PG-ish?? Part II and beyond PG-13
Notes: I do not claim these characters, they belong to CLAMP! This is my first EVER fan fiction for any fandom. Some spoilers. This is loosely based on my upcoming fancomic. While in my fancomic the original fight is in a previous chapter, I didn't really want to write it out here, so I kind of hinted as to what it was about.. I will update this with the newer chapters.

Making Up

"You look depressed, Watanuki-kun. Have you slept?"

"What?"

"It's been almost a week since you've talked to Doumeki-kun. Did you get into a fight?"

"Kind of," he simply replied, wondering how he could actually get in a fight with a man that rarely ever finished his sentences.

"Do you miss him?"

"What no! How could I miss a jerk like that!" And with that, Watanuki had gone into a long speech about all the random things he said he hated about Doumeki, whether they be valid or not, then finally he asked Himawari, "What would make you think that?"

She pointed at the bento boxes he had been carrying with him that day and said, "You still make three bentos everyday."

Watanuki blushed. He thought a minute about how to respond to what she had said, and probably couldn't help but sound ridiculous anyway, "Well, I still owe him for a lot of things, I thought maybe he'd at least come at take it at lunch. But he seems to be avoiding me like the plague. And good riddance to him too! Now that I can spend time with Himawari-chan!"

Himawari didn't seem to hear a word he was saying, because less than halfway through his little speech, a friend had come up to her and they were already deep in conversation. His fanboying over Himawari had seemed to go unnoticed.

After the school day had ended, Watanuki and Himawari began their walk. It was silent most of the way, and slightly awkward, but finally Himawari broke the silence, "Are you sure you don't miss him?"

"Why would I!" Watanuki exclaimed, going off on yet another rant.

"Well," she pointed behind him, and sure enough, they were right in front of the shrine where Doumeki lived. The shrine wasn't exactly on the way to Yuuko's shop, and he really hadn't needed to come by this way, but why had he?

He looked back at Himawari, not able to come up with some sort of excuse, all he said was, "Um..."

"I knew you missed him! Watanuki-kun and Doumeki-kun are such good friends!" Himawari exclaimed.

Even though she was just so cute, Watanuki could not get over the fact that she was so wrong, "We are NOT friends!"

Himawari seemed to ignore that outburst, and moved on to say, "You know, you should really tell him how you feel."

"About what?" Watanuki asked.

"You two seem to have a lot to talk about, I will leave you two alone," Himawari said with a smile and a wave.

"What?"

Watanuki turned around, and sure enough Doumeki was standing at they gate of his shrine, that same expressionless look on his face as always. But even with the same even face, Watanuki could tell that the taller boy was irritated, and probably angry.
He stared at the archer for a moment, not sure what to say.

"Why are you here?" Doumeki asked in an even tone. How could he sound so calm at this moment? And Watanuki still had not come up with that excuse yet.

"I was just on my way to Yuuko's, and I stopped to drop this bento off," he said, handing the box left over from lunch to Doumeki. The boy nodded, taking the box. He didn't believe Watanuki, as usual.

"Is it true?"

"Is what true?"

"You missed me?"

Watanuki looked away to hide his blush, "I did NOT miss you."

"Oh."

A smirk found it's way on to the archer's face, he obviously did not believe Watanuki, and as if they were still on the conversation from a week ago he finally said what he had wanted to to Watanuki, "I am not interested in Kunogi."

"What? Then who?"

"Moron," Was all Doumeki said, as he turned around to walk back to his chores.

"Wait."

"Hnn?"

Doumeki turned back around, and their gazes met. They stared for a few minutes, as if sending some sort of telepathic messages back and forth to each other.

It was Doumeki that finally broke the silence, "I want Inari sushi for lunch tomorrow."

The expression on Watanuki's face changed from bewilderment to anger.

"Idiot! I DO NOT DO REQUESTS!"

As routine, Doumeki's fingers were already in his ears, and a smirk on his face. Things were back to normal again, after a week. It had taken a week, and he hadn't had to do anything, except give Himawari a nudge in the right direction.

"You want me to answer that question now?"

The sudden question caught Watanuki off guard, and he realized he had no idea what Doumeki was talking about.

"What question?"

"You asked me who I was interested in."

Watanuki blushed again, then finally began yelling, " I DON'T CARE WHO YOU'RE INT-" He stopped mid sentence, looking at Doumeki.

"Stop looking at me like that. You're creeping me out."

"Sorry."

