People are always saying that anime is better or vise versa. I, personally, watch anime mroe than I read manga. Simply because I have the anime channel, but I have read some mangas. The only reason I don't watch both is because sometimes the manga is completeley different from the anime, which confuses me. @.@ Hm, but sometimes the manga is better and sometimes the anime is better, it just depends on the anime in general. *Nod-Nod* Now what do you think?

If you ask me they are pretty much both the same thing. Anime is manga only in TV forum and manga is anime only in book forum. It's the same styles of drawing. Same text same everything but one is written as a book the other written as a TV show. Personaly I like reading the manga's more than anime but this is only because the manga's are written for the REAL writer of the books. It's all from them, but in the anime they leave out things add new things, and I'd just rather hear what the real writer did with it than what some random person wanted to do with it to maker it so called 'better' for what ever reason.

Yeah i agree with why Stary's reason. That's my reason for reading manga too. Some Anime they mix it around or cuts some of the things in the Manga when it's in Anime.

I agree with Stary as well! Like, DNAngel is a perfect example. The manga is pretty good but in the anime they just ruined it! ...The voice acting wasn't very good either...

Yup yup. Another good example being a manga called Chrono Crusade. I don't know if you've heard of it but its only 8 manga's long and they made the anime 24 ep. long. Which is retarded and they hall a whole bunch of fillers, the manga is by far better one because they aren't milking it for money to make it longer and two because it gets right to the point and even the side stories have meanings to the main plot.

Fillers make me angry. I mean, just play re-runs or something. There is no need to make more episodes when they're not in the original plot. Rawr!

I no I really hate fillers. Most of the time they are purely dumb. There is rarely any good fillers that are worth the time.

Have you guys read "Wallflower" AKA "perfect girl evolution"? Well they made it into an Anime....it was bad...very bad...And then there's "fruit Basket", they didn't even finish it. -_-

For me, I guess it depends on the series. I haven't read "Full Moon wo Sagashite" yet, though I've seen the series and loved it. I'm currently reading the fruits basket manga (and waiting in anticipation for the 17th book to come out in the US) and I've seen part of the anime. The anime just doesn't compare to the manga. Like lilipepper said, they didn't even finish it, not really. They didn't introduce all the necessary and important characters and stuff like that.
Though, a friend of mine is somehow VERY convinced that they're still continuing the anime in Japan... I have a feeling that she's wrong, but she could be right. I dunno.

I read manga more than I do watch anime...because it counts towards 25 books in school. But sometimes if a whole series came out, I'd watch the anime. But not too often. Manga usually is made before Anime anyways, so that's why they almost never finish the anime series. I can stand the fruit basket Manga...but the anime...I have to turn it off...I can't watch it...I can't..I can't darn it. The voices just, they make me twitch....Asomangadow, I don't think I spelt it right, but I can't even stand the manga...Manga to me is better than Anime.

Yeah I agree, I'm mush more af a manga person. Most of the people I know are manga people more than anime people but suprisingly now that I think of it I know quite a few people who a split between both anime and manga where the take in quite a lot of both.
