What do you think about his writings?
his sci-fi novels...
his nonfiction...
his lectures, especially about global warming...

after reading the sphere, the Andromeda strain, Jurassic park, and 5 sick men and many of his lectures, i bought a collection of all his works so far...

he has a PhD but what do you think is his scientific merit? i hate reading science fiction written by people ill informed in science.

I loved the book sphere, and next. I wouldn't count his scientific work in the book quoteworthy, but the ideas are pretty solid. I want to read state of fear

he has an MD from Harvard. He also did some laboratory research at Scripps. I'd say he is most familiar with biomedical science..and this is very evident in jurassic park.

He is also familiar with the clinic

I've read three of his books (Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Timeline) and loved them. He has an interesting way of looking at science and related issues. I plan on reading some of his other books, at some point.

I found the writing style of The Andromeda Strain to be clunky and actually frustrating for the reader. Sometimes those experimental styles don't work out all that well.

Sphere I also didn't much care for.

I really enjoyed a lot of his other works, even Timelines and Airframe were good. The Jurassic books were and are my favorite of his works.