"You better be!" Watanuki yelled, followed by a deep sigh. He looked at the ground, suddenly feeling very awkward, and still blushing. He felt a hand on his shoulder, and he dared not turn around, knowing Doumeki's face would only be inches away from his head. He could even feel the archer's breath on the back of his head. A chill went down his spine, and he could feel his heart quickening it's pace. How could just a touch from Doumeki leave Watanuki in a complete mess?

Before he realized it, the other boy's arms had encircled him, hugging him from behind. He was glad Doumeki could not see his face right now, because it felt so hot, and he was sure he looked like he could be related to a tomato.

"D-Doumeki, What are you doing?"

"Hugging you."

"I can see that! But..."

"Don't ask stupid questions."

Watanuki squirmed in Doumeki's grasp, and the taller boy finally let go.

"Kunogi said we needed to talk."

Watanuki nodded, she had said that but, "There's nothing to talk about. We already talked."

"Do you hate me?"

"What?" Watanuki sat down, and only seconds later Doumeki did the same.

"Do you hate me?" the archer repeated.

Watanuki shook his head. His hand now reaching for his right eye; Doumeki's eye. Doumeki removed Watanuki's hand, caressing the smaller boy's check, and turning his chin to look up at Doumeki. Watanuki was unprepared for the kiss, his eyes growing wide on impact. He tried to protest, but Doumeki's tongue was already in his mouth. Watanuki relaxed and gave in. He couldn't be enjoying this! No, this was DOUMEKI! Why would he enjoy a kiss from Doumeki!? Slowly, his eyes closed, and he could feel himself shyly meeting the archer. What had come over him?

Poison

There are two phrases that are considered to be the hardest things to say to someone; the first being 'I'm sorry," and the second being 'I love you". And if it is so hard to tell someone that you are in love with them for so many reasons - including rejection, and fear that they might already have a significant other or even like someone else - it must be even harder to tell someone of the same gender that you love them.

And that was just the problem that Doumeki Shizuka was facing at the moment. He sat under a tree in the school yard with Watanuki Kimihiro and Kunogi Himawari, eating their bento lunches like they did every day, of course in different locations each day. He was glad Watanuki wasn't ignoring him after what had happened the previous day, but it irritated him to no end that the other boy either refused to talk about it, or was just pretending that it didn't happen. It must be because of Kunogi, at least, that is what Doumeki thought.

He kept looking toward Watanuki, and each time Watanuki noticed Doumeki's stare, he would blush and turn away, but he wouldn't say anything. Why? Even on the walk to Yuuko's shop, Watanuki dodged the subject. Did it embarrass him? He wondered if Yuuko had found out about it the night before and teased Watanuki about it. That would probably be a good reason for Watanuki to keep quiet about it, and it would most definitely explain his embarrassment. He also probably blamed yesterday's occurrence on Yuuko too.

Doumeki sighed as they reached Yuuko's shop, Watanuki not having said a word during the entire walk, surprisingly enough. He looked back at Doumeki, then let his gaze shift downwards, toward the ground.

"I only have to cook dinner for Yuuko tonight, do you want me to make extra for you?" Watanuki asked, breaking the silence. Doumeki could tell he was blushing, and he was tempted to kiss Watanuki right there, but it didn't seem to be the right time.

Doumeki nodded, but didn't say anything. He didn't expect it to be this weird between them after their first kiss, and he was actually starting to regret it. He wished he knew what Watanuki was thinking right now, but for some reason the usually emotionally boy seemed to be unreadable.

"Alright, well see you later then," Watanuki said, walking through the gate and across the yard to Yuuko's shop. Doumeki didn't leave until he could not see Watanuki anymore, and even then he lingered a few moments more, hoping Watanuki would run back out and embrace him. Of course, that didn't happen.

He walked home, and did his homework, followed by chores around the shrine. It was starting to get dark, and he wondered what was taking Watanuki so long. It was almost 8pm already, and he had walked Watanuki to Yuuko's shop at least three and a half hours before. Something was wrong, he realized.

He picked up his bow, and ran out of the temple grounds to the street, running the familiar route towards Yuuko's shop. When he reached the shop, Yuuko told him that Watanuki had left about an hour prior to his arrival, and thought Watanuki had gone home. Without even a word of thanks, Doumeki ran from the shop and down the road towards Watanuki's very empty apartment. Where was he?

There was a flash, and a vision came through his right eye. He could see and odd looking spirit-creature of sorts, but from the surrounding, he realized that the vision was at the park. That was where Watanuki was right now.

