And all I have to say about it is... It had better have been only a joke match... CP Munk/Retail Dragon/Ken The Box vs. The Sharecropper/Rorschach/Darkness Crabtree...

CHIKARA is awesome, watch a full show...or download a match with a good rating. I'm about to sit down to watch Night 1 of the King of Trios Tournament, myself.

Well I just found this match while searching CP Munk on dailymotion, because I had just watched a CM Punk match. I can't download a match right now, because I am on a friend's computer. Maybe I will when I get home.

The promotion does have 'fun' gimmicks though, so if that's not your thing you should look for another promotion. There is a team called Los Ice Cream who are...well, Ice Cream Cones...and The Colony is a team of Ants. So on and so forth, but CHIKARA also has awesome matches. Look up matches involving Delirious or Jigsaw.

I love 'fun' gimmicks, and right now I'm going though Chikarapro.com, and I am actually seeing a lot of wrestlers that I recognize from other promotions, such as Delirious, Eddie Kingston, Double C and Chris Hero, Hallowicked, Mike Quackenbush, and Shane Storm. Also, this years Young Lions Cup looks pretty good. I only really know two of the wrestlers in it. Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz, because I saw them wrestling for 3XW before they got suspended.

Eddie Kingston annoys me in CHIKARA, he's face and sometimes it seems like he's trying a bit too hard to be the fan favorite. He's awesome in CZW but in CHIKARA, I'm just hoping that when he comes back from his injury he'll return to the heel role.

Well, I just watched another CHIKARA match, and it was better than the last one. That's because it had Super Dragon and B-Boy in it though. Dragon/B-Boy vs Mokujin Ken and Wonder Wo-Man... He scares me...

Los Ice Cream FTW!!!
I'm not a huge fan, but I'll watch a CHIKARA show every now and then. They're pretty good. I'm not a big fan of the small ring in front of about 5 people cause there's almost no heat from the crowd.

I'm not a big fan of the small ring in front of about 5 people cause there's almost no heat from the crowd. I like the ring size (reminds me of Wildside) and the crowd size has never bothered me. CHIKARA is my second most watched Indy, first being CZW of course. Although it's place may be threatened in the next few months, this is like the summer of new promotions, and some of these new feds are looking pretty spiffy.

Two words: Larry Sweeney.
CHIKARA is great for those wrestling fans with a sense of humor who miss the good ol' days of kayfabe. In a lot of ways, it's ironic that they can draw such big names (Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Milano Collection AT, etc.) yet wrestle in such tiny venues in front of only like a dozen or so people. It's also ironic how many CZW guys are involved! It's certainly not for everyone, and they're always going to have a very small, dedicated audience, but I hope they can keep it going!

They draw the big names because the big names were made in CHIKARA and for some reason wrestlers brought up in CHIKARA have a loyalty to the company, which is rare in the world of wrestling. and so many CZW guys are involved because CHIKARA is the under-league of CZW. It's where their students study (CZW-CHIKARA Wrestling Factory). I love the small venues though, I was getting a kick out of all these huge names from Japan and Mexico using a middle school chair as a step off the stage. I'm also a mark for the iddy-bitty ring.
