Instant Love
It seemed so easy
And maybe it was
The package said
Instant Love
I look back now
After all those years
The small print said
Just Add Tears.
The recipe looked simple
There was you; there was me
Add a little sugar
You’ve got sweet tea
But as in everything
I forgot a part
I couldn’t stop you
From breaking my heart
Like a drink that’s bitter
Or a song you can’t hear
It’s Instant Love