He ran as fast as he could to the park. His heart was racing, and he was dripping sweat. That moron Watanuki, making him worry like this. If he kept going off on his own like that he was going to get himself killed one of these days, and Doumeki would never be able to forgive himself for that. He would not let anything happen to Watanuki!

Watanuki was running as well, his gaze behind him, and not looking forward. Before he realized it, the smaller boy had slammed into him, and would have fallen to the ground if he had not caught him.

"Doumeki!" Watanuki said, obviously glad to see him. He looked back behind him, and the weird creature was only a few yards away. Doumeki let go of Watanuki, pulling the smaller boy behind him, then aiming the bow at the creature. He could see the creature, and he was sure it was only because of his right eye. He mentally thanked Watanuki, even though it was his doing that had granted him this vision.

The creature was too fast for him, and he yelled at Watanuki to run, but the boy was frozen to the spot, terrified. The archer yelled out as sharp fangs sank into his flesh, and Watanuki gasped in horror. He pushed the reptilian-like beast off of him, quickly aiming his boy and finally shooting, as it lunged for another attack. The invisible spirit arrow seemed to be enough to completely destroy the creature, but looking down at his wound, he knew it would leave a nasty scar, and he would need to go and treat it as soon as he could.

"I'm sorry I lost the bento," Watanuki said.

"That's not what I was worried about," Doumeki managed to say. It was getting much harder to breath.

"It's my fault you were hurt! I'm sorry!" Watanuki was at his side almost immediately, not sure what to do now, but suggested they go back to Doumeki's place for a First Aid kit. Doumeki agreed, but as soon as he began to waked toward his place, his chest tightened, and he collapsed.

"Doumeki!" he could hear Watanuki's cry, and it sounded distant. He heard another voice only moments later. A woman's voice, and he knew it had to be Yuuko. She said the archer had been poisoned.

"Doumeki!" Watanuki yelled, rushing towards the fallen archer. Doumeki was barely conscious, and he didn't know what to . The other boy's breathing was shallow.

"Come on Doumeki! Get up!"

"He's poisoned," came a voice from behind him. Watanuki jumped at the sound of the familiar voice, turning to see Yuuko, a grave look on her face.

"Is it fatal?"

Yuuko nodded, "He is going to die."

Watanuki's eyes went wide, as he held the now unconscious Doumeki close to him. He shook his head, "He can't die! I won't let him die!"

He could feel tears streaming down his cheeks. Yuuko raised an eyebrow, looking over Watanuki for a moment then adding, "Well, if you put it that way, then there is something you can do. Hurry, help me bring him back to my shop."

Watanuki nodded, doing as he was told, mentally cursing at Yuuko for not even seeming to care about another person's live. Though that was her way, he supposed. Yuuko and Watanuki placed Doumeki on a futon in a room at Yuuko's shop that he had not remembered being in before. She left him alone in the room with Doumeki saying she would be back in a few minutes. Watanuki nodded, watching Doumeki's chest rise and fall with each strained breath. He couldn't help but feel very helpless right now. It was his fault, it was always his fault.

"Please hold on," he said softly, not knowing if Doumeki could hear him, which was very unlikely.

A few moments later, Yuuko was back, an odd looking object in her hands that was golden, and seemed to resemble some sort of animal, but he wasn't sure what. She handed the item to him and said, "Bring this to the Green Drug Pharmacy, and ask for Kakei-san. Tell him that you want to trade this to him for the Serpent's Tears. He is a collector of rare things, and I do business with him sometimes."

"This is going to come out of my pay, isn't it?"

Yuuko grinned like a cat, "Smart boy. Now hurry and get going, you don't have a lot of time."

Watanuki nodded, and he was gone, leaving Yuuko in the room with Doumeki. He ran down the empty road toward the pharmacy, vaguely remembering that was where he had gotten the hang-over medicine for Yuuko. It seemed so long ago that he had been there, had it been a year? Maybe longer? He didn't really remember. He wondered if the store was even still open right now, considering how late it was, but some pharmacies were open all night, and he hoped that this one was one of them.

When he finally reached the drug store, he was happy to see that the lights were still on, but curse when he tried to open the doors, and they were locked. He peered in through the glass door, seeing two workers cleaning up. It seemed that they had just closed and their shifts were about over. Watanuki began banging on the door, hoping at least one of them would hear and look up from their work to come help him. The blond was the one to look up. He came over and opened the door.

"I'm sorry, but we are closed right now," the boy said. This was the same guy who sold him Yuuko's hang-over medicine he noticed.

