I am completely aware that this is Emmanuella's sub-forum, so am I allowed to start a new topic? I don't know! Please don't yell at me... crying Anyways! What scares you the most? It could be the dark, death, failure, or a much smaller thing like bugs.
I am terrified of spiders. If I see a spider bigger than my thumb nail I will scream extremely loud and run about a mile away without stopping. Then, yesterday I was in a parade because I'm in a fife and drum corps. We have a colorgaurd section (ME!!!), a fife section, and a drum section. We play music, march around, wear 15 lbs. of wool (here's a picture: The guy in the front with the mace is the drum major. He's the most important person in the corps he tells the fifes and drums what to do, what song to play, when to march, when to stop, etc. His name is John, he's cool. http://info.detnews.com/dn/joyrides/2001/libertyfest01/bugle1.jpg) We are in parades espceially around the fourth of July. And we go out east in July (on tour) and see a lot of historical sights.
Back to the point. When in uniform you don't talk to anyone who isn't in the corps, you don't smile or give a public display of affection, etc. It's very military like. We were getting to where our place was in the parade. We were right next to like 20 clowns. As a joke I grabbed my buddy Peter and hid behind his back going, "AAAAAAAA!!! THE CLOWNS ARE GOING TO GET MEEEE!!!" So this kid Jacob starts waving at one and goes "Hey! Yeah You! Mister Clown! She wants a hug!" and he pointed at me. So, he comes over and almost tackled me and I'm like "AAAAAAAAAA!!! GET IT OFF!!!". HE finally stopped hugging me because my buddy Teresa hugged him. and he finally left. Jacob got in trouble for a public display of affection and I kicked him in the shins pretty hard. The only good thing that came out of it was the guy I have a crush on came over and put his arm around me saying he was sorry it happened he doesn't like clowns either. SO I talked to him for a while and it was niiiiiiiiice.

Haha, yes of course you can start threads here! I was worried that no one was, so I'm very glad you did!
Hm, what scares me the most is... I don't know really. I'm odd in that I'm not afraid of insects or heights... I suppose I'm scared most of what people think of me.
Haha, had a good time in the end then?XD

*voted for 16+ because it was the funniest answer* XD;
Haha, honestly though, I get easily spooked by several things...large insects and spiders (I'm probably more scared of cockroaches than spiders though), clowns...sometimes, a little bit of height (I approach windows and balconies very cautiously if I'm high up), large animals with teeth...actually small animals with teeth too...I hate rats x_x;
I used to freak out even at small insects, but I've gotten a little numb now since they're like...everywhere. sweatdrop

Is it true that they are like impossible to kill? There was one in my Language Arts class and all the girls (including myself redface ) were spazzing out going "OMG!!! KILL IT!!! KILL IT!!! KILL IT!!!" It was like the size of my fist so one guy sick of the screaming stands up and stomped on it and there was this sick crunching sound so now everyone was screaming "EEEEEWWWWWW!!!" it was still moving. And yeah my clown incident turned out alright in the end mrgreen . Speaking of clowns, my aunt took me and my brothers to a circus once when I was about 10 and my little brother was 6. He was pretty short and we were trying to find our seats. My aunt was dragging him by his hand and said "DON'T YOU DARE LET GO OF MY HAND!" so we're walking along and this clown comes behind him and taps him on the shoulder and puts one finger to his lips telling him to be quiet and motions for him to let go of her hand. He did so and the clown put two of his fingers in her hand. So we're still walking everyone but my aunt aware of what's going on. So, the clown starts tugging on her sleeve like he needed something and she turns around and she probably shattered all the windows from there to France. It was hilarious.

I don't know how grades are where you live, but where I live it's sort of like this: Age 4-5: Pre-school Age 5-6 Kindergarden Age 6-7 beginning elementary school (grades 1-5) after fifth grade you go to a different school. Ages 10-11 ending elementary school beginning middle school(grades 6-8 ). Ages 14-15 ending middle school beginning high school(grades 9-12). Ages 18-19 ending high school beginning college hopefully.
I just got out of middle school. I used to go to is super old one, our vice-principal went to it. I got mad because it is filthy, there aren't enough lockers, and some of it seems to be falling apart, and it has no airconditioning, etc. And they're remodeling it all this summer when I won't be attending next year. They had a cockroach problem especially in the oldest rooms. I've never seen a rat that wasn't being sold as a pet before. My friend has a pet rat and I think it's kind of creepy.

