Zeal was my best Gaia friend at the time. More about Zeal will come when I write the chronicles.
Recently, however, 1045 has undergone a change that I fear is for the worst. What was once a strong and flourishing community is falling apart. It really started when Zeal quit showing up at 1045 as much as she used to. What exactly is happening? Is this the death of a community, or is it just the passing of the torch from our generation to the next generation of 1045ers? Whatever it is, we must take action. If we do not act properly, then 1045 as we know it could very well perish. I first thought that bringing back Zeal was the only way to save 1045, but now I realize that there is another hope: the Yellow Daffodil Society.
The YDS is a guild that is dedicated to upholding the integrity and sense of community at 1045. At the moment, I am not a member of the guild, but I have requested to be accepted into the guild. According to JazzyMonkey, one of the guild's goals is to bring the old generation of 1045ers together with the new generation. I think this would be a great way to revatilize the community that is 1045.
Writing the story of 1045 down would be beneficial in the case that it is time for a new generation of 1045ers to take over. I think it would strengthen the spirit of community if they knew the history of the place. It's also a great way to make sure that the stories are never forgotten by those who were involved, such as myself. Over the course of the next week or two, I will, to the best of my knowledge, assemble a chronology of events and stories that have shaped the community of 1045, the spirit of which should never be forgotten. For those of you who happen to be outsiders just reading this for your own pleasure, I hope you find enjoyment in my words. Ladies and gentlemen, it is time to embark on a journey through the past of 1045, and maybe...just maybe...we will discover something that will help us decide what is best for 1045 as we head into the future!"
As you can see, this entry was made before I was accepted into the YDS.

My second entry tells what I know of the old generation of 1045ers, which isn't a whole lot:
"The people who are currently or used to be regulars at 1045 are divided into two generations, which we like to call the old generation and the new generation. To be honest, I do not know a lot about the old generation. They were regulars at 1045 long before I signed up on Gaia. However, I do know of three Gaians that were old generation 1045ers. Two of them are Goldmagnus and Arc Angellus. I am currently acquaintances with Gold, but I have not formally met Arc. I have heard Gold talk about Arc, though.
The third old generation 1045er is Lady Zeal, of whom I talked about in my last journal entry. While real life situations kept others from continuing to go to 1045 regularly, Zeal kept on showing up. This would prove to be vital to the future of 1045, and I will explain why in my next journal entry.
The other old generation regulars quit going to 1045 before I even started going there. However, some of them are still loyal to 1045 and will stop by every so often. Arc is one of those Gaians. The Yellow Daffodil Society is keeping them around so that, one day, the old generation may unite with the new generation to create the ultimate community. Whether this will happen or not, though, remains to be seen. If you want more information about the old generation, you will have to ask Goldmagnus. He is the only one from the old generation that still uses Gaia frequently."
Gold, if you or any other old generation 1045er wants to add something to this, feel free to do so!

This entry speaks of when I first started going to 1045 and the first 1045er I befriended, Lady Zeal:
"According to some information I've recently collected, I did not miss the old generation by much. In fact, it was probably only a matter of weeks between when the old generation regulars quit going to 1045 and I started going there. The only regular that was there when I started going to 1045 was Zeal. We quickly became friends. Though I had one other friend who came onto Towns a lot at the time, she was not a 1045 regular. I also quit talking to her after a couple months, so Zeal was the only close Gaia friend I had for the first few months I was on Gaia.
When I first met Zeal, she was dealing with a difficult breakup. She went out with a couple guys afterwards, but those relationships did not last. She was still hurting from breaking up with this one guy, even months after it happened. Through all of that, though, Zeal was the kindest, most caring person you'll ever meet on Gaia. She is a great listener as well. When we met on Towns, she would listen to a lot of stories I had to tell, and I can't thank her enough for just being a great friend during those times. Fortunately, I was not the only one who came to know about how friendly Zeal is. The old generation 1045ers knew her, and even some new generation 1045ers that came after me would come to know her.
Zeal was the bridge between the old generation and the new generation. If it was not for her, there's a good chance I never would have learned about the history behind 1045. I may have never even become a regular. Zeal was the torch bearer who, perhaps without even realizing it, brought about the new age of 1045ers that has come to be. I know that, without her, 1045 would be completely different today. More about Zeal to come..."

wow, this is pretty interesting. It could be cool to see what goes on in 1045 from the eyes of another. My only comment is I didn't know Zeal to be an 'old generationer' unless she went by another name back then. I have been on towns specifically in 1045 since about Nov 2005 and I don't remember seeing her until much later but then again, however I suppose I could see her as coming before the newer crowd. idk. sorry. Gold and arc can tell you, I ramble XD. You'll get used to it. Also, if you wanted to keep this topic as your own without comments, let me know and I'll delete this.