"I need to talk to Kakei-san. Yuuko sent me to talk to him, is he here?"

"Yuuko-san you say?" the boy cringed, it seemed that he knew the witch as well. He turned around and yelled out to the dark-haired boy cleaning on the other side of the store, "Rikuo? Kakei-san is still here right now, right?"

The other boy nodded, "What does he need? The store is closed."

The blond looked back at him again, not even bothering to answer Rikuo's question.

"I need to talk to him now! It's important!" Watanuki found himself blurting out.

"Calm down, I'm sure it's not a matter of life and dea-"

"IT IS!" Watanuki interrupted him.

The other boy sighed, and let him in, leading him toward the back of the store.

"Kakei-san, you have a visitor. Someone that Yuuko sent."

"Yuuko," growled a man in sunglasses sitting next to yet another blond. How odd, why would someone be wearing sunglasses at night?

"I don't have a problem with Yuuko," the other blond said. He stood up and walked over to Watanuki.

"I am Kakei, what does Yuuko need?"

Watanuki pulled the golden object out of his pocket and handed it to Kakei.

"She told me to trade this for the Serpent's Tears. She said you would have it."

He nodded, "I do, but why do you need the Serpent's Tears?"

"My friend was badly poisoned by an evil spirit, and if I don't get the Serpent's Tears, he will die!" Watanuki was on the verge of tears once more.

"This item is not enough for the Serpent's Tears. Tell me, do you love this person?"

Watanuki's eyes went wide as he said that, but he was too upset to yell like he normally would at such an outrageous question.

"What else do you want! I will do anything... I won't let him die!"

That was enough for Kakei it seemed. The man smiled, then said, "You are Watanuki Kimihiro then? Spelled like April 1st?"

"I am. How do you know?"

"Yuuko says you are a good cook. I want you to make us dinner a few times next week, and that plus this item will be enough."

"Done! Hurry! I don't have a lot of time left!"

Kakei nodded, and left the room to retrieve a vial of bluish liquid, blue as Watanuki's eyes. He thanked Kakei-san, and quickly ran from the shop and back down the road back to Yuuko's shop. He didn't know how much time he had left, and god knows he wasted quite a bit with the small talk at the pharmacy.

Many things went through his head on the way back. Kakei-san had asked him if he loved Doumeki. Did he? And not too long ago Yuuko had asked him why he hated Doumeki, and Watanuki, not being able to come up with a real reason had said everything. Though during the past week, when the two had been dodging each other, it seemed that he was longing more and more to be with the other boy. With the past year or so, with all the things that they had been through, he had come to appreciate the other boy's company. Doumeki did so much for Watanuki, but why? Why would someone do that much for just a friend? They were friends, weren't they? That is what Himawari had said, and each time he had denied it, though he knew it was true, what else would you call their relationship?

He didn't realize he was back at Watanuki's shop until the pipe fox pulled on his neck to stop him from running. He hadn't remembered bringing Mugotsu with him, but he was thankful that the pipe fox had stopped him in time. He patted the little animal on the head, and walked into Yuuko's shop, back to the room they had taken Doumeki too earlier.

Doumeki was alone in the room. Where was Yuuko? He guessed it didn't really matter, guessing that he just had to get Doumeki to drink the blue liquid. He knelt over the form of the archer, his breathing still strained. How was he going to get Doumeki up so he could drink the Serpent's Tears?

He began vigorously shaking the other boy, and yelling out his name, but there was no answer, he wasn't roused at all.

Watanuki sighed, looking down. Maybe he had to give the potion to him by force. He wished Yuuko were here to tell him what to do!

He sat down in a more comfortable position, and opened the vial, moving his right hand to the other boy's lips, and lightly parting them with thumb and pointer finger, then dripped the strange blue potion into the boy's mouth.

A few minutes went by, and still nothing. Watanuki began to grow impatient, and he tapped his fingers on the tatami floor. Doumeki did not wake up. Watanuki began to panic.

"Doumeki! Wake up! Don't leave me! DOUMEKI!"

More tears came now, and he had pulled the other boy's body close to him.

"Don't die on me Doumeki!"

His tears stained the Doumeki's clothes, and his heated face became very wet. It was uncomfortable, but it didn't matter to him. Then in a whispered voice he said, "Shizuka.. I... I love you."

