ok, I want to know what everyone in here truly believes or does not believe. As an agnostic I question the god(s) of common monotheistic an polytheistic religions, and I question it because I find bogusness in a lot of their teachings and am trying to find my own answer as to whom the higher power really is. I will like to start off by defining what I know I believe so far: My belief is close tho that of Buddhism in the sense that we are all connected and one, we are one with the universe around us, we are all just energy. And all that we say and do effects everyone and everything because we are all one. I also believe that the higher power is our essence, our energy. For example, the mind is a powerful thing, and when we pray and hope the energy that we are all a part of can cause things to move in your direction if your will is strong enough. As humans we only use an average of 10% of our brain imagine what could occur if we managed to tap into just 1% more. The higher power is within us, within all of us. Prayer is all about will power and the weak get left behind. We are not praying outwards we are praying inwards. The difference between my belief and Buddhism is that even the negative things that occur happen in our favor. The energy balances itself out so the more negative action the more positive action will occur. This belief also is close to that of Satanism, but satanists are so tight with space and are all about mocking other religions and being mean to people that don't deserve their respect, for goodness sake it is an actual satanist sin to be ignorant, lol. I love questions because they help me learn more myself, and negative comments are always welcome, and if you feel similarly I want to know how and what are the differences.

I agree, mostly.
I believe in a god, but I have ideas of an agnostic believer.
To lay in out simply, I believe something until someone can prove it wrong, beyond any doubt.

Yeah... the Brain 10% thing, wrong. We may not use all of it consciously, but close enough to all of it is constantly processing and organizing information while at the same time running the humongously complex systems of our bodies and everything else. Our brains are pretty busy things actually.
Now, about beliefs. Think about how much we, as humans, actually know and understand about the nature of things. Our feeble few senses alone give us hardly that much information, and though we invent tools to help us be able to learn what alone we could not, the more we learn, the more we see that we completely do not understand. With our tiny human amount of knowledge, it seems to me that we cannot in any way prove, disprove, or even start to talk about such huge things as "god/s" and whatnot. Our brains/minds are unreliable. Complex yes, but that complexity allows all sorts of processing errors, and what we think and perceive is very conditioned by our memories and past experience, and also by what we simply expect to see or not see. What we know is tiny, and that tiny bit it subject to so much twisting and tangling. Nobody can make any such grand claims that they so often like to. We know nothing. You cannot prove or disprove anything, you (and I) know next to nothing. So, my stance in religion and beliefs is, complete neutrality. I'm not an atheist, not a theist. I simply live how I think I ought to.

I believe the government funded educational system is there to keep individuals from critical thinking. never let school get in the way of your learning. I think children should be allowed to be educated in what they're good at and what they enjoy from day 1. if you try to put a scientist, bilinguist, historian, musician, artist, athlete and engineer all into the same brain, the kid ends up unhealthy and a workaholic for the rest of their lives

They don't become workaholics, they become lazy and bitter to doing any sort of work or learning, after having it pounded into their skulls constantly.

I find this question easier to answer when faced with a topic in relevance to one or more of my beliefs.
This is what comes to mind:
Existential Nihilist Agnostic Asexual (in more ways than one)
I usually can't match a name to my beliefs in the first place.
