We all know that PERSOnal COMputers are advancing and soon we will have persocoms. But tell me. when do you think they will come, how much will they be, and who will invent them. I belive 8 years, 10000-15000, a new computer company that was just created 9.5 months before

i'd say by 2019 but they'll cost about 7 -10 grand

Scandalous bb fat moe 123 i'd say by 2019 but they'll cost about 7 -10 grand well remember this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4714135.stm we we keep going going like that well have one by 2019 maybe 2020 cause i mean they already have a thinking robot (it wonders about its gender) and we have robots that display different types of emotions and we have robots that can walk all we need to do is make them smaller which would take a few generations of robots to finally be ready for the market

considering a persocom is like life size *most of the time exceptions for sumomo >;D* and they are pretty smart and even IF in the future we do invent these persocoms, they would atleast in the beginning be a pretty big sum of money but then later on in the years once we become more advanced, they will be cheaper maybe.. 2k or so? comment~

I think they would be like 20k. But if they ever do invent persocoms i will get a portable one like sumomo! 3nodding blaugh

I thnik that they will make persocoms in 2015 and they will be 5-7000.

I would say they'll come out in 2017-2020 and they'll be about 4,000-10,000 and will graduatly get cheaper. I'd want mine normal size though smile

Persocoms like sumomo's size are very close to being made but a full body one like...Chii would be a little while longer....
Mini persocom: 2089: one thousand
Full persocom: 2100-2199: 5k

2070 or so. <---This is for GOOD, fully fuctional, fully sized.
They are going to be expencive as hell.

I think we could have persocoms in the next twenty years, but it will take a LONG time before they are as advanced as what we see in the animes. I mean, they can give it a flesh like covering, but can they simulate sweating, hair and nail growth, breathing, eyes dilating, etc? Okay, the persocoms in Chobits might not be that human, but with the exception of their ears they are able to nearly pass for human. I think it will be a long time before we can create an artificial intelligence that really mimics humans.
I think that when they are available, they will be at least $20,000 to $30,000 to start with and then be like all other technologies and become cheaper as they become more outdated and newer versions become available.

Considering all the crazy stuff that Sumomo's able to think and do (throw confetti, pull out a monitor about the same size as herself, climb up people), it doesn't seem like there'll be a pocket persocon that advanced for quite a while.
Life-sized, that seems a bit more likely. And all the things in Chobits that they do seem possible. Somewhere in 2015, I think. 3nodding