Doumeki in Wonderland

Fandom: xxxHolic, slight Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles mixed with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There.
Pairing: Watanuki x Doumeki
Rating: PG-13
Notes: I do not claim these characters, they belong to CLAMP! This is part four, coming after Reason, enjoy! The poem at the end is Jabberwocky from "Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There" Written by Lewis Lewis Carroll and published in 1872. This is Doumeki's POV once again, next chapter will hopefully be the last, and will be in Watanuki's POV, also this one explains where Yuuko went during the last chapter. I had WAY too much fun putting this one together, and with the last chapter's sad ending, I am hoping this will lighten the mood a little. I also need to mention that this was supposed to follow a fancomic I was working on in which he had met the characters from Tsubasa, which is why Doumeki knows who they are.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

His eyes fluttered open, only to see darkness all around him. It was cold, and it was raining. Where was he? Doumeki sat up, not even bothering for his eyesight to adjust to the darkness. Hadn't Yuuko and Watanuki taken him to Yuuko's shop? He was supposed to be poisoned or something. He didn't remember anything after that. Was he dead?

Then he realized it wasn't dark here at all, he was in a room that was painted completely black. He could see himself just fine. He was no longer in his school uniform, but wearing his Gi and black Hakama from archery club. He hadn't remembered changing?

Footsteps could be hear behind him, and he turned to see a rather oddly dressed Watanuki; in pin-stripped black pants and a navy pin stripped vest, a long sleeved white dress shirt with cuffs under the vest, there was even a flower pinned to his vest. The clothes themselves were not what was odd, but the fact that he was wearing a headband with... rabbit ears? Why would he be wearing that? Must be something Yuuko had forced him to wear for some sort of sick entertainment of her's.

"Hey, where are we?"

The boy looked angry for a moment, then yelled, "MY NAME IS NOT 'HEY'! I AM-"

"Watanuki, yeah, I know."

"Watanuki? Who is that? I am the white rabbit." The boy said, raising an eyebrow, and adjusting his glasses.

"White rabbit? What are you talking about?"

"Idiot," the boy said, looking at a pocket watch he had pulled out of his vest pocket, "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't have time to sit and chat. I am very late."

"Late for what?"

The Watanuki rabbit did not answer him, and only ran in the direction Doumeki had been facing earlier, and through a door he had not seen before. Doumeki followed the Watanuki rabbit through the door, and series of other doors, each becoming smaller and smaller in the process. The final door was too small for Doumeki to even crawl through.

"How the hell did Watanuki get through this?" he wondered. He was on hands and knees, looking through the tiny door, seeing Watanuki running further and further away on the other side.

Looking back, he could see that it was still raining, even though he seemed to be inside, he was still getting wet, and he wondered how that was possible.

"Tears," he heard a voice from behind him. He turned around, but saw nothing. Tears? How was that even possible? It didn't make any sense, and what was that voice. This place was weird for sure, and he was sure it must be a dream.

"That's right," came the voice again, but he still could not find the owner. It was a woman's voice, and it sounded much like Yuuko's, so he guessed that that was who it was. But that didn't explain where the hell she was! Or who's tears they were.

"Watanuki-kun's," Came Yuuko's voice once more. Could she read his mind or something? Why was Watanuki crying? He heard the loud 'dong' of a tower clock, as the tears began to come down faster, flooding the room. He had read the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and knew what would most likely come next, but he had not seen anything labeled 'Eat me' or 'Drink me', so maybe it was following its own pattern.

"Follow the white rabbit," Yuuko said. Well that is what happened in the book, and he guessed that was what he should do, for the time being at least.

At this point the room had completely flooded, and he couldn't breath. He began swimming upward, seeing a light. He was closer to the light with each stroke upward, and soon surfaced in the Sea of Tears, as it had been called in the book. He was outside now, no surprises there, and it was a bright sunny day, unfortunately, there was no land in sight.

"Doumeki! You idiot! Wake up! Wake up!" Another voice, this time it sounded like Watanuki, who else would be calling him an idiot? He didn't see Watanuki anywhere, and he was still swimming in the Sea of Tears. A strong gust of wind almost lifted him out of the water, and then a wave came crashing down on him.

Doumeki didn't have time to think as the wave pushed him deep under the water again. He couldn't move, and he was tossed by the waves, making him dizzy. He choked and coughed, but before he knew it, he was covered in sand and lying face down on a beach.

Doumeki looked up, spitting sand out of his mouth, and there he was.

"Watanuki!" he called out. The rabbit-eared Watanuki looked back, but didn't say anything, then ran off in the other direction.

When he finally gained control of his legs, he stood up, and went off in the direction Watanuki went in. He was afraid he had lost the other boy, but determination kept him going.