I actually thought Zeal came along later as well, but, according to Gold, Zeal started going to 1045 only a couple weeks after Gold started going there. Therefore, she must be an old generation 1045er. If anyone thinks this is inaccurate, though, then let me know. I do want an accurate account of what happened.

Odd. maybe I need to start paying more attention lol. I know I saw her there but never talked to her for a while, maybe that time was longer then I thought. But I suppose it makes sense though since the first time I saw her, a few other people knew her already. hmmm, oh well. Continue smile

Sorry, I have gotten a little lazy with this. sweatdrop This is when 1045 really started to become what it is today:
"There were those who passed through 1045 every now and then during my first few months as a 1045er. A couple of examples are Skitzo and Winter (Double U). However, these people couldn't really be considered "regulars." Zeal was really the only reason I went to 1045 so much the first few months.
I always liked meeting new people, even though I know I won't see a lot of them again in Towns. One night, though, I came across JazzyMonkey and sneakypinky. I remember one of the first things I learned about Jazzy was that she was in love with Ei Skotia. It would actually be about a month before I saw her again, but after I saw her the second time, she started showing up at 1045 a lot. We became friends. Though Sneaky was always with Jazzy at 1045, it would be a while before I got to know her. Jazzy and Sneaky were inseperable at the time.
Another regular that I should probably mention since she came at about the same time as Jazzy and Sneaky is Natsuki Inuzuka, who we refer to simply as Nat. She became quite the popular figure at 1045. However, the two that really kicked off the new generation of 1045ers are Jazzy and Sneaky. Everyone who came to 1045 afterwards came to know about the duo."

Yes, you probably thought this was dead, but Jazzy encouraged me to finish this, so I'm going to continue doing this. This entry is about the wedding place, aka alt 45:
" 1045 has not been just a popular spot for regs such as myself. Since it is conveniently located in the center of the 001000s square (the first square that shows up when you go to the directory), it has also been a popular spot for n00bs to come and put up topics, and when topics are put up, the place will immediately become swarmed with people you don't normally see at 1045 (though there are a few people that regularly show up when a topic is there; perhaps you could refer to these people as "topic regs.") This is one of the big problems that faces the 1045 regs, and we came up with a solution soon after Jazzy and Sneaky arrived on the scene.
It started when both Lady Zeal and Jazzy were married to their respective partners at 5 Barton 001145. Sneaky had a guild designed to hook couples up on Gaia, and she then established 1145 as the place where she would set up the weddings. Thus, 1145 became known as the "wedding place," and it quickly became the alternate place for 1045ers to go if 1045 was too crowded. It was initially a secret since n00bs don't typically go to 1145. The period when 1145 was a secret place that only well-established 1045 regs went to was definitely the "Golden Age" of 1045 because there was a strong sense of community at the time, and we all knew who belonged to the group that knew about the wedding place and who didn't.
However, the wedding place did not stay a secret forever. Nowadays, 1145 is more commonly referred to as the alternative 1045, or alt 45 for short. It is still mostly 1045ers that go to alt 45, but there have been topics popping up there lately, and people show up that we have never seen before. The fact that alt 45 is not a secret anymore is not a problem. It is merely a reflection of how the community has changed since the Golden Age. The downfall of 1045 will be explained in future entries."

This is when people started turning against 1045:
"It was about this time that Lady Zeal started getting involved with a guy I shall refer to as Skar. Skar wanted to avoid 1045, and, because of this, Zeal quit going to 1045 as well. This was a big loss for 1045, but I wouldn't say it contributed to the downfall of 1045.
A slew of people came at around the same time and became 1045 regs. These people include BioCytec, Rebel, Lulu, AngelsPillow (who had actually been around a long time under different names, but became a big-time reg under the Pillow name), Winter angel Chi, Blazen Raven, Angel Serene, Yosef, Mephistopheles, and Ninja Zero. I'm sure there are more that I cannot name off the top of my head. It was also around this time that some of the old generation 1045ers made a return to 1045, especially Goldmagnus. In fact, a few of those names I listed might have been old generation 1045ers at one point. There's so many regs now that it is difficult to keep track of who has been around a long time and who just started going to 1045.
With all these people hanging out in the same place, it is inevitable that conflict is going to arise. It got to a point where there was so much conflict, it was difficult to keep up with all the drama that was going on. This tarnished the reputation of 1045, and even some of the regs turned against it. One example of this is Chaos Rainbow, who was a 1045 reg for a while before going off to 001919, which is another popular spot for people to hang out. It always disheartened me whenever I heard a reg say that they didn't like 1045 and they wanted to quit. I felt like 1045 had such a friendly culture at one point, but when the number of regs exploded, it just got out of control.
Getting back to Zeal, the fact that she was gone certainly didn't help things. She was not to blame for any of this, but Jazzy and I agreed that her return could help make things right again in the land of 1045. At one point, I thought that she was the only hope for bringing peace back to 1045. Would she come back? In the next entry, I will discuss recent attempts to make 1045 a better and friendlier community."
