Discuss this pairing here.
Since I first saw Fruits Basket and I saw how close they were together, I found them so cute together. They treat each other perfectly and are just.. so sweet together!

yeah they're both adorable, and yeah Momijji does love her romantically but Tohru doesn't.

Thats what I think as well. Well besides the fact that Momijji loves her. But luckily he's a good kid, and won't steal her from Kyo unless he totally messes up or ends up not with her.

I guess I have some minor spoilers~
Later in the series, though, when Momiji grows, like, a foot and starts wearing the boy's uniform, he starts to try to get their relationship to go from sibling to romantic.
But I like this pairing. I don't care if it's one-sided, I still like it. I just feel so sorry for Momiji. He's such a cutie, and has to lose his first love..... I wanna hug him. ><

I mean yeah its hard not being able to be with the person you love, but I think Momiiji will pull through. I'm trying to decide if i like him better as a cuddly hyper midget, or the matured teenager although he's not as happy as a teenager.

I see them more as friends than lovers. To be fair, I do like it. I think it's important for a character like Momiji to have an unrequited love, so he can grow from the experience and mature. I think Momiji and Tohru are very similar characters, and I prefer Tohru with Kyo.