He was led into a forest. There was a sign at the beginning of the path, the words seemed to have faded, and they pointed in many different directions. He wasn't sure where Watanuki had gone, but he decided to take the left path.

He heard singing, a man's voice, and he followed it, coming to a gate. He walked through the gate, seeing two men sitting at a table, drinking tea.

"Chii wants more tea!" came a woman's voice. He had not seen the woman a second ago, but there she was, sitting between the two men, that looked just like Fye-san and Kurogane-san, but they were dressed much differently then they were last time he had seen them, Fye wearing a top hat, but in a similar outfit as the one he had seen Watanuki in earlier, and Kurogane also had rabbit ears.

Doumeki sighed, and stepped through the gate, "Fye-san, have you seen Watanuki?"

The three at the table exchanged glances then Fye said, "I don't know what you are talking about, but I've never met a 'Fye', or a 'Watanuki'. But, why don't you sit down with us, and have a cup of tea?"

"I'm sorry, but I have to find Watanuki," he explained, just as the rabbit-eared Watanuki came in through another gate, showing something to Fye. Doumeki raised an eyebrow.

"Hey! Where have you been? I've been looking for you."

"How many times do I have to tell you! My name is NOT 'hey'!" The rabbit eared Watanuki yelled, then added to Fye this time, "I am running late, and it seems that my Watch is broken."

Fye looked at it and said, "That is because it is two days too slow."

What the hell? The rabbit eared Kurogane shifted in his seat and said, "I am out of tea."

The woman with odd ears agreed.

"Oh! That means it's time to move down!" Fye exclaimed, pulling rabbit-eared Watanuki and Doumeki into seats after moving down himself.

"Would you like a full cup? Or half a cup?"

"I told you I'm in a hurry!" rabbit-eared Watanuki yelled, and Doumeki routinely put his fingers in his ears. This pissed off Watanuki, as it always did, "And what are you doing blocking me out you idiot! Listen to me when I talk!"

Watanuki crossed his arms, then after realizing he was sitting much too close to Doumeki, stood back up and said, "I have to go, I'm very late!"

Then he ran out of the yard. Doumeki stood up to follow him, but he was pulled back down by the top hat wearing Fye, "You haven't finished your tea yet."

"But-"

"Finish your tea!" the woman said, taking a sip of hers, grinning the entire time.

He quickly downed the entire cup, and ran off. After looking back he saw that none of them had noticed he was gone. It didn't really matter though, so he began walking back down the path he had seen the rabbit-eared Watanuki run off in.

After a while, he came to a clearing, and he saw a large house. He could hear the sound of an infant crying, and he walked toward the house.

Sakura-hime was sitting in a chair, rocking the baby, and when she saw him she said, "Hi! I have somewhere I need to go, do you think you can watch my baby until I return?"

"Sakura-san?"

"Oh no, silly! I'm the Duchess!" she said handing him the baby, "I'll be back soon!" And she was gone before he could stop her. He sighed, well, he couldn't leave an infant here by itself, so he decide to stay, for now.

He sat down, slowly rocking the infant. It had fallen asleep, and seemed to be resting peacefully in his arms. He felt himself growing tired as he sat there holding the infant, and he began to drift.

He was brought back to full attention when he noticed two girls walking in, one with pink hair, the other blue.

"Maru, Moro. What are you doing here?" he asked.

The girls exchanged glances and began laughing, "No! We are Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum! Would you like to hear a story!"

This was getting ridiculous, the characters from the book weren't even appearing at the right times, and quite frankly, this dream was starting to piss him off.

"I have to watch this baby, I'm not in the mood for a story."

"What baby?" they girls asked in unison.

"The one I am holding," he said, raising an eyebrow.

"All Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum see is a wooden doll! Silly boy!" They sang, dancing

around the chair he was sitting in. He looked down, and sure enough, he was holding a wooden doll, go figure. He put the doll down in the chair, and went to leave.

"Where are you going?" The girls asked, following him to the door.

"I have to find Watanuki."

With that, he ran out of the house, and back down the path.

"Doumeki! Wake up!" Came Watanuki's panicked voice again. Doumeki looked up, but there was no Watanuki in sight. He wanted to wake up, but it just wasn't working. He kept walking down the forest path wondering if he would ever wake up. No matter how much he tried, he seemed to be stuck in his own version of Wonderland.

When he looked up again, he was no longer in the forest, but in front of a huge castle, not like any he had ever seen before. A western style castle, well, as western-styled of a castle as he thought one was, since he had only seen pictures of them.