Cockroaches are hard to kill, definitely, but not impossible. But they're so large and never fails to freak me out...and it's worse that some types of them can FLY. Ugh ugh UGH. Good thing there's no cockroaches in Canada (at least I've never seen one here), but they are very common in southeast Asia ><

Ok, I'll tell you about my school. Only year sevens get lockers, the least I say about the toilets the better (you don't want to know what ends up on the walls or hidden beneath the bins and the boys toilets constantly flood (not that I've ever been there....)). Generally our school is a bit of a dump, they've spent loads of money buying Smart boards and LOADS of CCTV cameras that we're constantly out of glue, scissors and basic classroom supplies. If you walk around the Warden's Lawn you either get a)bushed (i.e. shoved into this huge hedge) b) choke to death by the walking chimneys of the smokers or c) wet as there are always huge puddles there. Seriously, it floods half the time and you get little year sevens kicking and splashing at each other.
Oh, yes... And you don't want to go up the field... no one wants to know what goes on over there...
Here you have play group from age 3/4, then primary school from 5-11, secondary school from ages 11-16 and then VIth form (non-compulsory, so not many people go. There's a great apprenticeship scheme in my area so lots of people take that.) from ages 16-18. And then university; if you want to pay £3000 top up fees PER YEAR! IT'S RIDICULOUS!!! BLOODY BLAIR!! Although somehow I doubt Brown would do much about it anyway...
I'm going to VIth form this September, it should be most good! Yay! I have ended compulsory education for ever! Down with the National Curriculum!
Oh, yeah an EWW! Flying cochroaches? Even worse *shudder*

Down with the National Curriculum! Oh, yeah an EWW! Flying cochroaches? Even worse *shudder* I think your school is worse off than mine. The bathrooms sound particularily bad. At my school I don't think people use them for their intended purpose but to write I love _____ on the walls or So and so is a _____ and they are just filthy. The school no longer allows students to leave class during the class because they have had numerous occasions where some idiot would smoke in the bathroom. The scary part is all the students are under 15. My brother (we're furternal twins) says the men's room smells like second hand smoke, has leaking toilets, no mirrors, empty soap dispensers, and an uneven floor. Cockroaches can fly now? That's just creepy...I thought they just walked around or could stick to walls or ceilings like spiders.

Woah, I'm glad the high school I went to had perfectly clean bathrooms except for the scribbles on the stalls, of course. There was a designated area outdoors nearby the fields of the school that we termed the "smoking pit" for students who can smoke so the indoors are kept safe and smoke-free.
Some types of cockroaches do fly. It's quite nasty. >>;

Lucky...I know you have to be 18 or older to buy cigarettes but some how people under that age get their hands on them. I wish our school was smoke free. Isn't second hand smoke just as dangerous as first hand smoke?
More of my randomness: I mentioned my clown incident and how it was okay because the guy I like talked to me. We were invited to the same party I knew he got invited because I heard him talking about it to a friend (I'm not a stalker.). So, I'm thinking YESSSSS!!!. It started at 4 and ended at 8. I left at 8:45 and he arrived just then so I'm like NOOOOOOO!!! I said hi to him though so I'm like YAY!!!

One'd had to be at least 18 (or did they raise it to 21?) to buy cigarettes here too, but the legal smoking age is 16, I think. I'm a little fuzzy about the exact ages.
And yes, second hand smoke is quite bad...it lingers in the air for hours and and is a known cause for cancer.

Hm, yeah. This is why Britain is going smoke free from July the 1st!
Oh, unfortunate! I went to a party last night, it was good. Well, I say good... Let's just say I can tick off a few more from my experiences list. But yeah, I was proud of myself that I was quite sober until we all got into bed. It all went downhill (well... actually, I shall restrain myself from making a comment here ) from there.
Interesting night, to say the least.

It's be nice for America to be smoke-free but then America seems to have a lot of problems. It'll be a while before that happens. My state is trying to get a law passed so restaurants must be non-smoking. A good number already are (I'd guess 45% of restaurants in my state) the others have non-smoking and smoking areas but the second-hand smoke wafts towards the non-smoking section. It bugged me because the last time I went to a smoking/non-smoking restaurant I sat in the non-smoking section and we were somewhat close to the smoking section when I got home all my clothes smelled like smoke and I had some trouble breathing. But I felt fine the next day.
I'm not sure America would take it quite well if the government tried to pass a law banning smoking. In 1919 they banned alchoholic beverages in America (smart right?). There were a lot of riots and people began smuggling rum from the caribbean, whiskey from Canada, and wine and beer from Europe. If they banned smoking something similar might happen.

Yes, indeed. That's one of the problems, like when Tzar Nicolas banned alcohol it was one of the factors towards the Bolshevik revolution. People just don't like having their little pleasures banned.
Do you live in California then? I heard they had quite a number on non-smoking policies, which mildly surprised me.