There was Watanuki. He was talking to a very extravagantly dressed Yuuko. She wore a crown, and there was a man next to her, just as extravagantly dressed and also wearing a crown. He had long dark hair, and wore glasses.

"I'm sorry I am late, Queen of Hearts," the rabbit-eared Watanuki said, bowing before the Queen.

"And the king!" The other man exclaimed.

"And the king..." Watanuki added.

"Uh! Why have I been paired up with that creep for your little dream! I'd never marry Clow Reed!" Came a voice from behind him. He turned around to see Yuuko dressed in a purple kimono, she had yellow cat ears with brown tiger stripes. She must be the Cheshire cat of this dream, but why were there two Yuukos?

"I'm the real Yuuko," she said as if reading his mind again.

Doumeki raised an eyebrow.

"It's true, I put myself into your dream to try and get you to wake up. Watanuki went to get you the antidote for the poison you recieved, but he's back now, and also trying to get you to wake up. He has already given you the antidote."

"If the two of you are trying to wake me up, then why can't I wake up?" he asked, very agitated. Yuuko grinned, she made the perfect Cheshire cat.

"You there! How dare you interupt us!" Came fake Yuuko's voice. He turned back once more to see the three that had been talking earlier.

"I was talking to Yuuko-san," he said.

"I don't see anyone there. You must be punished for interupting my conversation with the White Rabbit! Off with his head!"

He turned around again, and the cat-eared Yuuko was gone, just like the Cheshire cat had been in the book. Just his luck.

"Wait. He needs a fair trial first," the king said.

"Fine," fake Yuuko groaned.

"I propse a test," rabbit-eared Watanuki suggested.

"What sort of test?" Fake Yuuko crowed.

"A chess game!"

"That sounds like fun!" The king and queen said together, "Lets begin!"

Doumeki sighed, this was stupid, this wasn't even part of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland .

"You're right, it's from Through the looking Glass, and What Alice Found There ."

Yuuko said, "Kind of. Oh well, I guess you will have to play, Doumeki-kun."

"This is ridiculous."

Cat Yuuko grinned, and when he looked back, he could see that they were only two pieces on a giant-sized chess board, he was the king on white side, While Clow was on the other side, with Fake Yuuko as the Queen piece, real Yuuko or cat Yuuko was a on his side, and for some reason Watanuki was Queen on his side. Two black mokonas were the knights on his side, and two white mokonas were on the other side. A lot of duplicates appeared, oddly enough. Then the game had begun, the other side moving first.

The game dragged on for too long it seemed, and his side was badly loosing at this point. How could his dream be beating him? He was playing a chess game with himself it seemed, but shouldn't that mean that he was evenly matched?

"Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe."

Doumeki looked up, as did all the pieces left. Someone was reciting a poem, and he couldn't recagnize the voice. It had suddenly become very silent, and all the extra chess pieces disappear, except the origional Kin Clow, Queen Yuko, White Rabbit Watanuki, Cat Yuuko, and himself. Someone was running toward them, as quickly as they could.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!" He yelled, still reciting the poem.

"Jabberwocky?"

There was panic, mass chaos as many people began running past them. He looked up into the sky, and could see a dragon-like creature flying towards them. He took in a deep breath, very agitated at this point. He wished this stupid dream would just end so he could wake up and have everything go back to normal, but it just wasn't happening.

He heard a yell, and he looked in the direction it came from. The dragon character had attacked rabbit-eared Watanuki. He began running in that direction instictly.

"You can't fight the Jabberwocky like that," the real Yuuko said.

"I don't have my bow."

"Then use this vorpal sword," she said handing him a sword.

"I don't know how to use a sword," he replied.

"It's a dream, you can do whatever you want."

He nodded, taking the so called 'vorpal sword' from Yuuko, then ran to attack the dragon.

"He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought."

Someone was still reciting the poem as he fought with the dragon called Jabberwocky.

"And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!"

And on the battle went, as both danced with his twirl of the blade.

"One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back."

The dragon now lay dead, and he rushed to Watanuki's side, rabbit-eared Watanuki. He threw himself into Doumeki's arms and yelled, "Doumeki! Wake up! Don't leave me! DOUMEKI!"

More tears came now, and he had pulled rabbit-eared Watanuki close.

"Don't die on me Doumeki!"

"Watanuki, I'm not going to die!"

Then the poem was finished by the reciter:

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe."

He held rabbit-eared Watanuki close as he said, "Don't die! Shizuka.. I... I love you."

More Than Anything

He was still holding Doumeki as tightly as he possibly could, tears streaming down his cheeks. Yuuko told him that antidote would work, and nothing seemed to be happening no matter how many times he shook the unconscious boy or yelled at him to wake up. He didn't want someone to die again because of him.

He didn't even noticed when Doumeki's eyes opened, and didn't know that he had obviously heard everything the other boy had said. He smirked, then said in his ear, "I love your cooking."

"Jerk!" Watanuki yelled, letting go of Doumeki so that he dropped back to the futon. He turned away from Doumeki, and was ready to leave the room, wiping the tears from his face.

Doumeki sat back up, "Hey, where are you going?"

"My name is NOT 'hey'!" Watanuki yelled, just as he was pulled back toward the futon. He looked at Doumeki, who was still smirking.

"Stop looking at me like that you creep."

"Like what?"

Watanuki looked away again, feeling a blush on his face. Just in time to see Yuuko walk into the room, grinning like a cat. He jumped up away from the futon and walked toward the door.

"So, he's awake."

Watanuki only nodded, but didn't even bother to look back at Doumeki.

"I guess I owe you for that sword."

This time he did look back. What the hell was that thick-headed idiot talking about?

Yuuko grinned more, "We'll talk about that later. Watanuki! We need food."

Watanuki groaned and began walking toward the kitchen in time to hear, "And don't forget sake!"

"YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRINKING!" he yelled back, stomping the rest of the way to the kitchen with Maru and Moro dancing around him saying "Watanuki's mad! Watanuki's mad!"

The girls giggled more, making Watanuki more agitated yet. But all he did was grumbled as he put on his apron and began cooking, since not just any snack would do for Yuuko.

A few days later, and everything had seemed to go back to normal; Watanuki brought three bento boxes to school, and they all ate together with Himawari. Doumeki walked Watanuki to and from school and to Yuuko's shop, accompanying him on a mission one night. While they didn't talk about anything that had happened that day, there was one thing that had changed; Watanuki wasn't fawning over Himawari anymore, and she didn't even seem to notice.

He didn't like it one bit, and he was depressed again. Did Doumeki seriously love Watanuki's cooking more than he loved Watanuki? Why would he say something like that? He had not ignored Doumeki after they had returned to school, but neither had they talked. It was painful to be so close, yet it felt as if they were miles away.

"Watanuki-kun? Are you alright?" Himawari asked him during lunch.

He looked up from his bento and slowly nodded, not sure what to say, even to her. He needed to talk to someone, but he wasn't even sure how to go about it. He looked at the spot where Doumeki would be sitting if he were here, but he hadn't come to lunch today. Archery practice, Himawari had told him. He quickly finished eating, then stood up, telling Himawari that he was going to go and give Doumeki his bento now. He had to talk to Doumeki.

There was a very awkward silence after he had handed the bento box to Doumeki, who didn't even say thank you, as usual. He watched the other boy eat, sitting down next to hi. They didn't even exchange glances as they sat there in silence. Stupid Doumeki, he thought, why is it so hard to talk to him?

Doumeki looked up, seeing that Watanuki was staring at him.

"What?" he asked. Why couldn't the moron even say more than a few words? Watanuki's expression turned to a scowl.

"Idiot," he said, looking away, and he could feel himself beginning to blush.

"I don't think you came here just to call me names," the archer said in an even tone.

"Of course not you jerk! The great Watanuki-sama has come to bring you lunch!"

"Hm."

"That's not even a word! Why won't you talk to me?"

"What do you want to talk about?"

The beginnings of a blush had suddenly changed to make his entire face red.

"Do you really love my cooking..... more than me?" he asked, the last part being whispered, and Doumeki couldn't make it out.

"What?"

"Do you really love my cooking more than me, you jerk!"

The looked that crossed Doumeki's face just then had to have been shock, even with the boy's lack of emotion. All too soon, Watanuki regretted asking that question, he just wanted to crawl away and disappear just then.

"Why would you say that?"

"Don't you remember! When you woke up after you had been poisoned, you said you loved my cooking, after I had said..."

"Kimihiro."

His head shot back to look at Doumeki, he did not just...

"I DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISION-"

"You called me by my first name first."

That was enough to shut Watanuki up. He looked back at the ground, his eyes growing wet. He felt and arm around his wast, and a hand at his chin, gently turning his head to look back at Doumeki. A thumb over his eyes, wiping away the tears.

"Do you love me?"

Doumeki nodded.

"More than my cooking?"

"More than anything," Doumeki said, gently pulling Watanuki into a kiss.
